Not to say goodbye to the fans to say goodbye to Peter criss and ace. Eric singer is an awesome drummer. Tommy Thayer doesn't replace ace. He plays his own style just has the same makeup. Love the old and new kiss. They rock

i have footage of their non-makeup yrs on Kissology II, but i don't watch it that much as others. for me the paint has always been part of the KISS sex appeal. :) u guys can pelt me or beg to differ
I am sure it took them a bit longer the first few time of applying it. For me, it takes roughly an hour and a half to two hours to actually paint up my face and set the makeup so it won't run off. It is a bitch but as you said "the payoff... priceless.

Even before KISS came along, bands were using makeup in one way or another. Now, many bands are copting KISS in one way or another. What is NOT cool about it? I would rather watch a band that goes overboard and REALLY entertains an audience than watch a bunch of dull people stand around and do very little but strum guitars without any showmanship.

@zunidoll2 well I don't know if you are beeing sarcastic, but I'm not! obviously I don't have a video but the story is that Ipainted my face for a contest (and I won haha) and I was very late! so I made the "stars" with a makeup pencil and then mixed the colors and fastly I painted my face in front of a mirror so fast and in no more than 10 minutes I was ready, while I was watching my vinyl of "Ace Frehley" haha, and surprisely I looked great! but the hurry is the tip
@GOORVY No sarcasm. I am really intrigued at how you paint so fast. What brand of makeup did you use? I (and KISS) use grease paint which is different and you have to set with powder and all of that stuff. Apparently you used something different and that is where the difference is when applying the makeup and why it takes so long - at least for me.
@zunidoll2 okay haha, yes grease paint that I bought at a costume store, but only the white mask, the silver, black and blue paint I don't know of what are made, but KISS is coming to my country haha, so I'm gonna paint my face again as Ace Frehley, I'm gonna upload a video putting on me the makeup for you and everybody can see it (on record time) XD
Stein's is no longer in business. They now use either Ben Nye or Pro-Face brand. Ace's silver is Mehron or Ben Nye silver powder that is mixed with a special liquid. Watch Gene Simmons Family Jewels (season 1) when he is painting his face and it shows he uses Pro-Face brand.
Search the internet or go to a good costume store and buy Ben Nye clown white, clown black and setting powders. You can find the application steps online. Look up clown makeup application.
