  • ...Get a clue on what to tyitle your video would you...? Or at least title it "Part One.."

Thanks for soaking up my life for nothing..!!

  • good info

    nook n cranny dayton

  • NEVER SEEK ADVICE FOR EHOW!!!!!!

  • this video sucks badly... a lot of times if it does not crank over it can be your FUEL LINE TOO. because that what happen to me a frozen gas line out in the cold under half gallon more like a quarter tank which is bad for 25 degrees weather. from bad fuel pump to frozen gas line. or if your battery so cold it won't start either.

  • Title to the video is wrong . it should be : How to test a battery with the Snap-On carbon pile tester

  • and who in the hell is just gonna have a freakin volt amp tester lyin around. i mean really. only a mechanic is gonna have something like that

  • Okay, Good video, what happens when i turn the key nothing happens? i just changed my starter with a rebuild..was working great for 2-3 weeks, last few days...when i turn the key nothing happens, just dead silence. how ever, after 10-15 min i am able to start it, lucky! Do you think its the starter? please write back

  • Thanks for posting a video of how they test your battery at AutoZone. You should think about posting a video about how to diagnose a bad starter motor, people might want to see that too.

  • Load testing a battery is not how you diagnose a bad starter. There are a million reasons besides a bad battery and starter that can cause an engine to not start.

  • @swickerific His conclusion simply was that "the battery is not the problem." He did not say that it had to be the starter.

Still, where's the next video with what to check next?

  • @rickman33 Yet the title of this video is "How to Diagnose a Bad Starter Motor "

  • Oh, WTF?

This is not how to diagnose a starter

This is how to test a battery, if you own this volt amp tester. Which no one would

And I can just turn the headlights on and get a reasonable idea if it's the battery that's dead.

Ok, so it's not the battery, check! Now, does that mean the starter is bad? NO!

Still gotta check all the electrical connections, check if ya got power all the way down. Check the solenoid. Etc....

So where the hell is the rest of the diagnosis?

  • thanks

    nice and helpful

if we have 't testing device what should we do

    instead
