Damn, he showed ol' Hippie Hulk Hogan up on that one, & you think Hogan would've seen this, but I doubt that guitar strummin' piece of shit did, LOL, his Slam on Andre at Mania III Sucked Ass. Warrior did it on Andre a year after Hogan & did w/ ease too, if you haven't seen it check it out, it may rival this slam by Hansen, but it's a close call, they both show Hogan how it's done. LMAO
No doubt the fact that it took place at a major pay-per-view is what gives it all its recognition. Similarly, no one talks about Bruno Sammartino's slam of Haystacks Calhoun even though Haystacks weighed significantly more than Andre (which says something!) and Bruno didn't take any steroids either.
@WrestlingFanCritic Andre was much heavier in 1987 at WM 3 compared to 1981 too. Hogan also bodyslammed Andre during this time period as did Harley Race and Ken Patera.

Thanks for posting this! I remember Hulk Hogan slamming Andre, and the WWF trying to sell it as the only time anyone had ever slammed the Giant. In reality, Andre put over a lot of guys by letting them slam him. Long before Hogan, "The Bad Man from Borger, Texas" was one of those guys.
@TheLeroyMoon He also put over Hogan years earlier, in the WWF no less---I was too young at the time, but I'd guarantee that most wrestling fans remember Hogan's heel days, and know that THAT was complete bullshit..
@NWpowerhouse85 I remember Hogan as a heel in both the AWA and MidSouth. Though I've never been a Hogan fan, I actually preferred him as a heel. He wasn't nearly so tacky. Since this clip is about Stan Hansen, you should listen to his interview on the "In Your Head" radio archives online. He confirms that, unlike Hogan, retirement for him is retirement - no coming back. I like the wrestler who can make a clean and final break before they tarnish their prior accomplishments.
Somebody wrote who is Stan Hansen? WTF? Here's a list of accomplishments. AWA World Heavyweigt Champion, a title he was striped of, never lost, WCW US champion, (legitimately) broke Bruno Sammartino's neck, and I haven't even gotten to his Japanese acomplishments.
@RobVanDamkicksass Actually slam Andre when he was over 500 pounds. Plus Andre was hurt in that match n Hogan had to slam him on his own. Now go get the knee pads ready faggot.
Hulk was the first to body slam the Giant when he was in his weight prime. In this fight from 81 the Giant weighed about 400 pounds but in the 87 wrestlemania fight against the Hulk he weighed in excess of 500 I think.
stan hansen nailed that scoop slam better then hulk hogan, why is everybody talking about hogan? stan hansen did that as if andre was any other wrestler? yeesh, i hate wwf/e wrestling fans
@WrestlingFanCritic fuck off. the hollier than thou attitude is hilarious. if it wasnt for WWF/WWE you wouldnt have the forum to spout your bullshit opinions because only homos who live with their moms watch slanty eyed faggot japs and overly stiff cunts like Hansen. Different between Hansen's slam and Hogans? the payday and the fact there isnt 80,000 people cheering it on.
@WrestlingFanCritic Stan Hansen couldnt draw money in the united states so he had to go to a country where their eyes are so slanty they cant see wrestling is real. you know its all fake in japan as well you know?
@WrestlingFanCritic who drew more money? Obviously more people enjoyed Hulk Hogan than Stan Hansen, because the attedance, merchandise buyrates and viewership figures prove it. Its all fake as you say, so at the end of the day, whoever the audience enjoys to watch is the better performer. And Hogan is far better than Hansen in that respect. Hogan is also a safe worker, unlike Hansen, who has a small dick and thinks this fake shit makes you a tough guy if you take advantage of your opponent,
@ianhitman hulk hogan was the only guy who said pro wrestling sucks, the only reason why hulk hogan made more money is because he got fat fans sitting on couches and watching tv all day's attention, stan hansen garnoured respect because he was TALENTED AT WRESTLING. All hulk hogan can do is a damn leg drop and a scoop slam, stan hansen made great matches in Japan, because real wrestling fans are entertained by technical wrestling, not someone who taunts through all of his matches
