Christians believe in evolution, however, just because we have certain characteristics as apes, it does not mean we come (evolved) from them. God created Apes with 48 Chromosomes, and humans with 46. I do not understand why is it so hard for people to understand that? Why do people want to relate themselfs so much with animals? Humans are humans, and animals are animals, that is just the order that God set up. God bless.

@michamus I understand, im not saying evolution (development) does not exist. Evolution does exist, however, people (Scientist and Theologians) disagree because of their interpretation. When it comes to explaining "missing links" there is always going to be dissagrement between people, because in order to come up with the correct interpretation, you have to study Origen Science. Origen science is not happening in front of our eyes, like the Operation Science, therefore, we believe what God says.
@SoySiervoDeDios1 - Evolution does not say we came from monkeys. We have a common ancestor. Please GET AN EDUCATION. The problem with every single one of these arguments is that the person taking the religious argument is completely uneducated in science. If you spent 1/10th the time studying REAL science that you spend reading the Bible and going to church and praying, in a matter of weeks you would realize just how ignorant you have been.
We are a tricky subject! Because we're a very recent species, yet we are the most mentally advanced species compared to others animals whom had MUCH more time to evolve.

Well I'm still scratching my head about religion. So are you. There's no reasoning with it. It's better to look at our nature- what is the evolutionary reason for the way we think. Our imperative is to survive and reproduce, not to reason with integrity. Rationality is not the default mode of our animal mind, just one of our intellectual tools.
@TheLarsonator10 To clarify, apes and humans came from a common ancestor. We didn't come from current day apes. As you go back in time, you see that current day apes and humans converge together.. and if you keep going, you see that all species eventually converge together. So no, we didn't come from current day apes or monkeys. We came from a common ancestor of apes. This isn't hard to understand if you study evolution for 5 minutes or so.
The old testament is full of symbolism! The New testament is to be taken literaly! Only dumb ass fundamentalists take the old testament literaly. Even the Pope embraces evolution. It dosent contradict the christian faith at all. So it isn't a matter of religion v evolution at all! Evolution doesn't threaten the existence of God at all. In fact many look at evolution as something that enhances their faith in God. Man is still learning, discovering what God has inspired.
It is not that much disturbs that some religions says God exists, but it is more what they make from this and how they present a god (their god) having for personality traits and rights.
I love how this assumes that only Fundamental Christians refuse accept Evolution. In comparison, there are Hindus, Jews and Muslims that lay in the same category. It would just be nice that people would at least attack all religions equally.
That's an interesting assumption you have there. It's interesting that you assumed that I had made the rejection of evolution exclusive to Fundamentalist Christians when I had made no such claim.
I would think it safe to presume you agree with the ToE and were simply stating that Christians are not alone in their rejection of the ToE.
@michamus Yes, but it does at least seem that that was your assumption. I apologize if that was not the intent, but it is frustrating. There are bad apples, as it were, amongst every religion and group.
@michamus Yes and no, as I am a Christianity and still believe in ToE. I just think we need to make clear that there are multiple fundamentalist view of religions that reject ToE, and they should all be pointed out. The Irony is that your original title, while still not right, was more accurate that the one you suggested in your description.
"Thanks be to God, that in this new cycle the admonition of Baha'u'llah is that in the search for truth man must weigh religious questions in the balance of science and reason. God has given us rational minds for this purpose, to penetrate all things, to find truth. If one renounces reason, what remains? The sacred text? How can we understand God's commands and to what use can we put them without the balance of reason? Let us ever weigh our deeds in the scales of the divine teaching."
Anyone who reads this message began depending on their heart once it had sufficiently developed in their body while within the womb.
As for the evolution of our cardiovascular system, a simple read of any credible evolutionary paper or textbook would provide an abundance of evidence in the evolution of the vertebrate and invertebrate heart.

