  • LEFTIES ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

  • @davidbowierocksilove We sure do!

  • @UltimateBassCover brown ? maybe it's a VERY old one ? are you sure it's an epiphone ?

i'm interested in old SG basses, if you want you can privately send me photos and info on your bass if you're interested in selling.

  • What type strings ...Rounds, Flats ..?

  • @sturoc0 rounds

  • Hi ,

Nice bass ... just got one myself.

I plan on making mine a lefty .

Curious what strings you used cause yours sounds great. Also did you have to work the nut slots a bit or did you leave them as is? I really like the big chunky bridge on my EB3 . thanks for the video !!! Tom

  • @viper007HD i can't remember the strings, anyway they were roundwounds, i guess it was the same set that was installed when i bought the bass

  • the headstock starts at your shoulder height and ends at your waste, neckdive? xD

  • looks like the bass solo at the beginning of N.I.B. from Black Sabbath xD

  • looks like the bass solo at the beginning of N.I.B. from Black Sabbath xD

  • that bass is extremely cheap on music store...

  • sounds great. what amp you used in the video?

  • @PhototropicLemon no amp. just plugged directly into the notebook

  • Important thing, wich amp you used?

  • @PhototropicLemon plugged directly into the notebook

  • where did you get that guitar left handed??? really want one but am left handed and cant find one? Thanks

  • @jimmypage63 that's a right handed with swapped strings

  • is this also good for metal

  • Nice playing.

  • @NuclearHendrix thanks

  • can you tell me was it possible to do slappin on this bass cause someone told me it wasnt??????

  • @joel222booyeah umm i guess it is possible to slap, the fact is that the sound of this bass will not fit well the slap style

  • @joel222booyeah it sounds like coconut shells and there's nothing you to stop it!!

  • can you tell me was it possible to do slappin on this bass cause someone told me it wasnt??????

  • did you buy it lefty or did u switch the strings

  • did you buy it lefty or did u switch the strings

  • @thegrindking180 switched the strings

  • To make the difference between EB-0 and EB-3 clear:

    EB-3 is not only a 2 pickup bass, it's also a full-scale (34") bass, with set neck!

    The EB-0 is a one pickup short-scale bass (30.5") with bolt-on neck!

Im primarily a guitarist who plays some bass on the side for fun, and because I have relatively short fingers I consider a short-scale bass, as the short fret distance is more comfortable!

But it's limited whats available, but I have considered the EB-0!

  • @Michaelingolfhansen To make it clearer :

The EB3 started as a short scale bass, the EB3-L (with a 34" scale) was introduced later.

    htt p://en wikipedia org/wiki/G ibson_EB-3

  • Okay!

I was only thinking of the models available now!

    However: you had an EB-0?!

Sound wise, what would you say is the biggest difference between long and short scale?!

And how does the short scale EB-0 handle the deepest tones?

  • @Michaelingolfhansen not really.

eb3 simply means electric bass with 3 way swtichable picks...

    i have a short scale eb3

  • @cjorata si certamente la epiphone odierna cioe` made in korea o gibutti by the Truciolato Techonology team....for gibson

  • i have small fingers. How is the width of the neck on this bass....?

is there any thin bass you would suggest on this price range? nice playing, sir!

    Grazie

  • @RadiusBass As far as i remember the neck was ok and should go ok for your small fingers. I purchased this bass for 140€ in a local store but i guess that today you'll find nothing with this price.

  • I have a question about this bass. Did you get a different nut before playing it left handed? I also play left handed, and I was looking into another short-scale bass (Mustang bass) that doesn't come in a left handed model. If you didn't change the nut, did you have any intonation-related problems?

  • @Seishinbunretsusho

I get the nut reversed by my luthier and yes i guess there could be intonation problems if you don't change the nut, unless you use very thin strings ...

  • Comment removed

  • sweet, you're a lefty! oh ya it looks like an awesome bass and I am waiting to get it :)

  • I wish i was left handed :(

  • No !! You're lucky to be a righty !! You can't even imagine what struggle is to find a decent bass if you're lefty !!

