every one of those velaro trains have the same interior as the "old" ICE 3 in Germany... railway companies all over the world should be a bit more innovative rather than just packing every space with chairs
is it just me or doesnt that look exactly like the wall to the right of the screen? and why isnt that shown on the screen instead? I mean.. it really looks fake, thos numbers and stuff
So this is the second time China bought German engineering and bring the best out of it. First they build a Transrapid line and it works perfectly. Nobody in Ger wanted it. Then they bought Velaro Trains and they have no problems with them.
!!!CONGRATULATIONS!!!
The Parade route in Germany for CRH3 or ICE3 as it is called in Germany, is Frankfurt - Cologne or Nuremberg-Ingolstadt where the maximum speed is 300 km/h.
These trains are AMAZING. Just got back from China and been on the Changsha/ Guangzhou route 2 weeks ago. 750km (465mile) route, and the train ride seriously took less than 2.5 hours. Ride was very comfortable, and feels exactly like riding a VIA rail train here in Canada, even at 330kph-350kph speeds (yes, the trains DO go up to 350kph).
the most important technology of the highspeed train is not the train itself but the rail. it has too be measured and constructed very precisely to keep the train runs steady and safe. the route of this train is all flat land thus the rail is easier to construct. but consider the geography of mountain lands like japan it'll be much more difficult to construct the highspeed railway.
the road is not jingjintang high way, that's the new jingjin highway. the old one has 2 lanes this new road has 3. i achieved 240kmh on that road but still far less than the train. if some one can drive over 330kmh on that road and pass that train i'll consider him a hero...
@Seasue, I think your friend is quite ignorant for making such generalisations. Although, I do agree with him to some extent - Americans and the US society in general tends to be more self-centered than, say EU. By the way, here's an interesting fact - I'm not from the US. I just can't be arsed to change the profile information.
No, I don't know how many highways there are. What I do know, however, is that a great % of the population of China is malnourished and has no running water.
Talking about no running water, there are some interesting facts. The best water in China is from countryside. And the water is not running water, but the countryside people directly pump them from the well. There is absolutely no pollution, no bleach. (In industrial area, it's polluted though). Nowadays, more and more places turn to use running water, but personally, i miss the old days with cleaner water.
Amazing, High speed train, Internet.. Technolgies allow mankind to move from point A to pointer B faster and faster. Less time, Cheaper. Our world is small now. Mankind are closer now, Share and work together, the better world for all tomorrow.
Electric fast train, 0 emition of Carbon. Way to go! China.
How much carbon US people produce per person? How many big pickups US people ride just for commuting? Never mention the Hummer which is just a machine burning gas!
hm... same logics , you might want to return all ur guns, compasses, all paper based products and last but not least, the national treasures u have stolen from china in the early 19th century??
China did not steal the ICE 3. China purchased the part of ICE 3 technology.
You are confusing the ICE 3 with the maglev train technology. There's no such thing as stealing. We are just learning and building our own trains. How is that stealing?
Stealing your train technology is like stealing Newton's 3 laws. It's open to everyone who can read it.
Why should we pay more money, if we could manufacture it ourselves?
Shit! Germany makes lots of money from that. Just ask SIEMENS, how happy they are to get the order from China!! They had a hard time competing with French, Canadian and Japanese!!
actually, china has the some of the fastest "commercial" high speed trains in the world. most of the average ones in japan r slower in contrast with those in europe.
Japan is great in designing and building the industry and technology. However, China and Europe are great at taking it to a whole new level. Japan must be credited for implemented the shinkansen in the 70s. Since that time, siemens, bombardier, alstorm have arose and offered trains at higher speeds with greater comfort. All train experts know Japan's trains r now a tad bit behind countries that have high speed rail. Thus, u dont see them in many parts of the world.
Well, I don't like Japan because they didn't apologize for WWII. But I do respect them in many aspects. As a bid country with much broader lands and resouces, we Chinese should do much better than the Japanese
Actually, past prime ministers have apologized deeply for ww2. i like to see the us apologizing for nuking them. Even as a Chinese person who has visited Nanjing and understand WWII history, I want to bury the hatchet against the Japanese. China will surpass Japan and it already has in many ways. The US has arguably done more diplomatic shit to China than Japan did in WW2.