Is a good start.
A word of advice, ditch the argument from ignorance, it's just silly.
@michamus If evolution is real, why don't we see it happening? More detail: Evolution is caused by beneficial mutations. If these mutations arose all of a sudden, which is the only means by which it could happen, then why would we not witness it, and, moreover, why are there not some species with only a mutation's difference from another? Why are there unnecessary mutations that still take hold, and why are there no species that continued without these mutations?
@michamus Also, unless by some coincidence, shouldn't only one animal get this beneficial mutation? And if somehow more than one carries it, wouldn't the only solution, sooner or later, come to incest, and wouldn't that result in deformity?
"If these mutations arose all of a sudden, which is the only means by which it could happen, then why would we not witness it."
Random mutations exist in every complex organism. In fact, you have 20-50 random mutations in your DNA that are clearly unique from the two halves your parent's combined to make you. The fact that you don't realize these mutations are well documented belies your ignorance to basic biology. You should really read more on the subject.
@michamus 1. This was not my main point. I don't care whether it's proven wrong or not. 2. I've never seen a deer born with bullet proof skin, a beneficial mutation. Name one that you've seen. 3. I already know we all have mutations. That was not even related to my point. The point is there are no visible ones.
Do you not realize that a deer being born with bulletproof skin would DISPROVE the theory of evolution.
You are neglecting to take into account mutation accumulation. 30-50 base pair changes are minimal when compared to a human genome of billions of base pairs. When you accumulate these changes over 100,000 generations (about 2 million years) you have changed 3-5million base pairs out of our 3 billion effectively altering 1/1000th of our DNA.
@michamus It's just an example. Like maybe an animal developing a long beak for eating bugs from trees. Mutation accumulation is just another theory. You can't back up theories with theories. That's just irrational.
Mutation accumulation is a fundamental part of the Theory of Evolution. Also, to say "It's just a theory" in a scientific sense is to say "The Theory of Gravity is JUST a theory."
A scientific theory is far more than the layman's term "theory", in that a scientific theory must explain all the data related to what it intends to explain, and must allow scientific predictions. For instance, in the theory of gravity, one can predict the attraction of two objects with their mass & dist
@michamus But that prediction will still only find out something that is based on the theory. Theories are like religion- they are things that try to make sense of the world. There are also more and less plausible ones, ones that are nearly perfect and ones that are flawed, just like religions. But everyone knows it's silly to say the Bible is true because it says it is. Theory of gravity may appear very likely, but it can still be proven wrong, like religion.
That prediction doesn't discover anything. The scientists utilize the prediction to accumulate more data, and if the data collected agrees with the prediction, then the theory is continually used until data is discovered that the theory cannot account for. Once this occurs, a new theory is crafted.
Religion is the opposite. With a religious claim an ultimate claim is made, that cannot be challenged, and must be believed despite contrary evidence.
@michamus You missed something. Religions are like a fabric trying to cover something. Some parts will go on top smoothly, others will bump out. They are an attempt to get as close to the truth as possible. Sound familiar? And you can always convert or simply live by your own philosophy.
1. a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny
2. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a supernatural agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
Belief - n.
1. any cognitive content held as true
2. a vague idea in which some confidence is placed
1. a theory that explains scientific observations; "scientific theories must be falsifiable"
2. A body of knowledge using controlled-variable experimental methods to construct a formal and mathematically structured system. It studies the character of natural reality.
Also, visible mutations are quite abundant from skin tone, to eye color. Brow ridge prominence, ear size, hair color, cranial capacity, nose size, bone density, and so on. These are all visual representations of genetic diversity that exists as outlined in the Law of Evolution, and predicted with the Theory of Evolution.
@michamus I meant, if it was not clear, that beneficial mutations are not visible, and the ones that were are, obviously, undocumented. And how exactly does base pair mutation take place?
Base pair mutations occur from errors on the initial gene duplication. Essentially, the initial split occurs, creating two copies of the original. In this splitting process, their are typically a small amount of duplication errors that occur, such as an A being placed where a C was. Also, each base pair can only couple with one other chemical pair type (A can only bond with T, and C with G).
@michamus Now here's something else: cells, the smallest things that living things consist of, are like machines. Look at them close-up and you'll be blown back by how mechanically they function. They're like mini factories. The placing process you mentioned is also very mechanical. Can evolution explain how something so small you can't see the inside with a microscope has developed such advanced functions, scientists are still trying to understand them?
Yes, mutations are created when the organism's DNA is first compiled either sexually (by two parents) or asexually (when a single organism simply replicates itself).