  • I use a Rickenbacker 4003 and a Fender Precision but for the cash, these basses are really good. The Epiphone EB3 as well as the EB0 are fantastic value for the money.

  • Yeah, Rickenbacker are good basses but in my opinion they are overpriced.

  • @cjorata - Oh, I agree. And I found that during recording they don't have that 'punch' that the Fenders do. I recently sold the 4003 and replaced it with a Fender Jazz in Sunburst. Its easier to play, like the Precision, and has this comfortable slimness. So I'm a Fender fan forever! But having tried the EB3, I liked it.

  • The thing that i don't like about Ricks : despite the fact that they are handmade, not all of them sounds good. I owned a 4003 and sounded like shit (while other 4003 i heard sounded really good), now i own a 4001, sounds good but i've heard other 4001 sounding better ... now i've just buyed a 1978 Fender P Bass, i'm waiting for the owner to ship me from US

  • Yeah!!No one on a budget can afford that!

  • @poshi12 rickenbackers are not basses for the budgeted ones. they are definitively high quality basses (construction wise) but still i guess that they are overpriced because the average quality of the sound (which is basically what a bass player looks for) is not that good.

  • They shine when put through a pedal or two!A little bit of fuz or an envilope filter!your set!

  • @poshi12 yes but i'm into the fact that a bass that price should sound good without any kind of effect or pre amp or pre equalization or any other sound manipulation ...

  • I can dig it!

  • i bought one of these from my friend for 10 bucks because he hated it so much.you can see in the neck pocket that its made of plywood. its like a table!

  • No way man, pre 99 models was made of solid mahogany.

  • hii!! is your bass long scale o short?

  • hi there, the bass is short scale

  • can u tell me how much it was

  • HEy..great tone man! Can you tell me what youre playing?

  • Thanks ... it's just a simple improvisation on pentatonic E ... nothing complex at all ...

  • Woah, awesome tone man...

  • Thanks, i guess epi EB0 are great basses for the price they cost

  • hi men, really pretty bass

i have a question, how you put the string for a left handed player cause i am left handed like you

im from mexico excuse me the poor english

  • hi there, i switched the nut

  • Nice playing!

  • thank you !!

  • hey im a lefty, im planning on doing what you've done!

  • im thinking about getting a eb3 but i paly alote metal, and i was wondering if the eb3 was a good bass for that kind of playing??....also even thow i play bass, all of us jump around like morons so also is it sturty?

  • I like my epi ebo ,but it is rather heavy.

  • good to see another lefty bassist and that was groovy what you were playing sounded like n-i-b by black sabbath

  • yes it's similar to nib because both are basically improvisation on pentatonic E with a lot of bendings

  • this bass is cheap as hell and still cool

  • Hey, is that a lefty or switched strings?

  • switched nut and switched strings

  • was the sg bass good???beacuse i think i will buy one

  • grande!! ho anche io un epiphone SG, per la precisione un EB0...mi spiegheresti la differenza tra lo 0 e l'EB3? in termini di suono e di affinità più vicina al suono del gibson...grazie

  • I have a Vester bass, the neck is fantastic.

  • Thanks, I was searching for a video that shows me the sound of that bass!

  • I like the fact that you play Left handed with a righty bass :D

    thats awesome!

  • @Reozren thanks

  • bro what song are you playin it sounds phat

  • @hlvBROWNboy it's a improvisation

  • i have a 1969 gibson Eb3 cherry oak mmmm its sexy :)

  • what song are you playing its mean

  • @hlvBROWNboy it's a improvisation

  • mean bass oi id kill for that haha

    but honest oi...

  • hey nice job! im thinkin about getting a bass and i really like this kind. do u recommend this one? i like the look and sound but i hear reviews about it having pretty bad neck dive. is this true?

  • thank you ! about the neck ... i've found nothing wrong with the neck of this bass ... mine had setup by a professional luthier and was nearly perfect ...

  • i'm SO getting a bass like that! i've been playing a fender P-bass for six years now, it's time i get something smaller.

  • The best sounding P-Basses are the lighter ones ...

