On Abbey Road he had the two best songs (something and here comes the sun). All things must pass is definitely the best beatles solo album, and has been voted as such.

John said that he had encouraged George to write songs but his stuff was simply not good enough. Claiming that he's equal to Lennon is a big exaggeration. As to Revolver, for me the best four songs are Eleanor Rigby, I'm only sleeping, here, there and everywhere + and your bird can sing. The "All Things Must Pass" album was by far the best of the Beatles intitial solo efforts. George, may he rest in peace, was fully loaded with songs the Beatles didn't do, but should have towards the end.

"Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp" is a fave of mine. George's spiritualism made him shine, and his music holds up splendidly.

I like this a lot. But I think Paul deserves more than just 'body'. He was certainly the most creative and musically talented Beatle I think and the driving force behind a lot of what they did. I would have gone for something like 'spirit' maybe.
