This is so wrong and sad. I would never treat my llama like that. As others have stated: the girls are too big and lack respect for the animal. I am training my llama to carry my LITTLE granddaughters and a few lightweight packs. Llamas are very sensitive creatures who do not respond to cruelty (who does?). I never see my llama's ears pinned back like that in fear and anger. She responds to kindness, patience and respect (and a bit of sweet grain!)

Riding llamas is perfectly fine, but not if they haven't been trained. You need to train them for almost a month, hauling packs and walking them around until you get to the weight of a human. They're muscles need to toughen up. You can tell the llama is pissed, it's ears are back. He obviously's having a hard time holding their weight. Llamas can only carry 20-30% of their weight. A llama that is in peak physical condition can carry close to 30%. That llama probably weighs only 200-300lbs, and is NOT conditioned for packing should have at most 60lbs. (300lbs * 0.20 = 60lbs). These actions, especially the bouncing which is increasing the load on the animal, are causing that animal pain and spinal damage. Her entertainment is causing this animal pain, and if you doubt it, call your vet!
