It's so nice to see Marlena in the Days of her life before John came along and she got WAY too obsessed with him(okay he was her husband but still) it's nice to see she had other people in her life, nice to see her in a thrilling romance with captain Brady, it's nce that she actually HAD a life back then...plus there was still danger at every corner in her life. And Stefano STILL has yet to be seen and make a severe impact on it!

@imachildofthe80s8089 They seriously got rid of all her friends by 2000 or so. She was down to Maggie & Julie, when they were on the damn show. Somewhere in the 90's they changed the dynamic to just surround her with her husband and kids. Sad to see really. She was a great character to have as a friend.

i remember wondering how they could kill her when her and roman were so popular! my mom like cried when this happened...i was just sitting there with my mouth opened. i think i was more surprised and disbelieving than sad...
