I heard the same roll at Kennywood yesterday, except they actually had the Baruška-Polka on it instead of this, which makes me wonder which roll the "Hop-Scotch Polka" came from that we hear in the beginning of "Kennywood Memories" and if they still have it?
@whoisthisguy724 No, this is a 146A. The bells are not original, they were added when the organ was restored in 2000. Although bells were standard on the 146B, they were also available for extra cost on the 146A. The main distinguishing feature of the 146B is the facade extensions on the drum wings.
This song was originally on TRT roll 13283 (issued in 1950)and is "Hop Scotch Polka." "Oh, you hop a little on your little left shoe, you hop a little on the right one too, you kick a button like the Scotch kids do, that's the Hop Scotch Polka."
Somehow when this tune was later incorporated into "polka" rolls, it got misnamed "Baruska" which is a different song altogether.
That's what I assumed, there's a (contemporary) roll that has the same name as what's on the catalog but is a completely different tune. I didn't realize it was previously issued on 13283.
Then again, the same label calls an obvious waltz "Metro Polka"...
Dave schumacher owns a wurlitzer 103 with drums. I got to see it at olcott rally. This is dave's brother's wurlitzer 146.