These base pair level mutations are unique to the organism they were created within, until that organism reproduces. Reproduction then allows those mutations to proliferate through the gene pool by it's subsequent offspring.
Your offspring need only possess a part of your DNA to carry on some of your mutations.
@michamus Okay, but, that mutation has barely any chance of carrying on, especially if it is recessive. And I'm thinking there are many examples of beneficial recessive genes.
Mutations don't have to be beneficial to carry on. There are many neutral mutations (like the ones I listed such as eye color) that can be given to subsequent generations.
You also have to realize that these mutations aren't "corrected" when your children inherit them. In fact, they are regarded as normal, and your children will have their own mutations with their inherited ones.
@michamus They are not all regarded as normal; take Down Syndrome for an example. I know mutations can be useless, but that doesn't answer my question: Why are there some recessive beneficial mutations?
the scientists find this a false misunderstanding because the shape of the face is too perfect for its image to look like a monkey, besides that this is just a theory.
Are you implying that a monkey's face isn't symmetrical, and that a human face is nearly perfectly symmetrical? The Theory of Evolution demonstrates we are indeed apes, and share a common ancestor with modern great apes. Great apes are our cousin species, and monkeys far distant cousins.
Besides, Evolutionary Theory is "just a theory" like "Theory of Gravitation" and "Theory of Electromagnetism" are "just theories".
Not only does the Theory of Evolution demonstrate that we are great apes, but DNA, paleontological, taxonomic, and biological evidence provide a wealth of comparisons providing our genetic link through common ancestry.
@michamus Obviously we genetics cant be too comparable to such species as monkeys hence Deoxyyribo Nucletic Acid is not inferior to guide into some substances as some scientists try to thwart nomenclature but there is absolutely no organization of us being apes for sure.
@michamus of course english comes from german 80% in a estimation but i learned english from America distinctly and i practice it in a unique way as a consequence,
Your syntax, grammar and structure are completely incorrect when it comes to American English. May I suggest you learn how to appropriately communicate if you want to be understood and taken seriously.
Also, my point still stands in that evidence completely disagrees with your assertions. Your claim will be taken far more seriously when you provide a comprehensive theory that explains the biological data collected to date that provides a compelling case for common ancestry.
@michamus Basically your being negative at the point where you deliberately just blattering out, there is too much complexity in one cell to be united, There are hundreds of species of extinct monkeys and apes.There is no scientific evidence that species can change the number of chromosomes within the DNA.Evolution cannot explain the presence of granite in its present structure. God made us in his own image, you wont dare to spit in his face and say "this is true" no your wrong,
Don't respond to me until you have learned to adequately express a concept in either English or American English in an understandable way.
Don't come in here with your pretentious mantra of certitude on matters you have zero evidence for, such as there even being a god, let alone one that created everything as it is.
You're not fooling me into believing you have even basic knowledge in biology.
@SpartanXable And now your saying that my english is incorrect, if this was true , you would not understand a single bit of it so stop changing the subject therefore you call yourself a chirstian even though your going through gods prophecy, basically your one of those false religions.
this dude has it goin on.. i'm not saying he is all the way right, but he has been doin his homework.. keep up the good work dude.. your on the right track
I think it's hilarious how many christians believe I was an atheist when I made this video.
I made this video nearly four years ago, and a lot has changed since then. I de-converted from Christianity not too long after this video was created, and have never looked back.
Generally Young Earth Creationists (YECs) will cite that in the Bible, it took 6 days for everything to be made by their god, then he rested a day. They then trace the timeline the Old Testament give for each generation stated since Adam, to Jesus. They add that up to about 4000 years. Then, you simply take that 4000 year figure, and add another 2000 years since the supposed birth of Jesus, and you get 6000 years.
We are so pathetic that there is tons off proof of evolution and yet most people believe that God created the world on 7 days and we magically appeared and I guess it's a coincidence that chips have pines and vaginas like humans do
for those who subscribe to this dubious evolution theory, (still a theory not a law) perhaps they can enlighten me on this question - which came first, the chicken or the egg?
@michamus This question is extremely flawed. If god is omnipresent, as it is claimed he is, he would have existed for all time. If he existed forever, he would have been in existence for the same time as what he was made of. Plus, if he is all powerful, as he is also claimed to be, he created everything, and if he created everything, there was nothing before him.
The question I posed was a response to the claim that "Anything that exists, must have a creator". This claim has a blatant contradiction in it, in that it is disregarded in the proceeding claim "God was not created despite the fact that it exists".
I agree though, that if god is claimed to have omnipresence, it must have always existed. This does not absolve the requirement of substantiating evidence in establishing the legitimacy of that claim.
