Brilliant lyrics! "Well if we all stand up in the name of love / And state the case of what we're dreaming of / I got to say I only dream of you / But like a thief in the night / You took away the love that I knew / Relight my fire / Your love is my only desire
OMG!! The memories that this track brought back!! Remember when you could be on the Dance Floor for a few hours, without taking a break?? Those were the days, back when where we were not sitting in front of an "X-Box" with the only exercise being our thumbs, and less than half a brain, like today's youth!!...Truly missed those days!! Thanks agian for those memories!! Happy Tappin' to the max!!
Hi DanceDizzy, do you know another songs like this (or instat replay) from Dan Hartman? is kinda hard to get and some of his songs haven't this dancing style, Thanks
One of the most beautiful songs ever, and as I am just a female DJ, its one of the songs I played every week, and the real dancers hit the floor and still do!!! Dan Hartman your music brings back emotions and love
What a beautiful video to go along with the song :-) Hate to think of it as the party is over, though - there are plenty of parties nowadays in NYC these days where the gays are keeping the 70s party spirit alive!
I wish so many of you could have been at Studio One in L.A. back in the day FABULOUS!! Beautiful people, beautiful times, this song was an anthem along with of course, Gloria.Fabulous memories that will never die.
You can't imagine what it was like to be at the Saint on 2nd Avenue and hear this song start to play at 4am. Sadly, as Richard Gere says in And the Band Played On, "the party's over."
orchestral, production, and melodic masterpiece representing the cultural and intellectual apex of this civilization: the 1970s; note the grand Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra, with Don Renaldo, concertmaster, conducted by the incomparable Norman Harris
Dan Hartman was my favorite white male disco star.I can remember dancing to this song and loving it, but fearing I would drop from exhaustion because it was so hard driving and lasted so long. Dan wrote and released one of the first New Age alblums in 1985 called New Green and Blue. I found it in bargain bin years ago. It is one of my favorites of the genre. It doesn't usually appear on his discographies. It may be out of print.
awesome video!!!outstanding job!! love it!!! best song ever!!!takes me back to the care free good ol days of getiing down and discoing in to the wee hours...platform shoes,my feathered hair, pookah beads, hukapoo shirts....

I have not heard the 'vertiago' aka extended version(instrumental)intro to this classic in ions.
I do hear the 'regular length'(3-plus minutes)of this on occasion on radio either on disco shows or oldies radio stations.
Also nice touch of showing clips of dance clubs like the legendary studio 54 for ppl. like myself too young to attend.
One of my favorites while in early grade school. Thanks for posting this DJbrain.