@WrestlingFanCritic your obviously diluded into thinking that people give a fuck about Stan Hansen and his overly stiff offense. your of the opinion that Hansen was this amazing wrestler. Your opinion is in the minority, because nobody wanted to watch him in the US. In Japan his little cowboy gimmick was a novelty. In America he was a dime a dozen and nobody cared for him.
@ianhitman Fine then, I'll watch great technical wrestling, while you watch John Cena does the same moves over and over again in every match, ROH has good wrestling, Japan has good wrestling, but WWE does not, who cares who makes the most money, its a scam, the only reason why a lot of people watch WWE is because little kids love their hero john cena, stan hansen left WWF because he was too good for wwf, he went on to fight real wrestlers in Japan, not people who suck at wrestling and make money
@WrestlingFanCritic listen: your an 18 year old kid who's insperation is Dave Meltzer. you arent a critic. your just a fan like everyone else. but the hilarious thing is, you cant take this form of entertainment as enjoyment because you motivated by being a critic, which you arent. your basically judging two oiled up men pretending to fight instead of accepting wrestling for what it is. the flaws in your argument are side-splittingly funny.
@ianhitman you actaully have the nerve to go on my account and read up my info and use it against me? typical dumbass wrestling fan, and you believe i actually told youtube my real age
@WrestlingFanCritic What is ironic here with your stupidity is that u act as if u know ur Japanese wrestling talking about Henson n such while saying Hogan only knew a couple of moves but any real wrestling fan who knows his Japanese wrestling would tell u that Hogan was a pretty good technical wrestler who display his skills in Japan but here he was made to become water down by Vince to fit into the wwf standard of wrestling while performing with bodybuilders n big fat guys.
@taekwon3000 fucking retard, hulk hogan was in new japan, theres a fucking difference, and any retard knows that vince is a fucking dumbass so what does that make u?
@taekwon3000 are u fucking retarded, hulk hogan may have been good, but while he was good, the likes of kobashi, misawa, inoki, liger, kawada, hansen, williams, taue, tsruta and muto were fucking epic, i bet u don't even know those names, hogan may be called a legend, but real wrestlers show people why there legends, thats why u retarded fans of wwe and tna are all clueless
@InternationFilmFest U wanna know how idiotic u r? I told u that Hogan was a good wrestler because of how he wrestle in Japan since he train there n yet u think I would not know those guys even though I shouted u out by knowledge of watching Japanese wrestling. Think about it retard. I know plenty about Japanese wrestling.
@taekwon3000 u actually think hulk hogan was a good technical wrestler in japan, u obviously never watched other wrestlers in japan before u fucking troll
@ianhitman what the hell are u talking about, hulk hogan sucks, who cares if he draws money or not, he can't wrestle, john cena makes money, but he sure as hell can't wrestle either, stan hansen is a real wrestler
@SuperHeroMania well if the money drawers all left, there wouldnt be a wrestling business you fucking fool. look at Ring of Honor. Nobody is a star so they draw 800 people and are on a shit channel. You might be to stupid to realise it, but if there wasnt anyone to make people watch wrestling, there wouldnt be any wrestling on TV. So you should star caring about who draws money otherwise there wont be anyone watching.
@SuperHeroMania its all fake bullshit. shawn michaels, bret hart, ric flair all wrestled in main events infront of millions of people. all are better than any wrestler you could dare name me. Maybe its because im not some faggot who watches japanese wrestling from the 70s and thinks its fine art. you should get a fucking life or something. Japanese wrestling has long since died. it doesnt draw anymore.