@michamus A question for you: If I told you I was capable of doing everything, how would you test my claim? Surely it would be impossible, for one example you could say lift one building, then lift two, and so on until infinite. Thus, all power is impossible to prove. Omnipresence is just as impossible. We have no idea how to measure the length of existence of an item without carbon, and even then there is absolutely no way to be sure. Hide the location of the subject in question= impossibility.
Your statements are ludicrous. We measure non-carbon elements all the time. Also, omnipotence is a construct of the human mind that defies reality, unless you have suddenly solved the old question "Can god create a rock so heavy it can't lift it".
I find it mildly humorous that your basis of argument is from ignorance.
"We don't know how to detect an omnipresent entity"
Response: "Well, then what makes you think one exists?"
This is hardly a compelling argument to any skeptical mind.
You see, in order to posit a claim, one must provide evidence to substantiate that claim. You have claimed an omnipresent entity exists, and now you must provide evidence to support the existence of such a thing. Until then, anyone can comfortably dismiss your proposal due to lack of evidence.
After all, we are in the scientific age of inquiry, skepticism, and evidence, are we not?
A chicken like ancestor (probably the red jungle fowl) was laying eggs long before any chicken was born, for example. Before that dinosaurs laid eggs, before that reptiles before that amphibians etc etc.
Be used to show god so can evolution Even cars can be shown to have evolved over time a car from 1890 looks less complex as a car from 2011 evolution can be used to show a creator as well or show how he works just as with man making newer better cars lol give up your atheist delusion evolustion can be used to show proof of god lol because all creator design things then change them over time why would god be any difference what would be the point of not changing things
@rabisrabis "for those who subscribe to this dubious evolution theory, (still a theory not a law) perhaps they can enlighten me on this question - which came first, the chicken or the egg?"
as an evolutionist i'd say the egg. whatever chickens evolved from must had gradually become more and more like a modern day chicken until an egg was laid with the first embro of a fully evolved modern chicken. satisfied?
I encourage all Humanists, Evolutionists, Atheists, Agnostic, Satanists, Buddhists and Luciferians to participate in the facebook group, Lucifer's Constellatory Vanguard.
No Deities, Devils, Ghouls, Ghosts, Spirits, or self deceit...
Just knowledge, light, and understanding...
The need for the propagation of staunch atheism stems from the humanistic necessity to rid the world of self deceitful handicaps. Traditional religions, ) have hindered us long enough.
I am alpha n omega said God some of us already know that they're the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet some of us already know that so to me God has to be the whole Greek alphabet that abc123 now take the letters G.O.D work it work it alphanumerically 7th English letter G 15th is O 4th is D 7+15+4=26 do you know what that mean God is the whole English alphabet too 26 of them that spooked the scooby doo out of me what about you from' Very different lyrically' by The Th0ught Pr0v0ker
First of All all of you Atheist who hates religous ppl just respect them for who they are and their belives you have no proof! only freakin Hawking and Dawking or wutever is proving it for you not you... thats your hope... our hope is christ and god... and How ere the chimpanees made on earth??? And basicly God is not Man he is God and has knowledge he made our bodies the world our systems for body and science... so just respect others man you never know.
OH! lol... i get your video. u scared me there for a sec.. i thought you were saying that ur one of those really NOT OUT OF THE BOX people. (fundamentalwhatever Christianity peoplez) I would LOVE to argue with someone like that. (i love arguing). yeah. I Totally agree w/ u!
Also some Bishops created the Bible like 300 years after Jesus so you can't really believe that book. imean itz fun to read the stories....but, like, none of it is realllly true.
I made this video over 3 years ago. Since then I have renounced religion, and prefer to abstain from any positive belief in god.
In my opinion god is a construct created for those who need such an idea to continue their existence. It also seems to do well in controlling those who need a controller to live a "good life".
@IHarryPotter7 not really... the bible was not created by the bishop it had nothing to do with catholics at all. in fact the writing of the bible took place in Jerusalem and each chapter was written by a different person unless a person wrote more than one chapter. in fact the catholic religion had not even been created yet.
Problems.....1: "Religion as a whole does not see Evolution as a threat." huh? most religious people living in the 21st century can find ways to coexist with Evolution. 2:You believe the bible. u know the bible wasn't written by God or Jesus so you can't prove that its right. 3: Uhh...we are connected to the 'Animal kingdom' 4: What "status"? just cause we got a big brain dont mean we rule the earth! and "sorry everyone ells?" what are you? if God is going to save us he means everyone?! duh!!
@IHarryPotter7 how you says you see the evolution. religion or science is different first humans. we humans doesn;t prove that humans from epes or from adam ,eva or from anything we just believed evolution happened we doesn't have any records about evolution and everything what we say is 100 % guessed.
religion and science both are sucks to say humans from apes and humans from adam,eva we humans from humans. we here in earth for 2 million years. there is no evidence for humans from apes. without proof we cant blame anything, everything what you say is guessed. no one can answer birth of humans on earth other than its creature
