  • stupid brain...

  • Wow! Epic...boredom.

  • "I wanna violate your expectations... in a pleasing way."

    God, that sounded dirty...

  • For the BMW ad; say no to hydrogen. The well-to-wheel transportation efficiency of hydrogen is 1.0%, much lower than most methods of energy use. Be serious, as I am about energy. Research this so the truth will set you free. Many of the newly proposed energy-wise proposals are foolish. Some work. Research, discover, document & honestly promote the winners to inspire an unending chain of progress. We can all be winners if you help! Think first!

  • stop what from happening, i cant see anything but the nuts turning inside out, this is stupid, this is not science but social science for the stupid.

  • I am insulted by this. This research proves what, that scientists can purposefully marginalize what they are trying to study in order to make their inept theories seem more plausible?

  • re: dolphins / lovers

The illusion is called “Message of Love from the Dolpins” (Message d’Amour des Dauphins) by a Swiss artist.

To see the outlines of the dolphins, go to

    blog.gg8.se/images/message-of-love-from-the-dolphins/dolphin-vase-outline.jpg

Still don't know how the the train illusion works - annoying he didn't explain.

  • I refuse to believe the vase has dolphins

  • where are the freaking dolphins? I'm such a pervert!

  • I can undo the holes... it is indeed difficult, but I can do it.

  • pause at 00:59 and he looks funny

  • There's a fascinating conversation with Al Seckel at Jeffrey Epstein Science dot com

  • i want to know what happened with the train, and no i didnt see any dolphins.

my mama always said i think of food when im hungry ;P

  • @cagv818 Look up Lionel Magic Mountain, it explains the train. It actually goes down on a loop which runs under the table. The full video title on youtube is "Polar Express Magic Mountain Disappearing Train Layout". The track isn't the same as this one, but it uses the exact same "technology" to produce the optical illusion.

  • WHAT DOLPHINS?! WTF?! I DEMAND TO KNOW WHERE THE DOLPHINS ARE!!! AAAAAAH!!! THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!

  • Wow, the end was lame.

  • I never saw any dolphins...

  • I'm watching a youtube clip of what is essentially a guy showing an audience youtube clips.

  • @flexicon1996 you have also probably read a book written by someone who is talking about what they have read and Wahol's art is just art of everyday items.

  • lol...the one with the nuts i was able to see the reverse of it...same with the dolphins. it took me a LONG time to see the OTHER image. ew. lol. the allusions are fairly easy to undo in your mind if you just focus on it long enough and tell your mind to see the other image.

  • This really needs to be uploaded in HD so that we can see it properly

  • Jerry Andrus was a friend of mine.

  • bah, also, i cant fucking see any of the illusions

  • bah, i could stop the screw

  • TRAINS

Since they showed the mountain from multiple sides, its probably not an optical illusion. So, the train track may go the only place you cannot see - under the table (through a hole obscured by the mountain tunnel) around in a tight loop (still under the table), and back up to table level to continue. Thats my guess.

  • I can stop the crazy nuts from happening for a few seconds, but then they go back and I am sad :(

  • Neuroscience rules!

  • our professor refers to this video in his lecture as well.

  • Look at the 'crazy nuts' with your head tilted 90 degrees horizontally.

  • yeah i wanna find out wat happens there!

  • what about the trains?

  • I find the guy in the audience funny, the one who says loud and clearly "HOW DOES THAT WORK!?".

  • perceiving is deceiving...

  • I perceive your comment as a total lie.

  • i perceive your comment on his comment to just be a ego boost for you by saying its a lie

  • @worldsocialismdotorg such an ignorant comment

  • he amazed me at first but bored me at the end, clearly the brilliant stuff wasn't created by him.

  • i couldent see most of it cuz the quality was crap

    oh well

  • i saw no dolphins. i saw SEX.HOT SWEATY DIRTY SEX.LOL. we have been ruined by sex. sex dominates 99.9 percent of the world.its pathetic that ppl use sex to sell.

  • you are pathetic

  • where did you get these percentages lol

its mostly the western world, but its getting more worldwide

  • How does the train thing work?

  • Doesn't this guy sound like David Schwimmer?

  • Whats with the audience i don't see anything funny.

Ok, so he didn't say anything new I think everyone knows already that our eye sight is not perfect. How light falls makes the difference how we see things. Another david copperfield fan.

  • This man did not pay his bill to me. Has this happened to anyone else? Please comment.

  • you were right. if you see a bigger version of the picture you can see that the sex is in white, and the dolphins are in gray.

god our brains are so odd.

  • so i take that you could see the dolphins?

  • I really can't make out the Saatchi & Saatchi beer commercial. Does anybody have a link to a high quality version of it?

  • I can't find the two women in matching colors picture. Any help???

  • I still can't see the dolphins.

  • me neither.

  • word on that

  • aaron brown at 11:17

  • Im a fan of ted videos, but this one was kind of disappointing... It started out interesting... I especially liked the painting with the skull, but when they presented what they had done at the end it was pretty simple. A few of the times, they weren't illusions at all, instead an animated morph between two figures.

  • That's because the last part isn't really about fooling the brain, but making one thing into another in a fancy way. It doesn't tickle the brain at all, it's just "clever" design. Some of the classic examples are great, but he really should have brought something better of his own.

  • nothing special

  • i love this channel

  • For me the way to keep the nuts in their real perspective is to sort of look just "beyond" the nut instead of focusing directly on it. Similar to the way you look at Magic Eye stereograms to see the 3-d embedded picture.

  • I was able to see the nuts in their real perspective the first time he showed the loop. I just look at the inside edge of the right nut (that sounds so wrong). But yeah, I don't find it difficult at all.

  • The brain wired exceedingly well. It just works differently than a computer!

Computers cannot think. No computer can do what any insect can do.

Brains and computers operate on very different principles.

  • if you look very closely at the crazy nuts then it dosnt change

  • Agreed, I did it the first time he said try it!.

  • amazinig how easily our visual sense is tricked. That explains the success of magicians. very pleasant and entertaining way of speaking too. Thank you

  • i lov eit i wish the images were larger tho

  • you can make these video's full screen on your computer by clicking on the tab on the very far right at the bottom of the video. There are two grey colored boxes there..click on the one to the far right that looks like it has a little solid box inside of it. To go back to regular screen just hit the Escape key (Esc)

  • i was sorta thinking more like higher resolution

  • Pretty cool, but please post a version of the video in which you zoom in on the slides.

  • Luvs it!