@ianhitman none of the guys you mention wrestle anymore, ric flair barely wrestles in TNA, and I watched Japan in the 90s, unlike the guys you mentioned, most japan wrestlers from the 90s still wrestle in perfect shape with no history of injuries, and japan can draw crowds of 70, 000, if you don't believe me, watch their triple crown tournaments in NJPW or AJPW
@SuperHeroMania What wrestlers from the 90s still wrestle today in perfect shape? Misawa and Hashimoto are dead. Kobashi can barely walk, Chono can barely walk, Mutoh can barely walk. Kawada can still go. Even the mid to late 90s generation of guys are breaking down. Nagata and Tenzan are starting to fall apart.
@FartScrap kenta kobashi still makes great matches, kawada is in great shape also, nagata seems ok, but i agree, Hiroyoshi Tenzan seems to be losing his momentum :P, i guess it's because of their huge amount of stiffness lol
@taekwon3000 apart from the fact your completely wrong? New Japan hasnt sold out the Tokyo Dome in a decade, All Japan is crumbling with Keiji Muto running it, NOAH draws 2,000 per show, Dragon Gate draws about 500 per show. DREAM might not be doing as well as Pride, but it far outdraws wrestling. Before you start throwing out insults and shit opinions, go and do your research
@SuperHeroMania You obviously never seen Hogan wrestle in Japan you inbred retard. The man knew his moves. In the US he was made to be more simple with the moves so the other bodybuilders n big fat dudes and perform with him and to ft the americanized wwf version of wrestling.
@taekwon3000 u seem to say just japan, u don't even know what wrestling brand he is in, and ur calling me inbred? i'm not american, that means i enjoy good wrestling, hulk hogan took steroids, if u don't believe me, how is he bald then? fucking prick
@SuperHeroMania What wrestling brand? Uhh New Japan was the wrestling org that used to merge with WCW back in the days and n u had All Japan along with UWF which was a more shoot style of wrestling. Henson was all japan. Hogan was New Japan wrestling champ before he became WWF champ by accident when he knock out Inoki with a clothsline to the outside to win a tournament. What do u think u will get by fasley trying my question of knowledge when I was the one who had to correct u? Its pathetic.
Awesome match by two legends.. Side note to the haters and ass wipes. When Hogan slammed Andre he was about 200 pounds heavier then he is here. Not to take anything from these two great wrestlers.
I think Andre actually enjoyed taking bumps in his more athletic days. It's a shame that his skills had eroded by the time wrestling exploded in the mid-1980s. Imagine what Andre could have done then if he was in his prime!!
Leave it to YouTube numbnuts to turn a perfectly awesome video into an opportunity to trash other legends while sucking off their favorites as being so great...All in an industry based on dudes portraying fictional characters...LOL Great slam and match by two legendary pro wrestlers... Japanese fans have a great wrestling legacy to be proud of!
This, unfortunately, is what makes American fans look so pathetic. Japanese fans tend to respect all competitors, but you see that out of very few and far between American fans.
haha he slammed Andre then 6 years later Hogan does it which propels him to superstardom and they stated that was the first time Andre had ever been slammed
no doubt Andre wasn't 525 pounds here though which he supposedly was when Hogan slammed him
wow, Andre is a great legend, He wrestled for the fans and the fact he had back problems, he was slammed 4 times, and in his later years, he was leaning over from his back pain, but he still kept it up for the fans and the wwe.
WOW NO WAY HE DID IT BEFORE HULK HOGAN hogan is the worse name in pro wrestling he never had nothing to do with GREATNESS , hansen is GREATER THAN HOGAN WILL EVER BE
I agree Hogan is definately not 6'7". He's shorter than Nash, and even Scott Hall is tall than Hogan, and Scott Hall is listed as 6'8" actually only 6'5".