@sounza We do have evidence of evolution, if you don't know this, we are apes, we are related to the gorilla and chimpanzee and any other primate out there, we share 95 % of our DNA with chimpanzees, most of our chromosomes match with the chimpanzee and gorilla. So what do you think? You think we just looked like this from the start? Please. I personally am not religious, i think religious seperates us and causes wars and death.
@SGTDA36 The holacaust was created by a Athiest...Yes, Hitler didn't believe in god, he wanted to commit genocide to the jews? So that example is flaud..
@supersquash7 I did not say anything about Hitler being non religious,what i meant was a lot of people hated people from a religion (Judaism).
Why did the Jews go to the Concentration camps? Because they believed in a religion that the Nazis hated, so the Nazis Committed Genocide against a people that believed in a religion that they did not like.
My example is not flawed, your understanding of my comment is.
@supersquash7 Hitler was a Christian. He said so proudly and repeatedly. But even if he wasnt, the thousands of soldiers who took part in the genocide certainly were. Religion is blight on humanity
@binkasaurus Indeed he was a Christian, Roman Catholic to be exact. It's interesting to note that he was never excommunicated from the catholic church (not even posthumously) for his heinous crimes against humanity.
:| Ok. like that ur putting your thoughts out there but....Problems...
Frist of all..... "Religion as a whole sees evolution as a threat..." i know a lot of religious people that don't see evolution as a threat. i dont even think the Pope sees it as a threat. did you know that Charles Darwin was religious??? maybe you think it is but not everyone thinks like u.
Charles Darwin was religious the first half of his life. It was upon returning on his voyage on the beagle, that he became more critical of religion in general.
This criticism seems to have eventually come to the point where in the last three years of his life he believed a god could not be known:
"I have never been an atheist in the sense of denying the existence of a God. – I think that generally ... an agnostic would be the most correct description of my state of mind."
"This fascinating lecture... ...is presented in simple terms so that even non-scientists can understand the principles involved."
I have found in my experience that this is creationist code for "we will equivocate scientific terms so as to make it appear to the layman, that our arguments are valid."
Funny thing is, that's exactly what this video did.
I'm glad i found someone who thinks the same way I do and apparently thinks the same way einstien did. Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.
what if: god created the world in 6 days, but in the other places in the bible, it tells that 1 day for god is like for a human 1000 years. what if god created all everywhere everything in 6000 years? it doesent need 100000000000blahblahblah years to come from one bacteria, becouse it is creation, and it is happening a lotta faster. then god leaved everything the way it is now, and during this speed that we have now, it would take like 10000000something years.
@fabioz91 so, is it possible that evolution and bible are both real? and the family threes that are in the bible, aint maybe the one and only real truth, becouse reality can be like this: "tony had abram, who had marya, who had muhammed who had john, who had billy", but everybody knows only "tony had billy". that makes possible that the world is a lotta older place that the bible tells.
@fabioz91 about noah, its a myth. it ended up in bible, becouse everybody talked about it. there actually was a flood (scientificly prooved), but not in the whole world. what if god destroyed only the most evil people, and the children of noah are jews, who are the "whole world's people" becouse they are god's holy people.
So, what you're saying is: "God created everything in 6,000 years, and it did this in such a way so as to make everything appear to have been around for billions of years".
Sounds pretty dishonest to me.
Also, to make things go "lotta faster" would require a massive heat output, due to the law of conservation.
@fabioz91 ok yes it is possible that god created the earth only 6,000 years ago and then made it look like 14.5 billion years (though wtf would be the point). Just as it is possible that a magical unicorn ate too much curry one night and shit out the universe. Just because you can not disprove something does not mean that there is absolutely any reason to believe it.
@scotthendo who are you and what are you talking about? answer me this question. who formed and created all lifes of all humans beings and the fact that our brain is limited on how much we can process. you knw humans have lived for thousands of years all scientists have accomplished are reaching the moon thts all. And some people like you compare science to the most superior force in the universe. without the creation of god we would be nothing, nothing at all. We shld thnk god for evrything.
@ROBMAT2010 No one created humans, that's the point, we evolved. "all scientists have accomplished are reaching the moon thts all" Are you fucking kidding me? Do you have any idea at all of how a massive accomplishment that is? I'm not surprised someone as ignorant as yourself believes in a deity, you have to be. You did get one thing correct though, "the creation of god" - yes, god is a creation of man, not the other way around.
@ROBMAT2010 Just going back to your point of "all scientists have accomplished are reaching the moon", keep in mind this is after the church ran dark ages where any critical thinking was under threat of death.
Ah, how convenient. When reality contradicts your imagination, you just imagine that much harder.
Even IF there was a sky-daddy, and he did make the world 6,000 years ago, that would still not explain why he made it appear to be BILLIONS of years old, through various radio-isotope dating methods.
Does your imaginary father just want to test you, by fabricating an enormous lie for you to "find the truth" despite it?
at 6:13 it sounds like moaning in the background were you watching porn? lol

