  • I always thought the acting in this scene was awful. Still an awesome movie

  • 1:06-1:18 he sounds more like a house cat than a lion lol :) this is such a good movie, watched it often as a kid

  • The Lion sounds like he came straight out of Brooklyn! And the Tin Man, Boston.

  • @afriendofbean, it's actually some kind of bird in the background picking at the ground. It's been debunked in that show. If you YouTube the video type in "wizard of oz hanging debunk" it'll show you the video of it being debunked. I always thought it was someone hanging until I seen the video and then I felt like a moron lol

  • From 2:17-2:18, what did the Lion call Toto? It sounds like he called him Pee Wee but, I'm not sure what he called Toto. (I did refer Toto has a "him" but, in real life, I heard that Toto is a "her.")

  • Someone mentioned to me that in this scene as Dorothy, the Tin Man, and the Scarecrow are walking in the forest, one of the people who is working on this movie (director, producer, etc.) is in the background somewhere hanging himself where it showed him falling down and climbing back up to hang himself. Does anyone know where he is located in the background hanging himself?

  • .....And they also do NOT snort like that!

  • Wait just a darn flipping second! Lions do NOT make that noise especially when he jumps onto the road! That is sick and wrong! But, funny, but wrong!

  • sie war einfach viel zu alt für diesen film....aber mgm hatte einfach keine andere Wahl.....

  • I noticed Judy's smile after the lion said " Is my nose bleeding?":D

  • @DominicCAlfonso

Keen eye! According to IMDB, Judy Garland got the giggles from Bert Lahr in this scene so much they had to stop filming and take a break. When filming resumed though you can still see her trying to hide her mirth after she smacks him. An additional bit of trivia... Bert Lahr got his inspiration for his part as the Lion from Curly Howard of the Three Stooges.

  • "PUT EM UP! PUT EM UP!!"

  • Bert Larh's tail has a mind of its own!

  • I havent seen this version before! I have just watched Phineas And Ferb's Version!

just doing a little oz research for an album I'm makin.

  • @lostdarkwolf09 I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt and cousin. That's bad.

  • I love the way Dorothy considers herself an anti-hero. She also accepts her friends' quirks (A tin man, scarecrow and lion with Brooklyn accents). I also love her wisdom as she confronts the Cowardly Lion by saying if he has to pick on someone as defenseless as her dog, he's a coward.

  • @mozvideos1957 Shes trippin!
