  • i think he's doing a pitch of around 2%; great video mate! i love the A343, flown on 3 times with BWIA and AC, its awesome!

  • @andymclaughlin251 - thank you for the comments - appreciated - indeed, A343 is very beautiful shape airplane and i like it.

  • Hi Ryoji,

How's it going? How many million air miles do you have now? Here's an idea I had a few years ago that you might be able to put together w Fuji Film. It's to mount an IMAX camera on a plane that then flies around the world in like a 2 hour show. I to love the window seat to watch the Planet Earth pass by below. Only one problem now, so much pollution!!!

    Frans in Omaha

  • @omni321 - Hi Frans - thanks and I am doing all right - I do not fly that much but few hundred thousands miles - your idea is brilliant - it should be a great film to take. meantime, you will not see those pollution except some of Chinese areas.

  • Beautiful video -- crystal clear day and great for gazing out the window. Thanks for posting.

  • @thumbun - thanks for the comment - indeed it was such a great day and lucky to have this view.

  • A340 is a really slow climber. Compared to the A330, it's really damn slow. But it's a beutiful airplane, especially in scandinavian colors! Greetings from sweden!

  • @fraalle - thanks - indeed, A340 is one of the most beautiful airplane and agree SAS color comes perfect combination.

  • @SuperDanepak : Often, that sound is just before the cabin crew is gonna say something, but just 3 seconds after takeoff i don't have a clue why it rings like that!

  • @freestyle100100 OK, fair enough

  • @freestyle100100 OK, I found out. A friend of mines brother is a pilot at SAS and he explained the following: Not all airlines does this. Some does and SAS is one of them. Basically, when the handle for the landing gear is pushed down for landing, this sound is a notice to the cabin personnel. And it automatically says the same sound, when they take off and the handle is pulled up (although it doesn't really serve a purpose on take off)

  • What does the sound at 00.58 indicate? I hear that often, just after take off.

  • @SuperDanepak - thank you - i did not notice it - beep? - can not tell what it was.

  • @SuperDanepak I think it's when the gear starts going up. But I'm not 100% sure!

  • @SuperDanepak That sign means that the gear is up

  • @SuperDanepak confirms that gear is up :)

  • @SuperDanepak the landing gear going up

  • That was a heavy takeoff!

  • @williamwilbur - thank you - it was clear day which means windy - then it could be a heavy one if you mean that way.

  • @ryojitokyo3636 Think he ment that the plane was VERY heavy, because of the low acceleration, and long takeoff roll... and also the very low rate of climb out of Kastrup :D

  • @ollo1982 - oh, i see, thanks for translation. yes, i agree, aircraft must be fully laden due to long haul trip and almost full passengers.

  • @ryojitokyo3636 Yea.. i agree... and it is such a beautiful plane! You are lucky that have been on it :D Was the service onboard good?

  • @ollo1982 - thank you for a comments - indeed it is a beautiful plane - SAS services and foods are good despite of older design seats.

  • @ryojitokyo3636 Oh yea.. their A340-300's sadly aint the newest planes anymore... for SAS i think they would gain alot if they had redone their cabins to something more popular and fashionable :D

  • @ollo1982 - indeed, they must do something on an aircraft but otherwise nice airline

  • wow, very sharp pictures, thumbs up!!

  • @Anjunar87 - thank you !

  • wow, look at that wing flex.....

  • @rctlover1 - yes, amazing to see how wing flex

  • @JayRexS Do you know why the other companies are better? Beacause You most pay more :)

  • Amazingly filmed! So steady camera!

  • @323tiim - thank you - i push a camera to the window

  • @ryojitokyo3636 Yeah, many people do, but most of them cant help a little shaking...

  • @323tiim - thanks - i blue silicon rubber on the face and corners -:))

  • @323tiim - I just upload another video which shows how silicon rubbers are glued on my digital camera's face and corners. this works perfectly when you push camera to the windows. hope it can tell you how it looks like.

  • @ryojitokyo3636 I just watched to, its brilliant! And i had no idea such a little camera could provide such a good picture and sound! How much did it cost you?

  • @323tiim - thanks yours - although i paid $400 when i bought it in Feb 2010 - latest price in a market will be below $200 - this digital camera's movie function and ability is quite high as you saw - latest model of same categoly in Sony is DSC-TX100V and DSC-TX55 but i did not find any significant differences or improvement.