@SoySiervoDeDios1
Human Chromosome 2 is a result of a direct fusion of 2 primate chromosomes. This is why we have 46 and our primate cousins have 48.
Evolution isn't an article of faith, it is a demonstrable process that is utilized in just about any biological field today.

Maybe the meaning on life is Nada? These questions like "Does God exist?" or "Science is right?" developes a greater state of mind.
Its a Win Win situation.

So your saying that humans are apes. From your example, isn't that just like saying my cousin is me??
Which I'm pretty sure that's not true.
TheLarsonator10 6 months ago
@TheLarsonator10
Your analogy fails in that a category is not a living thing.
To category humans as apes is akin to saying you and your cousin are close relatives.
To maintain the current analogy:
Hominidae = Great-Grandparents
Homininae = Grandparents and Ponginae = Great-Aunt/Uncles
Hominini = Parents and Gorillini = Aunt/Uncles
Homo = Humans, Pan (Chimps & Bonobos) = Siblings and Gorilla = Cousins
michamus 6 months ago 5
@TheLarsonator10 humans ARE apes
aHoboWithMoney 6 months ago

I love how this assumes that only Fundamental Christians refuse accept Evolution. In comparison, there are Hindus, Jews and Muslims that lay in the same category. It would just be nice that people would at least attack all religions equally.
griffithomi 8 months ago
@griffithomi
That's an interesting assumption you have there. It's interesting that you assumed that I had made the rejection of evolution exclusive to Fundamentalist Christians when I had made no such claim.
I would think it safe to presume you agree with the ToE and were simply stating that Christians are not alone in their rejection of the ToE.
michamus 8 months ago
@michamus Yes, but it does at least seem that that was your assumption. I apologize if that was not the intent, but it is frustrating. There are bad apples, as it were, amongst every religion and group.

I have a question for atheists: how did the heart evolve? It's something we depend on to survive, so when did we start depending on it?
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8

