  • i love the hand movement she does when she sings high notes:3

  • The song is actually called New York I love You, But You're Bringing Me Down. Yes it is that extremely long title lol it's originally by LCD Soundsytem but wow Lauren did an amazing job covering that song

  • She sounds much better singing this than she did "My Man." But she's got to let go of that horrible, Annie-like belt. I still think she's not good enough to handle Funny Girl, and her voice quality isn't suitable. They're going to have to change the keys. I'm kind of sick of famous actresses wanking off with their "quirky", cutesy, "off-beat" little bands. Yeah, I'm talking to you Zooey Deschanel. You can put a cork in it too, Scarlett Johansson!

  • I love Lauren. She's really really gorgeous!

  • Given that this was shot two years ago, I'm going to let this rather...subpar performance slide - god knows what even a month can do to a singer. Besides, she auditioned for the role, so I'm sure she can handle it.

  • Starts out okay, but turns into a mess--Absolutely painful to listen to!!!

  • Lauren, you in danger girl! Lea Michelle is going to KILL YOU!

  • @islezeus Sorry islezeus, Lea is more Debbie Boone than Barbra Streisand! Her voice makes all the right noises, but seems without substance. At 19 Barbra was kooky and nuanced. Lea is sweet and ..well...a bit girl-next-doory. But Ms Ambrose has the acting chops and cutting sexual edge to play the 'Fanny Brice' of 'Funny Girl' brilliantly. (The real Fanny Brice was a different animal again!)

  • @jimdivax Totally agree. Lauren Ambrose was a really impressive choice to play Funny Girl. She'll be great.

  • @jimdivax I like your post up until you said "sexual edge"..... sexual edge and funny girl? LMAO ok

  • WOW!!! I love this!! and yes I loved Six Feet Under too!, Can't wait to see her in Funny Girl

  • The new Fanny Brice!! Congrats Lauren!!!

  • Who's the hot looker with the banjo? Yummy.

  • She has a great voice..I wish the band was a little tighter though...I know it s a ragtime feel but i think it could metered better.

  • I love Lauren!!!

  • She's married to the drummer ya know

  • All I see is KW <3

  • does she got a cd out or something?

  • This Woman Is Amazing!!!

  • I miss Six Feet Under so much.. Love Ambrose forever!

  • She was that much more sensational last night, January 21, 2010, once again at Joe's Pub. At a different time, Janis Joplin might have seriously had to watch her back. I didn't see anyone with a camera at this one, though, so unfortunately, I'm not sure if any of Lauren's spectacular performance will show up on Youtube.

  • when did you shoot this movie? and where was it?

  • it was last sunday, in new York, in a place calle Joe's Pub. The concert was great!

  • yeah.. i hear it! love her!

  • I concur! It was a great concert! Great singer :)

  • Great Voice!
