I liked this video. I just realized I have a anger problem and I needed to something to learn right now so I can start practicing at home. I realized that I have a problem when I took my hand off from around my wife's throat. I was still in denial but she said that the only way that I could come back home is if I take anger management classes. I just watched this video so ill see if it works. Thank you.
ARGGGGHHH! THIS VIDEO PISSED ME OFF! I'd rather have a buffalo take a diarrhea dump in my ear than watch this shit! It fuckin sucks and it suckin fucks! AND I HATE IT!
Yes, anger is normal. The goal is not to eliminate anger completely. The goal is find time and space to decide how to best act once you become angry. With new clients, I explain that anger is to be looked at in terms of frequency, intensity and duration. Each one of those dimensions can be looked at on a 10-point scale. So it's largely a matter of HOW intense is one's anger, how long does it last when one becomes angry, and how often does it arise.
IMHO, this is mostly a social problem. These emotional states, i.e. anger, fear, sorrow, are natural and healthy emotional states for any human organism to experience from time to time. The problem usually is, particularly with anger, sometimes with sorrow, that they often are socially unacceptable to express. What you teach are social skills in light of the fact that those higher on dominance hierarchies will often punish those lower for expression of such emotions... particularly anger.
@pmccarthy001 there is nothing wrong with anger. Anger is normal and probably healthy in some way. Some people... like myself... make decisions, try to talk, argue, yell while under the influence in and while FOCUSING on it.
I say things I don't mean in a way I shouldn't say it. Some people might hit people or things. Once it's over, I don't like what I did and regret it. So yes, everybody gets angry, but it affects people in different ways.

Great tips for managing your anger at home with your family. There are so many fathers out there who need this badly. Thanks for helping us dads out!
