@rssnowblind0 can't remember exactly, but for the lead bit it would have been some combination of reissue big muff, BYOC mighty mouse, and maybe some of the SM fuzz.
jazzmaster body, SY mods (i.e. no rollers, just a 3way and vol/tone?) warmoth(?) tele neck... tele custom re-issue p'ups... anodized p'guard... a fucked up old telefone cord that you put 1/4 male ends on... give us the low down on yr build man! it looks cool and stock. reliced?
are those songs in standard tuning? usually SY songs arent obviously, but it seems alot of the 2000's geffen records may have been more in standard EADGBE...
thanks, the only effect i was using at the start was a little echo from my WEM Copicat, + amp reverb of course. the fuzz noise is a combination of the pedals listed in tags>>> thru a hotrod deluxe.
What kind of bridge does that guitar have? Is it similar to the ones on those Di Pinto guitars? I have an older jaguar which I am wanting to replace the stupid rocking bridge on and the only tune-o-matic style bridge I found that looked appropriate were the ones featured on the Di-Pintos cause they had metal rollers for saddles and I use the trem still so... advice please?
on this guitar i use the normal standard US Jazzmaster bridge.
if you're having trouble with string slippage on your jag, have you tried using heavier strings? that almost always helps, also a good idea is to sightly shim the neck pocket to give a better angle. if none of that works for you, you might like the "Mastery" bridge, seems to be very good.
ooops, forgot to add, it's the Fender bridge, but with Graphtech saddles, these hold the strings in place much better, just a single groove in each saddle, they sound a bit "fatter" too.
@AlmigthyIsDead hi, yes the graphtech saddles have a single groove in them, you could use whatever size you like, they seem to hold in place pretty well. i find 11-52 works very well on this guitar.
mmmmmmmmmm...arty!

thanks dj, homemade body, allparts 60's style tele neck. plastic painted gold pickguard. the cable is a "Bullet" cable.
AFAIK those songs all have slightly different tunings, but this one is in a tuning used quite a lot by Thurston which is CGDGCD

@watkinscopicat
Does the graphtech saddles make it work like a mustang bridge? For example, would they allow me to play with 10's rather than 12's?

How's the intonation with a Tele neck on that Jazzmaster?
bubstance 2 years ago
the intonation is fine, the body was made and routed to fit a square heel tele neck, so no problems at all.
watkinscopicat 2 years ago
are you using a telecaster neck there? great!
