  • @simon39825-Mr McSherry is indeed wicked on a full set. You sound like a disgruntled piper with a bit of a chip on the old shouder!!

  • great playin from theese two but isn't uilleann pipes all about all of the instrument being played meening REGULATORS , all u have to do is listen to likes of johnny n falix doran, john rooney n defanatley son larry, plus simon doyle, mikey doran grandson of falix, and of course paddy keenan i mean theese guys are all over the pipes ?

  • @simon39825 McSherry is wicked playing the full set of pipes. I can only surmise that the enormous amount of heat on stage (coupled with the fact that two sets of regs going at the same time could sound very disharmonious unless both players were playing exactly the same thing) would present too many problems for that amount of reeds being played at once. McSherry is right up there with Doran, Ennis et al....some would even say he's way ahead of them.

  • @JunkFood33 u say that McSherry is wicked playing a full set of pipes,Have u ever seen him play regs live n be all over them with plenty of chords all the way in a few tunes, because i havn't and i have all cd's and seen him live playin i've heard him playin a few chords in slow airs but that's it, and please don't fool urself on ur coment on him bein up there beside them no way in hel, and who ever says he's well ahead of dorans n Paddy Keenan, they musn't no about pipesKeenan simply the best.

  • can anyone indulge me on the names of these tunes, it's been forever since I've been out playin trad music

  • These guys went to the crossroads to get this good. Wow

  • no one "stole" McSherry's pipes....... it's just they couldn't swim!

  • Truly an amazing bit of playing from these two experts.

I recently bought a practice set and can hardly believe that the lads can play so perfectly and clearly!

    SUBLIME !!!

  • @AlPood It's just years of practice bro :P

  • McSherry is awesome anyway you look at it. A gift to us all.

  • Is the other guy on a practice set? He's good tho'

  • I believe John McSherry's set of pipes were stolen. That's quite an investment to lose. I'm not sure if they turned up, but he rocks it on practice sets anyways.

  • That's correct, sick as it is. John posted about this on the Chiff and Fipple; makes you just want to weep. Some mindless troll took them along with some very nice whistles. Hope the thief is caught and John can get his set back soon.

  • Fabulous!

  • as irish as these are.... I still love the sound

  • Rockin!

  • crazzzzzzy!

  • Francis You are the biz mate!!! Hope to see you soon x

  • Those two sound so amazing together!

  • EXCELLENT!!! Hahahahaha this is so wonderful! Thanks a ton for uploading this!

  • "Drops of Brandy" is the tune name - there's a nice version of this on the 1st paddy keenan cd...worth a listen (or two!)

  • The correct name of the 2nd piper is Francis Mc Ilduff..

  • You're right...