  • @ryojitokyo3636 Cool! How does it zoom? Is it good?

  • @323tiim - yes, it is good enough for me

  • @ryojitokyo3636 Okay

  • @Foxx1981 Nei har alltid likt dem ;)

  • I love SAS :) That `s the best airline company in the whole world :) Do i think :)

  • @codlover21 - i like SAS as well - they are good

  • @codlover21 att du är från Skandinavien är då självklart bara en tillfällighet ;)

Inget slår riktiga flygbolag som Emirates, Qatar, Qantas och Air France. SAS är bra men inte ens nära bäst

  • @codlover21 You really should fly with other airlines too, before you can name such an airline the best in the world. LOL.

  • Really well filmed, well done. Very smooth and a good roll and climb out. Flew in an a340 from Paris to Toronto couple years ago. Beautiful flight.

  • @kevfreeflight - thank you ! actually, it was very good and smooth flight - as usual SAS

  • Where did you flew 2?

  • @danishown2 - thank you - aircraft was on her way to NRT narita tokyo international airport japan.

  • did he fly low all the way

  • @gjeni7 - thanks - altitude looks low but already 8000m high at that time - eventually aircraft went up to over 10,000 high - it does not look like since there were no cloud to compare the altitude.

  • i remember the first time i flew an A340.. i was like "omg the wing is going to brake!!" ;D never been in a 4 engire aircraft before hehe

  • @87earth - indeed, 4 engines aircraft gives you a different humming - i like it

  • Ok thank you I flying air tahiti nui in 2 weeks just was concern of noise

  • @Platiumclass - you are welcome - have a nice flight

  • What was that humming noise?

  • @Platiumclass - tks yours - i guess it was noise from engines - it is quite normal

  • to Beijing?

  • @lufthansage - thank you - it was flight to tokyo

  • WOOW WOOW so natrual land and engineair :P GREAT GREAT !! love this ! good job !!

  • @01110ful - thank you - appreciated for a comments - it was great flight

  • Was this to Newark?? because they mostly use their A330's to USA and A340 to Asia. Saw a SAS A340 200m over my school in Malmö. Slow climbing is usual for this beauties a guess :P

  • @Deltapilot96 - thanks - it was a flight from CPH to Narita Tokyo - yes, i guess this is quite normal for A340's

  • @ryojitokyo3636 Newark is is New York

  • @Deltapilot96 - thanks - well noted

  • @ryojitokyo3636 Oops, what the hell were i talking about there? lol :s

  • @Deltapilot96 - never mind !

  • I think you we're in the business class ? 'Cause i had same view from my flight SK903 to NWK

  • @Wanttojfk - thanks - yes, i was. did you fly from or to Stockholm? beautiful city

  • @ryojitokyo3636 To Newark, 4.1.2011. Really nice plane and the cabin crew was awesome ! I truly love SAS !

  • @ryojitokyo3636 From Stockholm - Newark 4.1.2011, love the A340, and the businessclass was truly awesome.

  • Slow climbing :P Looks like you are on cruising altitude at 2:32 :P Nice filming!

  • @Deltapilot96 - thank you - it was smooth and nice climbing - it looks not high enough since there were no clouds at all - but you are right - thanks again

  • Beautyfull day for a flight... good filming.

  • @MikeyOhan2010 - thank you ! it was a great view and clear sky indeed

  • Great video! Love this airplane.

  • @Badrik81 - thank you for yours - i love this plane as well.

  • Nice video. That must be the bridge that goes to Sweden under construction.

  • @popeye1250 - tks yours - i did not know that was the one which my danish colleagues are talking about. i understood they are building one to germany too but other side of copenhagen. it is nice area - i like the view.

  • @popeye1250

Yes, it is the Øresund Bridge to Sweden, but it is not under construction, it was opened in 2000. It looks like it is under construction because there is a thunnel under the sea.

  • @flysobo737 - thanks for your information - appreciated.

i like to go through this tunnel someday//

  • Awesome video, beautiful!! I love the A340 too, but some people argue that it climbs too slowly-what would you say?

  • @dave4shmups - thanks for your comments. ref to climb up speed, i agree she climbs slowly but i also feel it is same as other long haul and fully laden Boeing 747's. fyg i love SAS A340-300 since her toilet has two windows - very nice.

  • Wow thanks for uploading this video. The quality is excellent. =]

  • you are welcome

  • thanks !

  • super video!!!
