wich hardware you run? I had problems in the past to load compiz in ubuntu, mandriva one misconfigured X.11 and openSuse misconfigured X.11, all with a x300/500 ati radeon, and a amd64 3000+...
I have been swapping back and forth between Kubuntu and Fedora... I like each for different reasons.. Currently running Fedora as Kubuntu doesn't have the latest versions of some programs available from the repositories like Fedora does.
Real Men use Gentoo Linux! You don't know crap if you can't install from scratch without genkernel! and if you can't find the application you want get the source and install it.
Real Linux users don't insult other Linux users because they are SUPPOSED to be smart and above the Windows users and their petty childish remarks of "mine is better than yours" type of remarks.... grow up! What age are ya? 14? haha
Oh and with regards to "if you don't know how to.." type remarks.. life is a journey where we learn as we go..
Oh and I had a look at Gentoo.. didn't like it. I tired over 10 different versions of Linux and the ones I came to like was Fedora and Kubuntu.
Well then "Real Linux User" why are you so offended when I said Real Men use Gentoo if you are truly above those petty childish remarks? If you knew anything about computers you would see why Gentoo is the best Distro, but hey if you want to start with a inferior insecure distro that you install like windows because you don't really now how to install it from scratch then go right ahead. The only people I have ever heard say they didn't like Gentoo are the ones who FAIL at installing it!
Fail at installing it? Look back at what I said! I said I tried it! Meaning I installed it and gave it a go! I didn't like it! Just because YOU think it is the best doesnt mean it is. Opinions are like arseholes.. everyone has one!
I never got this "real men" thing. Why use Gentoo? Harder and more advanced to use? Its like saying only real men use sand paper to wipe their asses. Give me some andrex toilet paper any day.
wine or cedega both arent very stable, plus a lot of games dont even install let alone work. It's great that theyre trying to get gaming into linux, but its far from completion.

Linux is good because its free, but Windows blows it out of the water because of it's game support.
