  • Right on....train the owner, then the dog!

  • I hope I can teach my Irish Setter some tricks. My lab that passed away knew a few.

  • and just 17 weeks :D:D

she/hes just like my setter when she was young..

but know shes 21 years old <3

  • your setter is gorgeous :)

my dog could do sit- paw- lie down- roll over (though it was more roll on your side) though after a while he got lazy and just did it straight after eachother without being told because he just wanted the treat :P i miss him♥ 25/03/10- 15years young♥

  • I love irish setters! they are so soft and active!

  • Very good job on training a 17 week setter ... that's very good for his age

  • Very nice.

  • very good,i have a 3 year old male and he's crazy,he's a very crabit dog,he plays deaf a lot when he's off the lead,so glad i got him though

  • im looking into the irish setter breed and was wondering how much exersize they require, also what age did you start training yours? thanks so much:DD

  • @SpotSwims They can be the smartest best dog if they get to go out with 4 sets of horses or about 10 miles a day. Otherwise they are miserable

  • wow you must really have a feeling for this, awesome training.

i hope i can get my dog to behave halfway as good as this lol...

  • very very nice video...5 stars..

  • so clever and beautiful (both of them)

  • Wow, clever pup! My setter is one now, he is so funny and brings such joy to me, they are such lovely dogs aren't they? The problem is that Sam is not motivated by food at all, so teaching him can be tricky sometimes, but still we do try! sweet little terrier as well. wishing you lots of happy times together

  • I love Irish Setters. The best dog I ever owned was an I.S. I still miss him and he's been gone 22 years. He was the smartest guy ever!

  • @Martie357 No mine was. He flew in the Cessna with us. Hes been gone 30 years.

I swear he was as smart as a 5 year old kid.

  • Congratulations!!!! You really made a good work with such a young IS puppy!!!

  • What a clever pretty dogs they are. I really appreciate your uploading . Your dear irishsetter seems to be 7 or 8 months old.Our dog is a 9 year old irishsetter. Living in Tokyo our vicinity has many places to go for a walk . This 9 year days with dog supported us when we were both in joys and sorrows. I am sorry I write only about an irishsetter.Your white color terrier is also cute and bright. I hope you and your dogs are happy and in good health. Thank you very much.

  • Your dogs are great! They are wroking beautifully for you and your signals are very clear and GREAT!!! Keep up the good work!

  • Your so right. some people think dogs do things out of love. Its all about whats in it for me. I am sorry you feel you have entered a competition with me. I train my dogs to keep them happy and to spend time with them not to compete. but thanks for taking the time to watch my clip. You sound Bitterly experienced just like the sister inlaw. KInd Regards Gravy

  • Uauuuuuuu...fantastico!!! ^__^ five stars

  • Wow that is amazing. I should work harder with my setter. He loves to perform the five tricks he does do but I never tried some of these. I loved it. Great job!

  • It seems only yesterday when Kerry had the litter.. Quite incredible images..

  • What smart dogs you've trained at such an early age to achieve so many commands. Can't wait to see more "tricks"

Did you start off with clicker training to get to this point? Very delightful to watch.

  • WOW! My Irish Setter Tara is very silly, she can't do paw shaking, she just whacks people with her legs, she is very silly, once when she saw a jar of paint, she couldn't resist but get covered in white and purple paint. Love the video

  • Tara the artist. Thats funny. Finnella can be dopey, she sat in her water bowl last week. its taken some time for her to understand what we wanted from her.I love the breed. My terrier is real smarts which passes the setter family by miles. xx Natalie

  • @gravy178 from what I gather from my terrier mix and my irish setter, the terrier is a people pleaser and my setter is a self pleaser. My terrier will listen to me but my setter is clever and will misbehave when I am not looking. But, Both are wonderful dogs!

  • Wow! That's fantastic. Especially for the irish setter since they are so stubborn. Wonderful!
