sorry for not responding, i just saw your question today. 3.5" raise on the tranny and narrowed 6". the front is raised 3/4" with 1/2"tilt backward for caster along with dropped spindles and adjusters. by the way it is for sale with trailer last sept it ran 11.82 et @ 113mph at bandimere
i used to always go to the bandimere speedway with my dad as a kid, we'd love going when it was just all drag bugs and get in free if you drove a bug there...ahh the good 'ol days.
@firebeetlese i don't think its the cam. i think it is tuned correctly. the idle is set at 1300 -1500 rpm , carbs are sync'd and have the proper idle jets. most importantly my friend eddie radillo tuned it.
at bandemere speedway in denver, co, which is over a mile high i ran a 11.88 sec 1/4 mile 113 mph. at grand junction,co which is a couple thousand feet lower in altitude i ran 11.82 et
thanks for watching the video, i welded a piece of sheet metal to mount the push button switch. there is no key switch on the dash just a push button. the wiring is straight forward, the push button interrupts the 12 volts going to the starter solenoid, push of the button completes the circuit. from my fuse box i ran a wire to the back of the car to the push button then from the push button the starter solenoid. the in car video shows the other push button were the ashtray use to be.
Awesome! I love how modified bugs sound this is fantastic and it also looks mean haha, nice bug buddy!