"Evolution of the heart from bacteria to man." on a HIGHLY CREDIBLE website (pubmed for goodness sake!)
If you're not serious enough about reading what REAL scientists have to say on the matter, than I'll not waste my time with you
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus If evolution is real, why don't we see it happening? More detail: Evolution is caused by beneficial mutations. If these mutations arose all of a sudden, which is the only means by which it could happen, then why would we not witness it, and, moreover, why are there not some species with only a mutation's difference from another? Why are there unnecessary mutations that still take hold, and why are there no species that continued without these mutations?
marekiller8 10 months ago
@michamus Also, unless by some coincidence, shouldn't only one animal get this beneficial mutation? And if somehow more than one carries it, wouldn't the only solution, sooner or later, come to incest, and wouldn't that result in deformity?
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
You should really read more on the subject.
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus 1. This was not my main point. I don't care whether it's proven wrong or not. 2. I've never seen a deer born with bullet proof skin, a beneficial mutation. Name one that you've seen. 3. I already know we all have mutations. That was not even related to my point. The point is there are no visible ones.
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
Do you not realize that a deer being born with bulletproof skin would DISPROVE the theory of evolution.
You are neglecting to take into account mutation accumulation. 30-50 base pair changes are minimal when compared to a human genome of billions of base pairs. When you accumulate these changes over 100,000 generations (about 2 million years) you have changed 3-5million base pairs out of our 3 billion effectively altering 1/1000th of our DNA.
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus It's just an example. Like maybe an animal developing a long beak for eating bugs from trees. Mutation accumulation is just another theory. You can't back up theories with theories. That's just irrational.
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
For instance, in the theory of gravity, one can predict the attraction of two objects with their mass & dist
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus But that prediction will still only find out something that is based on the theory. Theories are like religion- they are things that try to make sense of the world. There are also more and less plausible ones, ones that are nearly perfect and ones that are flawed, just like religions. But everyone knows it's silly to say the Bible is true because it says it is. Theory of gravity may appear very likely, but it can still be proven wrong, like religion.
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
That prediction doesn't discover anything. The scientists utilize the prediction to accumulate more data, and if the data collected agrees with the prediction, then the theory is continually used until data is discovered that the theory cannot account for. Once this occurs, a new theory is crafted.
Religion is the opposite. With a religious claim an ultimate claim is made, that cannot be challenged, and must be believed despite contrary evidence.
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus You missed something. Religions are like a fabric trying to cover something. Some parts will go on top smoothly, others will bump out. They are an attempt to get as close to the truth as possible. Sound familiar? And you can always convert or simply live by your own philosophy.
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
Religion - n.
1. a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny
2. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a supernatural agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
Belief - n.
1. any cognitive content held as true
2. a vague idea in which some confidence is placed
michamus 10 months ago
@marekiller8
Scientific Theory - n.
1. a theory that explains scientific observations; "scientific theories must be falsifiable"
2. A body of knowledge using controlled-variable experimental methods to construct a formal and mathematically structured system. It studies the character of natural reality.
observation - n.
1. the act of making and recording a measurement
2. facts learned by observing
Noticing a pattern here?
michamus 10 months ago
@marekiller8
All evolution needs are these things:
1. Base pair mutation
2. Reproduction
3. Natural Selection
It's really that simple.
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus I meant, if it was not clear, that beneficial mutations are not visible, and the ones that were are, obviously, undocumented. And how exactly does base pair mutation take place?
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
Base pair mutations occur from errors on the initial gene duplication. Essentially, the initial split occurs, creating two copies of the original. In this splitting process, their are typically a small amount of duplication errors that occur, such as an A being placed where a C was. Also, each base pair can only couple with one other chemical pair type (A can only bond with T, and C with G).
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus Now here's something else: cells, the smallest things that living things consist of, are like machines. Look at them close-up and you'll be blown back by how mechanically they function. They're like mini factories. The placing process you mentioned is also very mechanical. Can evolution explain how something so small you can't see the inside with a microscope has developed such advanced functions, scientists are still trying to understand them?
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
Yes it can, and it does.
I trust you don't take a simile such as "Cells are LIKE factories" literally.
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus Elaborate.
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
Your offspring need only possess a part of your DNA to carry on some of your mutations.
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus Okay, but, that mutation has barely any chance of carrying on, especially if it is recessive. And I'm thinking there are many examples of beneficial recessive genes.
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
Mutations don't have to be beneficial to carry on. There are many neutral mutations (like the ones I listed such as eye color) that can be given to subsequent generations.
You also have to realize that these mutations aren't "corrected" when your children inherit them. In fact, they are regarded as normal, and your children will have their own mutations with their inherited ones.
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus They are not all regarded as normal; take Down Syndrome for an example. I know mutations can be useless, but that doesn't answer my question: Why are there some recessive beneficial mutations?
marekiller8 10 months ago

the scientists find this a false misunderstanding because the shape of the face is too perfect for its image to look like a monkey, besides that this is just a theory.
SpartanXable 10 months ago
@SpartanXable
Equivocation only discredits YOUR argument.
michamus 10 months ago
@SpartanXable
Not only does the Theory of Evolution demonstrate that we are great apes, but DNA, paleontological, taxonomic, and biological evidence provide a wealth of comparisons providing our genetic link through common ancestry.
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus Obviously we genetics cant be too comparable to such species as monkeys hence Deoxyyribo Nucletic Acid is not inferior to guide into some substances as some scientists try to thwart nomenclature but there is absolutely no organization of us being apes for sure.

Also, my point still stands in that evidence completely disagrees with your assertions. Your claim will be taken far more seriously when you provide a comprehensive theory that explains the biological data collected to date that provides a compelling case for common ancestry.
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus Basically your being negative at the point where you deliberately just blattering out, there is too much complexity in one cell to be united, There are hundreds of species of extinct monkeys and apes.There is no scientific evidence that species can change the number of chromosomes within the DNA.Evolution cannot explain the presence of granite in its present structure.
They really believe everything is 6000 years old.

geniusjas87 10 months ago
@michamus This question is extremely flawed. If god is omnipresent, as it is claimed he is, he would have existed for all time. If he existed forever, he would have been in existence for the same time as what he was made of. Plus, if he is all powerful, as he is also claimed to be, he created everything, and if he created everything, there was nothing before him.
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
This does not absolve the requirement of substantiating evidence in establishing the legitimacy of that claim.
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus A question for you: If I told you I was capable of doing everything, how would you test my claim? Surely it would be impossible, for one example you could say lift one building, then lift two, and so on until infinite. Thus, all power is impossible to prove. Omnipresence is just as impossible. We have no idea how to measure the length of existence of an item without carbon, and even then there is absolutely no way to be sure. Hide the location of the subject in question= impossibility.
marekiller8 10 months ago
@marekiller8
"Well, I just feel like there is one"
michamus 10 months ago
@michamus
After all, we are in the scientific age of inquiry, skepticism, and evidence, are we not?

