@onlyelisha There are no "Death growls" in Screamo, and Metalcore isn't usually associated with Death growls. And no those two genres aren't the same, Screamo isn't what you think it is, don't listen to the scene kids.
oh good. After knowing and loving some of Tourniquet's other stuff, I would have a hard time believing that they did much stuff that sounded like this. I have found a little bit of rap that I liked, but I'm not a big fan of it. And Tourniquet and rap definitly do NOT go together. this song proves it.
I just listening to the beginning of this again and it actually sounds very cool up until 0:22 when you get that DJ thing (I don't know what you call it) which clashes horribly with the style of the guitars.
Not all rap is bad. Sometimes I may listen to it if im in the mood. Metal is so much better though.

Say what what you will, but rapping is way better than crappy metalcore/screamo death growls.

They didn't; this was a collaboration with now-defunct group P.I.D. (Preachers in Disguise), not to be confused with P.O.D.
I've been told the rap verses were improvised, which might account for their disappointingness.

Only one song, and they're doing pretty well :)
Better than the casual rap junk...

Hmm, haven't heard many songs from Tourniquet but I think this is pretty cool. Much better than the mainstream rap today... *nodnod*

Yikes, Tourniquet doing rap?? I wanted to get all their albums, but if much of the CD is like this I'll pass on this one..
I love some of their other stuff.
will2asher 3 years ago
This is the only rap on that particular album. Thankfully.