i have the article of Andres the giant where the insert says " 1000,th straight victory for Andres the giant". look for it in pro wrestling magazine 1987- 1989
Hogan claimed in his Rolling Stone interview that he has lost 4 inches in height over the years from compacted vertebraes in his back. {Mostly due this doing thousands of leg-drops.} He claims that he was 6'8 when he started, but is now 6'4.
i don't know if anyone said this already but i saw a video where kamala slammed andre.i think about a year before this but i could have been after,i don't know.
after this match, Andre said to Hansen. I never let someone slam me except guys who I estimate highly.
Bruiser brody told that He slammed Andre in Australia 1976around.
and after the slam He dropped his knee on andre from top of the corner, and pinned. But attack from top of the corner is against lures in Australia. So Brody lost.
May be those two stories can be read in only Japanese magazine and stan's auto biography published in Japan.
crazy that they let hogan take all the credit and the fame in 9s when hansen did it 12 yrs before him and was never credited it for it over that glory hound hogan really sad
Stan Hansen was probably pound for pound the toughest SOB the wrestling business has ever had..And he was awesome during interviews as well..And Stan body slammed Andre easier the Hulk Hogan did..
I thought there WERE other wrestlers that bodyslammed Andre The Giant long before the overexposed Wrestlemania 3 where Hulk Hogan did the same thing to the late ring titan himself. Don Leo Jonathan was another. He was the first to pick up Andre and bodyslam him back in 1971. Superb fit of strength on Stan Hanson's park. Even he couldn't believe he scooped Andre off his feet.
@Lurvy1963 the thing that you might not have picked up on is around that period and around the time of this video andre was actually a little fit he wrestled between 320to 400 pounds look at how quick he moves now watch when hogan slamed him and watch this and looked at the diffrence hogan slammed a legit 540-565 pounds where hanson slamed about 400
@iamshalomguy Thanks for the additional information on things I didn't know about some wrestlers. I'm sure Andre was much more fit when he took on Don Leo Jonathan, Stan Hanson, and whoever else stepped in the ring against him. At least Andre had the weight to move around a lot more than the match he had against Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 3. It wouldn't surprise me if it was Andre's weight that killed him in the end. Anything else you know about Andre or Stan Hanson during that time?
@iamshalomguy yes hanson was know for being incredibly stiff even more so that bob holly his punches were all closd fist and they were ment to hurt he dident believe in this all fake punch system not much more about hanson he and andre had many matches andre winning the majority of them , Hansen squared off against Big Van Vader; Hansen repeatedly punched Vader in the face, which caused Vader's eyeball to pop out of its socket, held back only by his eyelid
@Punj4biUK warrior was more like 6'1 and hogan had 3 on him in WM6, and he had 2 on him in wcw 1998 - but warrior had footwear advantage so we are still back to close to 3 inches here... over this 8 years, there isnt any height loss
Hogan Slammed Andre In 1988, At Wrestlemania III, But He Wasn't The First, Stan Hansen & Canek Did Before, Then Kamala & Warrior Did It Too.. And I Don't Remeber So Good, But There's More People Who Slammed Him..
@maritox2311 Wrestlemania III was 1987...Wrestlemania IV in 1988 had the tournament to crown the undisputed WWF Champion which Randy Savage won...This is basic wrestling history.
@Punj4biUK There is no evidence of major height loss when it comes to hogan! 1 inch is tops. If he shrunk 3 inches then everyone around him including mean gene also shrunk 3 inches, so with your logic gene was only 5'5 in 2003?! hogan had the same 9 inches on gene in 1980 as well in 2003. Hogan was TOPS 6'4
Austin is at least 6'3 I met him in at a autograph signing when he stood up to shake some guys hand he was only about 2 inches shorter than me and I'm 6'5
