  • After a whole lot of trial and error I finally found software that worked. I got my iphone unlocked with >>UNLOCKIPHONEIOS5(DOT)INFO. Works like a charm now.

  • Thank you for this, I was worried about using this workflow for my school powerpoint presentations because of the warnings that mirroring is not supported. However your video proves that iPAd and the VGA dongle will work, in a cool way! thanks.

  • Very helpful video! Thanks for posting it.

  • My church should use this!

  • Can you add a Keynote presentation made on the computer? Is the ap called "Presentation Ap" or something else? Does it come on the iPad or need to be downloaded? Does this work on iPad 1 and 2? (I have 1st Gen.)

  • Hey look there's some trees! And some pretty clouds. :p hahahahahaah

  • can you add text to the pictures?

  • Thanks for the great video. It finally answered all the question I needed answered! :)

  • Thank you for this video, Apple should pay you for uploading this since it just secured them yet another purchase of cables and keynote :D

  • thank you it was the first video to clearly explain how to do this. Straight and to the point. Validated the reason I bought the cord!

  • How do you change the background?

  • @corvettesarebetter You have to change that in the program using different templates.

  • Thank you for this presentation, it is very useful!. I had had a miserable experience for 3 times trying to make work the keynote app with a projector on a teaching room. i am not new on this, I have used presentations apps since powerpoint version 1. I wasn´t able to connect my ipad to the projector. Or it crashes and I have to restart the ipad or each time I connect the white cable the ipad freezes. Another issue was that once keynote starts, a grey screen appears on it an it doesn't start

  • the key to successful presentation with an ipad is to stand behind the podium from start of the presentation to finish. or go back to the podium everyime you need to advance the slide. very distracting for both you and your audience.

  • tried it during a presentation, the adapter gets loose or i sometimes step on the cable extension and the projector goes blank while we were so engrossed in the discussion. my audience all bellowed in disapointment as they were left hanging. no remote for the ipad. you have to carry it all around during your presentation. over time it gets heavy, you cant use your hands to make gestures, it's really restrictive, you want to throw it on the floor, were it not for the pricey tag. sigh. whata waste

  • @creep2nyt - sounds like you need to learn how to do a presentation...stay in one spot, behind a podium!

  • @GhostAholics I'm not sure if you are aware of the principles of delivering a great presentation. Staying in one spot just to use an ipad is definitely not it. An ipad is supposed to be a tool to enhance your presentation, not control or limit you behind the podium. Your audience will definitely not hoot over how nice the ipad you used over the manner on which your presentation was delivered.

  • @creep2nyt - lol, I teach corporate managers presentation skills for a living, amongst other things. Have done for 17 years! If you're walking around while doing your presentation, your audience isn't focusing on what you're saying, they're wondering where you're going to go next! A good presenter should be heard and not seen! :-)

But, I digress, what works for some, doesn't always work for others. However, if you're walking around with the iPad in hand, it's just going to look a bit silly. :-)

  • @GhostAholics I talk infront an audience of 400 or more for 8 hours for with a few breaks for several days. If I stay fixed behind the podium isolated with my ipad, the 8 hours would later on be equivalent to 8 hours of bedtime. Visuals are only tools and wouldn't compensate for a more interactive audience participation. Yeah, if I talk with the ipad held like a book against my chest, I'd look like moses. hehe!

Good for you it matches your needs. I just hope it has more room for flexibility.

  • @GhostAholics I deliver pesentations that last for 8 hours per day. now tell me to stay in one spot. duh?!

  • Comment removed

  • @creep2nyt - well, you never said that before, and I've never, in all my years of corporate work, NEVER, seen a presentation that last for '8 hours'. At least not consistently - you'd have to break every hour at least for 5 to 10 minutes. I've seen TEAM presentations though

I just recently started using the iPad to do presentations too, and I love it! It's actually easier to make presentations on my iPad than it is on the iMac! Just a pity it doesn't allow audio to be played from a 'play' link.

  • @GhostAholics You kept on saying lots of things and you never asked.. Suit yourself with your "rules" and your "world". It just would be plain stupid for me to follow them. Im in training and with the extent of info we have to cover.. your hourly break would be a big waste of corporate time. we'd end in two years just to finish one course manual. It's really sad a lot of people know how to talk but only few know how to listen.

  • @creep2nyt - well now I just think you're full of shit! You say you ''talk in front of an audience of 400 or more, for 8 hours a day..." (which I doubt), and now you say "...I'm in training."

I've been doing corporate presentations for 17 years and written training manuals for various companies on presentation skills, especially for overseas client meetings. Please, don't try to insult my intelligence by trying to condescend me on a subject matter that I'm extremely good at!

  • @GhostAholics how small is you're world? it may be shit for you just because it's not in your dictionary. Well, i've got news for you, your 17 years does not limit others inside your goldfish bowl. You must be really irritating, pedagigical, exasperating to say the least. You're the type who hates a dissenting opinion and always expect an applause at the end of your ego tripping talks. wow! you're ego is massssive! lol!

  • @creep2nyt - MY ego is massive? hahahaha Have you listened to yourself? I thought you were a rational person, but obviously you're just a complete fuckwit! My world is great thanks, actually everything I want and need it to be! Next time, try coming back with a response on at least the same day, instead of taking five days to try and come up with something witty with big words in! There really was no need for you to turn into an arsehole, but I guess it's what you do best.

  • @GhostAholics well if that's what you'd like to think. Haha! you really have a very narrow perceptual field. hehe! not everyone has the time for this, like you. U do make the biggest deal out of the most insignificant things, just to fit your self-praising paradigms. jeez! ;) I dont take that long to think of a reply infact, you'd see it in the careless typos i do. hehe! and excuse me, what ive said aint big for me. you really love to give urself a pat at the back just to reassure urself. ;)

  • @creep2nyt - is this the best you can do? A self-edifying retort whereby you presume to know someone? If my perceptual field is so narrow, then I guess having the balls to pick up and move half-way around the world after losing everything in my life 20 years ago, does not qualify as seeing the bigger picture. Initially I tried to have a reasonable debate with you on the use of iPad for presentations, but I guess intellectual conversation is beyond your IQ level. Please, retort pathetically again

  • @GhostAholics yawn... if you get a report of my IQ tests you'd be biting your tongue. hehe. and yes, i profile people as well for a living. ^_* Yeah, i guess you do need to have a BIG ego it helps meet deep seated needs.

  • @creep2nyt - yeah, course you do, you're a jack of all trades and a master of none.

And what 'deep seated needs' would those be? Because really, I have everything I need in my life and I don't mind shouting out to the world how I achieved my successes. If that's having a big ego, then yeah, I do have one and proud of it!

Please, enough of the bullshit, you're not fooling anyone!

  • @GhostAholics ok, since you badly need it. :) as i've said, whatever suit u and makes u happy. hehe! jeez.

  • @creep2nyt - you're also someone who does 'presentations' in a church - and like a typical "I know better than thou" church talker, you're starting to get antsy with your replies, and for no reason. If you think you're better than me at doing presentations with the iPad, or in general, fine, I really don't care. I do it for a living and as I said before, what works for some, doesn't work for others. Not taking a break every hour probably bores the crap out of your audience!

  • @GhostAholics blah blah blah suit urself. i wouldnt want to be in ur audience thats for sure.

  • @GhostAholics blah blah blah suit urself. i wouldnt want to be in ur audience thats for sure. for someone who havent seen yet or explored other people's realities, you assume too much. not taking an hourly break will definitely bore your audience not mine. dont take your experience as gospel truth. you're too 17 years ago.

  • dis is worrying in case it screw up before a presentation. how did yours go?
