  • the table whit the christs one of my favorites

  • wow, he got old.

once he gave shit on what others may have thought about him, and now?? now he is eager to be honoured and respected as a so called "serious" artist.

being "serious" was the enemy in his best days.

  • i am a german boy, but also for me its very difficult too understand his dialect so i hope somebody can make a undertitle in german and english ;)

  • Labor and Love

  • I agree, even kids know the difference :D

  • you mean geiger..

  • no its an artist

  • no -.-

the geiger counter was invented in 1928.

the means giger musta been about 150 years old now -.-

  • So proud of him being Swiss! ;) We don´t really have interesting Swiss "Stars" this is why I´m so proud of him: he made it! Thanks to all his fans all over the world! Thank you so much for your support!

  • Thanks to Switzerland for giving Geiger to the world.

  • very g000d

  • to all who don´t understand: almost nothing in this video has to do with gigers artwork or himself. actually he´s only talking about the changes in financing his projects after he´s released the necronomicon. don´t worry if you don´t understand cos i think it´s not much helpful understanding him or his art.

  • eeeeh somehow it does he talk bout personal freedom by the fact of havin the own money and not bein addicted to meaning or contracts or money...hes a fuckin evil capitalist but man what shall we do hes still kewl °_^

  • we will soon have an english versin of the whole film.

  • @conzett Have it yet?

  • his art has inspired me since I was 12 alien changed my life. He is the greatest artist, wish I could meet him id pass out.

  • Does this man worship Satan ... or is it just art?

  • to be honest mate i would'nt be suprized if giger had visions of hell itself....

  • you know the "Alien"-Saga?

  • Äh. Was hat diese behinderte Geschichte nun mit Giger's Kunst zu tun?! Sorry, für solch billige und zusammenhangslose Effekthascherei gibts keine Kudos.

  • He is the greatest artist on earth!

  • Being German I can barely understand what he is saying in his native dialect. Subtitles are urgently needed.

  • Please subtitle this soon!

  • What was the mystery of san-grotto about???

  • Grave robbing and mad scientists.

  • we're working on an english voiceover, stay tuned for that!

  • Excellent!! Thanks.

  • Please forgive me, and I hope not to seem like a pain in the ass, but do you have any other infomation on this film?

  • This must be a doc for Swiss-German TV as H.R. speaks in his native tongue. Giger mentions that him being able to release the 'Necronomicon' at that the time is what got him the 'Alien' job. He also talks about how his stuff used to sell for peanuts but that he now owns the copyright on everything and makes his living off of it. He says that being financially independent is essential in order to truly be creative and he doesn't think that artists should have to suffer for their art.

  • It's good to see him outside for once.

Now is there anyone who can translate this, it would so much more interesting to understand what he is saying.

  • coming soon !!

  • oh cool! are you going to translate this?

  • H.R. is talking about money ("I'm not that interested in money but one should have enough of it!") a.o.. He says that he expected a lot more visitors to come to his museum and that he had to advertise it by strategically placing certain pieces outside. He also has to be careful with his expenses as to not go into debt as the overhead is quite substantial.