I have no idea how tall Austin, is but I can assure you that Bret Hart is at LEAST 6 feet. I met him once and I had extensive talks with Owen Hart twice. Owen, was a SHADE taller than 5'10. Say 5'10.5 MAYBE 11. Bret was noticably taller. I'd say 6'0 - 6'1.
First of all, people SHRINK as they get older. Our spinal column starts to curve more and it takes inches off of our height. In his prime Hulk Hogan was a legitimate 6'7"- 6'8". However Hulk Hogan is 56 YEARS OLD NOW. Of course is a a few inches shorter.
Andre the Giant was over 7 feet tall. He was probably not 7'4" as billed by the WWF, but he was not 6'10" as people seemed to be obsessed with believing. And Andre had been slammed like 13 times (including twice by Hogan) before WMIII
There is a tube video that shows all the times Andre has been slammed. I suggest taking a look a it. I personally think that the most impressive slammed on Andre was by the Ultimate Warrior (whom slammed Andre twice.) He slammed Andre at his absolute heaviest and did it from a standing position. Andre had him in a bear hug, Warrior broke out and just scoop-slammed him right there. That video is also on tube.
@xpander2k LMAO!! hogan was nothing more than 6'4 in his prime, compare him to such as ppl where we KNOW their height(not other billed wretlers) and hogan in fact struggled with 6'3-6'4. He had 2 inches on 6'2 listed otis wilson, and was same height as 6'4 listed jimbo covert (both men listed with shoes) and this was in the 80's.
I agree about andre he was not 6'10! he was 6'9. 6'10 was his BILLED height in france in late 60's / early 70's.
This is by far the dumbest diatribe I've ever LAUGHED at in my life. Hogan is several inches taller than Steve Austin(which can be seen on the backstage segment of Austin's first meeting with the nWo in 2002). If you look at Austin's mug shot from 2002 the height indicator clearly says 6'3". So by your logic of Hogan only being 6'4 that would make Austin 6 feet tall.
No only that, Hogan is taller than Mick Foley. Foley is billed at 6'4". I've MET Mick Foley in person back in 1998. He was every bit of 6'4". So by your logic of Hogan only being 6'4" that would make Mick Foley 6 feet tall.
Do yourself a favor. Stop embarrassing yourself, get off your parents computer, and go do your homework junior. Adults are talking.
@xpander2k LMAO just wondering which one whos' the kid... you're this obsessed kid and you just proved yourself to be a proven liar, foley is nothing more than 6'2 he is shorter than the rock who is 6'3
@xpander2k Hogan dont have anywhere near 4 inches on austin, and if you know how mugshot works you wouldnt open your big mouth. Austin never had more than 1 inch on the 5'11-6ft bret hitman hart
Stan slamming Andre is awesome but not suprising to me.I always thought Stan was one of the toughest meanest wrestlers ever.Him & Angelo Moska were both tough as nails & built for destruction.
hogan slammed andre on more occasions then anyone else and he slammed andre when andre was at his heaviest 1987 and hogan at 53 yrs old slammed the big show in 2007.
So what. Harley is 6'1'' & weighed around 255 when he slammed Andre. Hogan is 6'8'', weighed around 290 and was juicing heavily. Harley never needed steroids to perform and any "smart" fan knows Hogan isn't in the same league as Harley Race for in-ring ability. Hogan is a better interview and his ring entrance is pretty cool too.
@flairfan101 .. Hogan is no 6'8". Terry is only 6'4" and around 255 tops. We all know how the promoters lie about weight and height. Big Show is taller and bigger than Andre was. Big Show is 7' tall and Andre was only 6' 10" tops. Muscle weighs more than fat and Andre was a fat slob in the end. Bruno Sammartino at 5'9" and 260 pounds slammed Monsoon many times and even slammed 600 pound Haystacks Calhoun. It is all in the motion and flow of both wrestlers.
Stan about collapsed after that body slam, lol. That was cool though. I never even knew about this match until much later. Hogan always took the spotlight for body slamming Andre.