  • do you fender PBs or just PBs in general? well, i wouldn't know 'cause i'm a small player, so all PBs would be heavy for me... and i know that EB-0s are smaller and super light.

beside, it's a really beautiful instrument, even though it's sound ain't the most amazing thing.

  • For what i know, the lighter an instrument is, the better it sounds ... maybe this is not always true (see gibson les pauls, very heavy, very warm sound) ... in general i guess that Precision Bass is the best bass for almost every kind of music : rock, blues, punk, reggae ... the Precision sound always cut in the mix .. unfortunately today precision basses not always sound good ... if you want to have a decent sound you'll have to buy a vintage one ...

  • Sounds great man, gotta love that EB-O!

  • I had an EB 0 F Bass that I got for $100. The letter F stood for Fuzztone .. It was a 1964 Model and I sold it for $1800

  • Your EB-0 Cherry Gibson RULES!

    mine is black

  • I got an EB-0 for $179

  • hey i wana buy a bass i dont have much money an i like this 1 wud u recomend it

  • I own an Epiphone eb-0 coloured in black its very good ! so if you want a cheap bass then just buy one of these epiphone eb-0 s they cost only about 175-250€ and they sound great.

  • Yes. Go play it first to make sure but it's an awesome bass. I bought one last week and I can't put the thing down.

  • Cool Style!!!

  • how much do it cost?

  • Sorry, sold it about a year ago ...

  • The EB-0 (20 frets, 1 pickup) is about $200

    The EB-3 (22 frets, 2 pickups) is about $300

  • Bout $220. I got it used for $179.

  • What amp are you using?

  • I was plugging directly into my pc's line out.

  • What amp are you running it through? It sounds really good despite disparaging comments ive heard about that bass.

  • I was plugging directly into my pc's line out.

  • that's great tone... i need one of these

  • wait...you play lefty? i thought it looked wierd....

  • najs but dont like the style on it but nice played=)

  • BEAUTY

  • dude i got the same bass its sweet

  • question: there's big sound differece from Epyphone and Gibson SG ? I hope it's not only for the price

  • Theory says that Gibson SG should sound much better than the Epi. Anyway if you read some of the comments above it seems that it's not always true ...

  • Epiphones are a licensed copy maker. Their cheaper because they have cheaper parts, but sinced their actually licensed by Gibson, they still kick incredible amounts of ass.

  • My guitar player use an Epiphone SG-400 Korina, with Gibson pu, it sounds like a Gibson SG.

  • I have the EB-0 also, and its almost as good as the gibson, but the neck is shorter, and doesnt have the humbucker...i'm getting the EB-3 which, is almost $2000 cheaper, looks pretty much identical to the SG, and sounds almost just as good.if you want better sound, just replace the pickups...

  • I didn't see anyone comment on this, but you've re-strung a right-hand bass - fair play mate :)

  • how much did you pay please respond!

  • Uh i payed the bass like 140 € but it was second hand ....

  • Awesome! Do some more improv videos. U sounded like a mix of Gezzer Butler and Jack Bruce.

  • haha ... thanks ... this sounds like a big compliment to me ... they are both favourites of mine

  • Hey no prob. U deserve it. Very bluesy yet heavy sounding riffs. Hope u can make some more! Hey if u like Pink Floyd u should check out some of my vids. Peace.

  • agree !!! Thi's riff is similar to the N.I.B. intro from Black Sabbath, nice job !!!

  • righty instrument strung lefty....rock on hendrix bro!

  • for some reson wen people play bass left handed its pretty badass

  • is there such thing as an xplorer bass guitar

  • yeah

i'm pretty sure epiphone makes one

  • yep, gibson, epiphone, dean, and esp/ltd make explorer basses. also ibanez and hamer used to make basses with a shape similar to the explorer. i would go with dean or ltd out of those brands unless you can track down an ibanez.

  • I believe so

  • Ooh, I wish they made a lefty SG bass.

And I don't like flipping the strings, the knobs always get in my waiy.

