okay...if i buy the ion rb2 drum kit,w/o the symbals,will it work on gh:metallica?and if i later add symbals to the kit,will i have a 5note highway then?sum1 help me asap cause i wanna order these thing soon!!thanks guys:)

@maiabh they do work, but only 4 lanes will show, you need a GHWT J5 drum brain for the ION kit, which enables the 5 lane chart

man its a long road to teaching yourself drums i have been on it for a while but starting to make great improvements.. if i could pass along advice, the three hardest things imo to learn, are drum rolls, rudiments(such as paradiddles), and bass technique.. you can easily transition what you learn in gh or rb into real drums you just have to remember the key word PRACTICE.. lots and lots and dont stop.. with your rolls practice more with your wrist, the only way to get accurate and faster.. TO LEARN - that is the idea here is to learn. And I will pe posting a video soon that shows I have learned the double bass pedal A LITTLE BIT. I can do a two stroke roll and nail a few fast passages. I have it to LEARN - the option is there to always use it if I want to. I AM NOT A DRUMMER - I have no coordination for double bass when I first got it.. I am getting there now. LEARNING, little by little.

How do you make one of your cymbals work as an orange?

I have a custom device for playing GH games on my Ion set that gives me all 5 lanes. It is called a GHWT J5 - check my video out that explains it.

very nice bro, i like it, nice angle nice drums, i play drums for 2 days now i play hard on guitar hero 5 and metallica and world tour n sheet, i drummed in real so i got an advantage, i see the same in u :P bet u drum / drummed too. Well nice one,imma try to go expert too when i am a lil more 'Advanced' i play guitar on expert on every guitar hero so thats np. ill check some more of ur vids ;)

How come you can use your cymbols and i cant?

They work fine as a single note but lests say when i hit yellow and red together a message comes up on screen saying

Your controller is disconnected?

YOu might have an ION set - but they don't work with GHWT correctly - I have custom box's and such. Watch my evolution and stand alone explanation videos to see why.

even if your still learning to play the drums while play gh:m and whatnot to make the experience that much more true you should see if you have a lag issue playing cause by the way it looks you can hit more than its letting you, so next time check the lag settings in game cause you have a plasma tv and they have some bad lag, i have a setting of 20video 12audio, bullcrap but i boosted my score 20% better

I have no Lag.

It's the video your watching that has lag.  THe HD camera with it's onboard mic creates Lag in the video - one on one it's perfectly synced.

dnt know if u guys have the same trouble on 360 cus im on ps3 but.. i cant play my standard ion drums for gh: metallica.. it gives me 5 lanes instead of 4 like on gh:wt and everything i hit adds an orange...

(e.g. if i hit blue, it hits blue and orange, if i hit pedal, it hits pedal and orange)

did u have this trouble.. anyway i can set it to 4 lanes like gh:wt or somehow fix it?

You have to log into xbox live with the game.. there is a patch. The original GHWT did the same thing. Without the patch you will get BLUE and ORANGE - in order to use the orange correctly with your ION you have to buy a custom made J5 - message me for details.

dont worry, sorted it now.. there was no patch, i just had to take out the jacks for the cymbols, it was interfiering, i hardly use the cymbols anyway :P

I do use it here and there - But I am not a drummer so I am still earing how to use it - I am not coodenated enough to use it on double bassparts yet - so for the videos I use one foot for now. There are a few double bass rolls I use both for but only if there quick and few and far between in the song.

IT's not that simple.

But yes... it does work but there is alot of custom circuity involved.

I am using an Xbox 360.

I am also using a Custom drum brain that I bought for guitar hero and the drum rocker.. as the ION only works with 4 lanes not the full 5 you see in my videos.