that powerslam goes unnoticed to this day, yet hogan gets all the recognition, 3 reasons why it's stupid

2.the match in wm 3 sucked ass
3. stan hansen never needed steroids

stan hansen nailed that scoop slam better then hulk hogan, why is everybody talking about hogan? stan hansen did that as if andre was any other wrestler? yeesh, i hate wwf/e wrestling fans
WrestlingFanCritic 1 year ago
@WrestlingFanCritic fuck off. the hollier than thou attitude is hilarious. if it wasnt for WWF/WWE you wouldnt have the forum to spout your bullshit opinions because only homos who live with their moms watch slanty eyed faggot japs and overly stiff cunts like Hansen. Different between Hansen's slam and Hogans? the payday and the fact there isnt 80,000 people cheering it on.
ianhitman 1 year ago
@ianhitman lol, what a smark, i don't give a shit, all hulk hogan can do is taunt, stan hansen actually wrestles
WrestlingFanCritic 1 year ago
@WrestlingFanCritic Stan Hansen couldnt draw money in the united states so he had to go to a country where their eyes are so slanty they cant see wrestling is real. you know its all fake in japan as well you know?
ianhitman 1 year ago
@ianhitman obviously wrestling is fake everwhere, stan hansen just happens to be much better then hulk hogan who couldn't do 1 great match
WrestlingFanCritic 1 year ago
@WrestlingFanCritic who drew more money? Obviously more people enjoyed Hulk Hogan than Stan Hansen, because the attedance, merchandise buyrates and viewership figures prove it. Its all fake as you say, so at the end of the day, whoever the audience enjoys to watch is the better performer. And Hogan is far better than Hansen in that respect. Hogan is also a safe worker, unlike Hansen, who has a small dick and thinks this fake shit makes you a tough guy if you take advantage of your opponent,
ianhitman 1 year ago
@ianhitman hulk hogan was the only guy who said pro wrestling sucks, the only reason why hulk hogan made more money is because he got fat fans sitting on couches and watching tv all day's attention, stan hansen garnoured respect because he was TALENTED AT WRESTLING. All hulk hogan can do is a damn leg drop and a scoop slam, stan hansen made great matches in Japan, because real wrestling fans are entertained by technical wrestling, not someone who taunts through all of his matches
WrestlingFanCritic 1 year ago
@WrestlingFanCritic your obviously diluded into thinking that people give a fuck about Stan Hansen and his overly stiff offense. your of the opinion that Hansen was this amazing wrestler. Your opinion is in the minority, because nobody wanted to watch him in the US. In Japan his little cowboy gimmick was a novelty. In America he was a dime a dozen and nobody cared for him.
ianhitman 1 year ago
@ianhitman Fine then, I'll watch great technical wrestling, while you watch John Cena does the same moves over and over again in every match, ROH has good wrestling, Japan has good wrestling, but WWE does not, who cares who makes the most money, its a scam, the only reason why a lot of people watch WWE is because little kids love their hero john cena, stan hansen left WWF because he was too good for wwf, he went on to fight real wrestlers in Japan, not people who suck at wrestling and make money
WrestlingFanCritic 1 year ago
@WrestlingFanCritic listen: your an 18 year old kid who's insperation is Dave Meltzer. you arent a critic. your just a fan like everyone else. but the hilarious thing is, you cant take this form of entertainment as enjoyment because you motivated by being a critic, which you arent. your basically judging two oiled up men pretending to fight instead of accepting wrestling for what it is. the flaws in your argument are side-splittingly funny.

So you should star caring about who draws money otherwise there wont be anyone watching.
ianhitman 1 year ago
@ianhitman i feel sorry for you, WWE brainwashed you to enjoying bad wrestling :(
SuperHeroMania 1 year ago
@SuperHeroMania its all fake bullshit. shawn michaels, bret hart, ric flair all wrestled in main events infront of millions of people. all are better than any wrestler you could dare name me. Maybe its because im not some faggot who watches japanese wrestling from the 70s and thinks its fine art. you should get a fucking life or something. Japanese wrestling has long since died. it doesnt draw anymore.
ianhitman 1 year ago
@ianhitman none of the guys you mention wrestle anymore, ric flair barely wrestles in TNA, and I watched Japan in the 90s, unlike the guys you mentioned, most japan wrestlers from the 90s still wrestle in perfect shape with no history of injuries, and japan can draw crowds of 70, 000, if you don't believe me, watch their triple crown tournaments in NJPW or AJPW
SuperHeroMania 1 year ago
@SuperHeroMania What wrestlers from the 90s still wrestle today in perfect shape? Misawa and Hashimoto are dead. Kobashi can barely walk, Chono can barely walk, Mutoh can barely walk. Kawada can still go. Even the mid to late 90s generation of guys are breaking down. Nagata and Tenzan are starting to fall apart.
FartScrap 1 year ago
@FartScrap kenta kobashi still makes great matches, kawada is in great shape also, nagata seems ok, but i agree, Hiroyoshi Tenzan seems to be losing his momentum :P, i guess it's because of their huge amount of stiffness lol

@SuperHeroMania Kobashi hasn't wrestled in any matches but 6 man tags and tag matches where he only wrestles very briefly since he returned.

taekwon3000 1 year ago
@taekwon3000 apart from the fact your completely wrong? New Japan hasnt sold out the Tokyo Dome in a decade, All Japan is crumbling with Keiji Muto running it, NOAH draws 2,000 per show, Dragon Gate draws about 500 per show. DREAM might not be doing as well as Pride, but it far outdraws wrestling. Before you start throwing out insults and shit opinions, go and do your research
ianhitman 1 year ago
@SuperHeroMania You obviously never seen Hogan wrestle in Japan you inbred retard. The man knew his moves. In the US he was made to be more simple with the moves so the other bodybuilders n big fat dudes and perform with him and to ft the americanized wwf version of wrestling.

