  • my best fish is a vea tail there the most beautiful fish and my second one is a fantail

  • Beautiful fish! They've all got very nice flowy fins!

I had a pure white Globe eye with beautiful fins like that too, but she also passed away due to Chemical poisoning (I used the product Algaefix, and my fish all turned up sick and dying shortly after! Turns out it's toxic if you don't have proper airation. And my air pump was a bit too small for my 75 gallon thank ): I really miss her and my other fishy friends!

  • @MulticoloredOctopus5 Im sorry for your loss. To me, the loss of one of my fish hurts. they are my little buddies :)

  • @smukkegreen Thank you (: Haha, everybody should have goldfish, because they are very good buddies! They're always happy, and excited to see you!

  • Do you know the breed name? Or are they ryukins with longer tails

  • @gingerlover43015 The white one is a VEILTAIL, Orange is FANTAIL, Red/orange is FANTAIL, red/white is REDCAP ORANDA, if that is what u mean?

  • I have ryukins but they had short tails

  • Can you tell me where I can get these at?

  • @gingerlover43015 Im from Denmark, so i doubt my local life fish shop helps :D

  • Ddo

  • Stunning!

  • @akeames Thank you.....we still miss her :(

  • @smukkegreen I lost 4 Ryukins about 4 years ago now. It wasn't because I didn't know how to fix the ammonia problem. We have a terrible ammonia problem in our tap water here. It's from the corporate farming going on here. Chemical fertilizers run off into the river with the rain. It's a nightmare for fish keepers! My tap water still sometimes tests at 3ppm. I still don't know how to fix this problem. My beautiful fish died horribly! :'(

  • @akeames Wow....thats so sad :( but with 3ppm ammonia i would not even attempt to keep fish. they get "burned" to death. is it even safe to drink?

  • @smukkegreen I'm not sure if it is safe to drink. If it's enough to kill fish, one would think that it isn't safe. But I haven't noticed any ill effects in my health, but I still think it's unhealthy to drink it. Ammonia is a waste product that the body doesn't want.

  • @smukkegreen Yes offcourse. i forget that in many countries you cant drink tapwater. we can in Denmark...at least for now.

  • @akeames Get an ammonia filter pad. I got on here in Kansas at my local independent fish/pet store. $6 for a cut-your-own-size pad. Sounds like you need to ask your LFS if anyone there knows how to fix said problem, since it seems to be widespread in your area.

  • Wow, she was beautiful!I didn't even know there were white ones. What was her name?

  • @WhiteLionness She was called "Tøsefisken" :)

...and she was orange when we bought her, but turned white after a few years.

  • @smukkegreen lol cute name!

  • How many goldfish do you have and how many gallons is your fish tank ?

  • its so pretty :D

  • @ZanujAdonis I have 5 in a 250 liter tank now.

This movie shows them in their old, too small tank of 135 liters.

  • I bet that Veiltail is worth a lot. I've never seen one that beautiful.

  • @laskolasko

Maybe....she sure did mean a lot to me :)

  • Is there a difference between veiltail goldfish and veiltail bettas?

  • @berserkangel1

Well yes, it is 2 totally different types of fish :)

    Try googling them both.

  • @berserkangel1 what kind of quesion is that?

  • That white veiltail is BREATHTAKING! I am a beginner goldfish keeper and I am twelve,I had a common goldfish-my,he certainly didn't say much, but I DID grow quite attached to him..and,I am sad to say,he died this afternoon.I'm not sure why,I had a ten gallon tank but my filter was huge, you know the type in which the water level can only reach its top-and it was very big,it took up too much space,I believe.I fed him only 1 flake a day.Could I keep a veiltail?

  • @berserkangel1

According to the book "Fancy Goldfish" and several goldfish forums, the minimum tank size for a fancy goldfish, like a Veiltail, is 20 gallon and then 10 gallon more per fish. (example 3 fish = 20+10+10 =min. 40 gallon)

And the is MINIMUM reccommended tanksize.

  • @berserkangel1 you didn't feed him enough. Goldfish eat alot! do a bit of research on how much to feed a goldfisn.

  • What a beautiful veiltail! What I would give to find one half as pretty as that... actually, what I'd give just to FIND one!

  • Nooooooo! I won a fish at a fair and he said white, or white and orange, i went with white and orange because i thought the other one was ill for some reason, now i regret it :( The fish doesnt look very happy in his bowl so im buying him a proper tank today and some company :P

  • @Ettio137

That is a very good idea, bowls are NOT good homes for goldfish.

Fancy goldfish need at least 20 gallon for the first fish and 10 gallon more per fish.

And that is MINIMUM recommended tank size....more is better :)

  • Where were you able to buy them? I am having a hard time finding them anywhere :(

  • @AlmondMoose

In a local fish store here in Denmark where i live :)

  • i want ur white gold fish that one is the one that caught my attention for how much did u buy it for?????

  • @TheAaron4076

Sadly she is dead now, but she was awesome.

I bought her as a little orange baby goldfish for a few dollars.

She changed color later on :)

  • oh wow that fish was beautiful!

  • @MsBubbles44

    Thank you.

    She really was :)

  • @kayylovely

    About 2 years.

It was a tiny little orange fish when i bought it :)

  • beautiful fish

  • @MegaPlanelover

    Thx.

Its some time ago now, but i still miss her :)

  • Hi there nattie911

You should visit the site "Kokos Goldfish forum" and read about your fishs needs there.

I have just moved my "algea eater" (Ancistris) because it attacked my goldfish at night :(

  • i was wondering what size tank i would need if i wanted 2-3 veiltails along with one algea eater, and how difficult is it to keep these fish?

  • So pretty i have a hard time finding goldfish like that, a lpcal store sells them but the sell out fast lol i cant get one

  • I got her from at local danish petstore.

She looked like a tiny orange fantail, about 1½ inches.

Only later she turned white and we discovered that she was in fact a veil tail.

I will never forget her :)

  • NO way, sorry for your lost, she was VERY beautiful. May I ask, where did you get her? Thanks