religion and science both are sucks to say humans from apes and humans from adam,eva we humans from humans. we here in earth for 2 million years. there is no evidence for humans from apes. without proof we cant blame anything, everything what you say is guessed. no one can answer birth of humans on earth other than its creature
sounza 1 year ago
@sounza We do have evidence of evolution, if you don't know this, we are apes, we are related to the gorilla and chimpanzee and any other primate out there, we share 95 % of our DNA with chimpanzees, most of our chromosomes match with the chimpanzee and gorilla. So what do you think? You think we just looked like this from the start? Please. I personally am not religious, i think religious seperates us and causes wars and death.
Take the holocaust for example.

@SGTDA36 The holacaust was created by a Athiest...Yes, Hitler didn't believe in god, he wanted to commit genocide to the jews? So that example is flaud..
supersquash7 9 months ago
@supersquash7 I did not say anything about Hitler being non religious,what i meant was a lot of people hated people from a religion (Judaism).
Why did the Jews go to the Concentration camps? Because they believed in a religion that the Nazis hated, so the Nazis Committed Genocide against a people that believed in a religion that they did not like.
My example is not flawed, your understanding of my comment is.
SGTDA36 9 months ago
@supersquash7 Hitler was a Christian. He said so proudly and repeatedly. But even if he wasnt, the thousands of soldiers who took part in the genocide certainly were. Religion is blight on humanity
binkasaurus 8 months ago
@binkasaurus Indeed he was a Christian, Roman Catholic to be exact. It's interesting to note that he was never excommunicated from the catholic church (not even posthumously) for his heinous crimes against humanity.

@binkasaurus Plus the regime had support by the Church in Germany...

:| Ok. like that ur putting your thoughts out there but....Problems...
Frist of all..... "Religion as a whole sees evolution as a threat..." i know a lot of religious people that don't see evolution as a threat. i dont even think the Pope sees it as a threat. did you know that Charles Darwin was religious??? maybe you think it is but not everyone thinks like u.
IHarryPotter7 1 year ago
@IHarryPotter7

Interesting video.

Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.

what if: god created the world in 6 days, but in the other places in the bible, it tells that 1 day for god is like for a human 1000 years. what if god created all everywhere everything in 6000 years? it doesent need 100000000000blahblahblah years to come from one bacteria, becouse it is creation, and it is happening a lotta faster. then god leaved everything the way it is now, and during this speed that we have now, it would take like 10000000something years.
fabioz91 1 year ago
@fabioz91 so, is it possible that evolution and bible are both real? and the family threes that are in the bible, aint maybe the one and only real truth, becouse reality can be like this: "tony had abram, who had marya, who had muhammed who had john, who had billy", but everybody knows only "tony had billy". that makes possible that the world is a lotta older place that the bible tells.
fabioz91 1 year ago
@fabioz91 about noah, its a myth. it ended up in bible, becouse everybody talked about it. there actually was a flood (scientificly prooved), but not in the whole world. what if god destroyed only the most evil people, and the children of noah are jews, who are the "whole world's people" becouse they are god's holy people.
is this a working idea?
fabioz91 1 year ago
@fabioz91
So, what you're saying is: "God created everything in 6,000 years, and it did this in such a way so as to make everything appear to have been around for billions of years".
Sounds pretty dishonest to me.
Also, to make things go "lotta faster" would require a massive heat output, due to the law of conservation.

@michamus i asked that is this a working idea? i want a clear answer, yes or no, and why.

@fabioz91
"i want a clear answer"
How about a clear, meaningful question first.

When in doubt, tell them to spell it out.
michamus 1 year ago
@fabioz91 ok yes it is possible that god created the earth only 6,000 years ago and then made it look like 14.5 billion years (though wtf would be the point). Just as it is possible that a magical unicorn ate too much curry one night and shit out the universe. Just because you can not disprove something does not mean that there is absolutely any reason to believe it.
scotthendo 1 year ago
@scotthendo aaight just thinking. thanks man.
fabioz91 1 year ago

You did get one thing correct though, "the creation of god" - yes, god is a creation of man, not the other way around.
scotthendo 1 year ago

Sounds pretty dishonest to me.