  • Its an epiphone And i guess its a Vintage IDK its solid Black. Il get on here on utube when ever i get a chance

  • Oh ok ... i'm interested in old gibson basses, like '60 or '70 eb0's and eb3's

  • the 72' EB-3 in walnut is the best looking model ive seen

  • none that i can remember

  • Hey I got a Question I got an Gibson EB0. And i was woundering wat are the Price Ranges For one? Because I want to sell it

  • Gibson EB0 or Epiphone EB0 ? If it's a vintage one i can be interested ...

  • Hi thinking of buying a bass like that, em just wondering if you could tell me if it's good bass or not

  • It's good if you play rock blues or '70 influenced music ...

  • man that was really, really awesome. did you improvised that or was it smthg special? I loved that sound. I'd be very happy if you could send me tabs of that sort of music. (I'm a beginner on bass)

    thanks a lot!

  • Nothing special, a simple improvisation on pentatonic E ...

  • man that was really, really awesome! did you imrovised that or was it smthg special? i loved that sound. I'd be very happy if you could send me tabs of that sort of music. (i'm a beginner on bass).

    Thanks a lot!

  • @pLoPbLuB it's an improvistaion

  • No amp ... the bass was plugged into the computer sound card

  • sounding good there whats the eb like to play just so i know before i go and buy a thunderbird

  • wow. is that bass upside down?

    sounds good whaterver it is.

kinda got that loose, mellow, not so percussive tone. I wonder can it get percussive and in-your-face like?

  • Yes upside down ... no, i tried a lot of eq but you can't get any crunchy sound from this bass ...

  • are gibson basses good for metal??

  • I never tried enough gibson basses ... i know that the ThunderBird is often used by Metal bands ... also the current Queens of the Stone Age bass player use old gibson basses

  • If you get a Gibson Grabber-3. It HAS TO HAVE 3 PICK-UPS. If it doesn't it's not very good. Not the Ripper, not the Grabber with the sliding pick-up, the 3 PICK-UP ONE. It's the best Gibson bass

  • is it nice? my friends considering getting one but hes not sure, hes tight on money too. we play moderately hardcore music, what do you reccomend?

  • I guess he can consider to buy a highway fender precision, if you're lucky enough you can get a decent-sounding one ...

  • This is a real cool tune youre playing, nice!

I'm getting a bass and im stuck as to what bass to get so if anyone could give me some advice, much appreciated

  • There are a lot of good basses ... the choice is dependent on what kind of sound you like ... the only solution is to try as much basses as possible and to choose the one (or the ones) which fit best your desires ... another suggestion i can give you is to be careful if you plan to buy a fender, cause that name is not always synonim of good sounding basses, i own a mexico jazz and it sounds like crap, i tried some USA from the current production and it sounded like crap too ... try try try ...

  • Ah i'm a complete beginner though, but so far from what i've heard the EB-0 is a good entry-level bass

  • Again, it depends on what sound you want ... the EB0 is surely a cool bass but it's ok if you play old style rock, '60 / '70 rock , blues ecc ... if you want a more versatile sound i guess you should look at another kind of bass ...

  • I have that bass

  • hell yea FLCL style!!!!!

  • its not a guitar bro

  • Wath the hell are u talking about???

  • What EQ are you using, because although it sounded alright, there was bugger all clarity in your tone.

  • This is the sound of the bass ...

  • idk i played a white gibson EB-o at guitarcenter through an ampeg 610 rig and it sounded like crap compared to my stadard fender jazz and then again yours sounded good haha

  • I found this veeery strange ... the Gibson EB0, compared against the Epiphone EB0, should be way better ...

  • ive got an epiphone eb3 the only difference between the two is that, the eb3 is a better wood, it has two pickups, has a longer scale, and has pearl trapizoid fret inlays, OH and it sounds better :)

  • I'm thinking about getting an EB-0 bass myself.

  • I'm thinking about getting an EB0 bass myself.

  • that sounds really good, ill consider getting one.

  • nice bass. mine is same type and Colour and its Epiphone

  • YEAH !!

  • nice bass. mine is same type and Colour and its Epiphone
