@marycockburn1 The sitar was tuned to D.. we used it for Across The Universe a little later too and didn't want to mess around tuning it in a short space of time, so we decided to drop the key of Norwegian Wood instead of raising Across The Universe to E.
@marycockburn1 ive just won a john lennon acoustic but its just the vintage version. not the epiphone or the real gibson. im looking forward in hearing it cheers
@4our5ive6ix Hi. I really liked your cover of this song, but why do you imitate The Beatles when you can make your own group with your style and then make covers of some songs. No one remembers Bruce Li and Bruce Ly, but everybody does remember Bruce Lee. If you want people to remember you then you should make your own style.
@justsmilehomie Why? Because it's a job! I get payed to play some of the best popular music ever written. I'd be a fool not to! I have other bands and original things going on too but I try not to take it so seriously. That's more a hobby, a creative outlet. I'm not really bothered about being remembered lol. I'm fine just living a happy life playing great music and enjoying myself, and providing some light entertainment :) Peace x
@loverocknroll17800 making a living playing some of the best music ever written does not seem all that idiotic to me. Leaving lame, faceless YouTube comments however, does.
@loverocknroll17800 The way I see it, I get to travel the world and meet amazing people from all different cultures and walks of life. It's humbling to see an old man weep as you perform She's Leaving Home, or a little girl playing air guitar along to Revolution. We each do our own individual stuff in our own time to get creative, we'd go mad otherwise! It's just a job to pay the bills like any other. We please lots of people, but you cant please everyone hey! Still, beats working in an office
My band Chandrama just posted a video on our channel, a cover of George's "It's All Too Much" with sitars and things on it, and sung in Nepali. The Beatle's organization was super easy to deal with on the licensing approval. We hope George would have approved. You can see it on our channel, and please do.
impressive! i've not seen a beatles tribute pull this off sitar n all, hats off! watched a few of your videos on here, will have to try and catch you sometime. shame about the mccartney guy tho, weak link!
wow....I liked this very much. thank you. :D

@4our5ive6ix I hear the sitar is hard to play, because you use the western notation? Is that true?

@loverocknroll17800 Take your cynicism to a video about politics or religion or something and leave the rest of us to enjoy the music

am i the only one who noticed the right handed sitar behind the sitar?!?!?
megakiller999 1 year ago
@megakiller999 it's a right handed spare hoffner bass which the lennon uses when the macca is on piano
4our5ive6ix 1 year ago
@megakiller999 looked more like paul's bass to me

@2249Ace a sitar pick is called a mizraab :) just helps with that twang!

this is a great cover of this tune, the sitar isn't an easy instrument to play, but this guy makes it seem effortless.