US did lots of shit to China, but Japan is not that easy as you thought. Japan and US are together. And please remember, Japan want US to be part of the Aisan alliance, which is completely a JOKE!
No, they dont. Japan has a new left wing PM now who does not want US interference in Asia. I'll send u a few links to prove this. If China doesnt take advantage of his stances, we're gonna miss this great opportunity.
Well, everyone knows Japan right wing is the holy shit. Who can guarantee that the right wing will not gain power in the near future? Without more apology, we cannot trust Japan. Japan has hurt the whole east asia. If Japan wanna play a positive role in asia affairs, they must do much more work to compensate the negative effect of WWII. Otherwise, we cannot trust them.
I agree. And Japan should work to prove to East Asia and China that it has changed. IHowever, i have a deep distrust of the US meddling in Chinese affairs. We all know the goal of the US is to someday place a military base on dprk soil to spy on China. This is why it is key to counter the US influence in the E. Asian region.
Pls dont hate Japan for what happened in the past. What they did was terribly wrong but realize that the country has changed. Infact, the new pm wants an asian alliance with zero us interference. The US, atm, is trying to contain China like they did with the Soviets. In other words, they want us to be weak and crippled. China will need Asia's help, including Japan, in countering the US influence along the region.
@mattlim76 thanks credible news source.... not. I think matters this complex are completely up to the discretion of someone doing their own research. Nice vid btw poster!
Just cuz i dont get my news from fox or cnn doesnt make my knowledge flawed. I like how USA sticks their nose in North Korea's business and makes wild claims that this is related to democracy, freedom, and all the other bullshit ideas. I like to see how u guys would react if China started having military bases or exercises up in the Arctic.
@mattlim76 Let me tell you something, and BELIEVE me you better listen, America has enough Nuclear weapons to destroy the world over 2,000 times over. Do you honestly think you're going to be able to just kick us off the planet? Good luck, I'll be ready for the day I see a Chinese motherfucker show up in my front yard and claim my freedom. There's one thing the Chinese don't have, good genetics, you're all skinny, weak, timid little fucks that will one day think your the shit and all perish.
Also, most Americans hate the Chinese because the workmanship of your products are generally shoddy, don't last, and use technology that dates back to the 90's. Learn to create something of your own and not steal technology from other countries. You're all a bunch of egotistical fucks with an over-population problem, not to mention child labor. You call us disgusting? Look at what you do to children on a daily basis. You're a starving country kept alive only by your manufacturing base.
Nonsense. Japan has no lines running above 300km/h yet. They will open some 320km/h lines in the next few years, but that will still be short of the speeds that the CRH3 runs at. The Japanese aren't yet sure how to make it viable for speeds above 320km/h on account of things that happened in tests. The French are currently running the TGV-Est at 320km/h and may upgrade it to 350km/h later, but we'll see.
@graemephillips The CRH2 is based on Kawasaki Heavy Industries E2 Series Shinkansen and the other CRH1, 3 & 5 are based on European trains, probably not a technical impossibility for the Japanese to speed over 300 if they want.
@eCicerone the japanese have the trains. it is the track that the problem, it not cheap to upgrade a running line since you have to disrupt service. they are planning new lines but they are probably going to abandon the maglev like china and use conventional bullet train because of operation cost and radiation of maglev... we shall see.
@lagrangewei I agree with you, the limit is, as I said not a technological limit, but as you said the tracks aren't safe enough to use with higher speeds.
germany has the ICE Velaro and france the TGV but both are limited cause of the old rails. But the german Maglev is the future, much faster then on rails
@lagrangewei I say just stick to rail. It's FAR more cost effective and more reliable. The speed bullet trains travel currently are fast enough and still get people going from far distances on a very short amount of time.
damn! I wish the expressways in Chicago were like that!!! I think the gas price has to go up to $9 a gallon for the major expressways to be like that!!! I saw only a few cars on that highway. That train is quiet and fast as heck!!!
Nothing compert the city train in shanghai i once was going from airport to city and that train goes 420max and 300 minimum

At least the weather is nice! (I love cold weather)
I don't know what type of high-speed train set is going to use in the thailand high-speed
rail.
The bangkok to nong khai route takes about 3 hours so i think it would be CRH3.
The slower CRH2 will take a little longer, definitely not 3 hours.
China is the only one invest in this project so i don't think they gonna make
the specially desgined train for our HSR and i don't any model other than CRH.