Hogan claimed in his Rolling Stone interview that he has lost 4 inches in height over the years from compacted vertebraes in his back. {Mostly due this doing thousands of leg-drops.} He claims that he was 6'8 when he started, but is now 6'4.

there are two other stories about slam.
after this match, Andre said to Hansen.

Lurvy1963 1 year ago
@Lurvy1963 the thing that you might not have picked up on is around that period and around the time of this video andre was actually a little fit he wrestled between 320to 400 pounds look at how quick he moves now watch when hogan slamed him and watch this and looked at the diffrence hogan slammed a legit 540-565 pounds where hanson slamed about 400
iamshalomguy 1 year ago
@iamshalomguy Thanks for the additional information on things I didn't know about some wrestlers. I'm sure Andre was much more fit when he took on Don Leo Jonathan, Stan Hanson, and whoever else stepped in the ring against him. At least Andre had the weight to move around a lot more than the match he had against Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 3. It wouldn't surprise me if it was Andre's weight that killed him in the end. Anything else you know about Andre or Stan Hanson during that time?
Lurvy1963 1 year ago

King0fHarts 1 year ago
@iamshalomguy yes hanson was know for being incredibly stiff even more so that bob holly his punches were all closd fist and they were ment to hurt he dident believe in this all fake punch system not much more about hanson he and andre had many matches andre winning the majority of them , Hansen squared off against Big Van Vader; Hansen repeatedly punched Vader in the face, which caused Vader's eyeball to pop out of its socket, held back only by his eyelid

@Punj4biUK There is no evidence of major height loss when it comes to hogan! 1 inch is tops.
And Andre had been slammed like 13 times (including twice by Hogan) before WMIII
xpander2k 1 year ago
There is a tube video that shows all the times Andre has been slammed. I suggest taking a look a it. I personally think that the most impressive slammed on Andre was by the Ultimate Warrior (whom slammed Andre twice.) He slammed Andre at his absolute heaviest and did it from a standing position. Andre had him in a bear hug, Warrior broke out and just scoop-slammed him right there. That video is also on tube.
xpander2k 1 year ago
@xpander2k LMAO!! hogan was nothing more than 6'4 in his prime, compare him to such as ppl where we KNOW their height(not other billed wretlers) and hogan in fact struggled with 6'3-6'4. He had 2 inches on 6'2 listed otis wilson, and was same height as 6'4 listed jimbo covert (both men listed with shoes) and this was in the 80's.
I agree about andre he was not 6'10! he was 6'9. 6'10 was his BILLED height in france in late 60's / early 70's.
xismxist 1 year ago
This is by far the dumbest diatribe I've ever LAUGHED at in my life. Hogan is several inches taller than Steve Austin(which can be seen on the backstage segment of Austin's first meeting with the nWo in 2002). If you look at Austin's mug shot from 2002 the height indicator clearly says 6'3". So by your logic of Hogan only being 6'4 that would make Austin 6 feet tall.
xpander2k 1 year ago
No only that, Hogan is taller than Mick Foley. Foley is billed at 6'4". I've MET Mick Foley in person back in 1998. He was every bit of 6'4". So by your logic of Hogan only being 6'4" that would make Mick Foley 6 feet tall.
Do yourself a favor. Stop embarrassing yourself, get off your parents computer, and go do your homework junior. Adults are talking.

Hogan is a better interview and his ring entrance is pretty cool too.
flairfan101 2 years ago
@flairfan101 .. Hogan is no 6'8". Terry is only 6'4" and around 255 tops. We all know how the promoters lie about weight and height. Big Show is taller and bigger than Andre was. Big Show is 7' tall and Andre was only 6' 10" tops. Muscle weighs more than fat and Andre was a fat slob in the end. Bruno Sammartino at 5'9" and 260 pounds slammed Monsoon many times and even slammed 600 pound Haystacks Calhoun. It is all in the motion and flow of both wrestlers.
