Sounds like you're playing a classical guitar. If you pick up a acoustic the strings are alot more easier to strum since they're tougher and not the nylon (I think...) strings on a classical.

It's over 20 years old and the strings weren't that new when I was playing the song, but I bought a new guitar for myself and hopefully I'll record a good video with the new guitar. be sure to try different rythms with your right hand, played light that it quite sounds like a hammer, so you would want to change rythms along the song. but keep up the effort, its not an easy song ;)
