  • AM trash never has nor ever will sound this good. At least the AM/Pop stuff back then was well written.

  • I love this time frame of Jefferson Starship. Grace and Marty, to me, were the voices of Starship!

  • I like the voice of this particular singer...it seems a lot of the songs he leads on, they have this dreamy effect

  • Cant get him out of my head when I listen to this~~~~~<3

  • I could relate then and even more now!!! Damn this is a great song!!Sure dont make em like they used to :)

I could relate then, and even more now! What a great song! They sure dont make em like they used to! :)

  • This was life before shit face Barack Obama surfaced

  • i'll never forget this but i was about 3 years old driving down the road with my dad in his red chevy truck and this song came on the radio. I'll be 39 on jan 9th 2012. I cant believe its been so long ago. thanks dad for listening to the best music a kid could ever ask for.

  • my wedding song! :)

  • What did you do to me? I can't get you out of my head.

  • Such a simple song but such a wonderful song!

  • @mr22ron 'ya it's like an extention of "Miricles" hey?

  • I'm not particularly a love song person, but most of my favorite Starship songs are Balin's love songs.

  • This song is beautiful....in my mind the quissesential '70's song.....the ultimate California laid back '70's song.

  • Once I hear guitars played well, I'm seduced. Ha ha ha ♪♪♪▼♪♪♪♪

  • From the start it's been Balin and Slick. What a pair of talents. Great stuff. Love this song.

  • Great music and a great Era!

  • Cool song. It brings me back to the days of my childhood riding in the backseat of my parents station wagon.

  • You might remember "Disco Duck" was topping the charts about the same time this song was a hit. I think "Muskrat Love" followed soon after.

There was some real garbage being bought back in 76 just like there is today, but I'll take that era over today's on overall quality.

  • @gkctex overall quality of life in general!

  • Great music, great time, and great memories....love this stuff...can't see anyone fondly reminiscing to rap music..."I like big butt" only reminds me of Clinton and Lewinsky - LOL

  • I love this song! The words remind me of someone special in my life! <3

  • I WISH MUSIC WAS STILL THIS FANTASTIC! The '70s ruled!!! I am glad I was in high school at this time to listen to such great bands as Jefferson Starship!

  • This is the first song that our twin daughters heard after their mother and I brought them from the hospital to their new home...what a glorious day!!!

  • There's just something about this song.

  • man i miss this music great times , feels so good listining to it.

  • A time when we had REAL music!!!

  • they don't make music like this anymore!!!!! i love it!!!!

  • 6 dislikes??

  • "...you got my heart, now I don't know what I'm gonna do..." I love that line!

  • to kbrc811, yeah, makes me feel the same way. i had completely forgotten about this song. i happened to come upon it just now. wow, it's so good!

  • Absolutely love this song.

  • Dawn Kinsack, Whatcha doin to me with your love????

Girl, you are a million dollars and I love you dearly.

    Capt Sam

  • These were the days when top forty songs were of the highest caliber! There was great music with great voices! Furthermore, there was a variety of great music--every song didn't sound like a carbon copy of the preceding song! Those were great days in music:the 60's, 70's and 80's! I like the 90's and new stuff, but it doesn't compare, as a whole, to the stuff of the earlier years! BobbyK

  • @bobby7771117 i think you need to take a closer look at the charts from 'back then' and tell me if you still think top forty songs were of the 'highest calibre.' there wasn't some magical time when music was great and then everything changed...you just got old. thats all that happened. sorry to break it to you. at some point, people just stop listening and stop seeking out interesting new music. trust me, its out there, you just have to do a little work to find it.

  • As appealing as it is, I would rather hear Marty Balin sing than see Grace Slick straddle a dragon!

  • I love Marty Balin's voice!

  • 6 people gotta be taken back to 1976 and beat with shovels!

  • One of the worlds' most sensual songs. You can feel the deep love, both spiritual and physical, this man expresses for this woman, without it becoming lewd. A true classic, performed with class.

  • This song I absolutely love, it has so much character and it is one of those songs that is saying just the right words that I am feeling at the moment and I thank Jefferson Starship for getting it just right!!

  • One of the sweetest things I've ever heard.

  • they were great!

  • Balin is the best!

  • Great song brings back so many memories from the seventies.

  • this song always reminds me of my baby. What you doing doing me with your love?

  • 5 folks have no taste

  • ..hey good people! ..great stories, fond memories! ..thnx 4 sharing!

  • Belinda Landers from Houston, Texas. This song will always remind me of you and the summer of 1976. What a great song now and then.

  • JS hit #12 in Billboard, 9-18-76. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • The 70s were the best. California surfing, diving, hiking, skiing, camping, naked in the desert, dirt bikes, love and sex, maryjane, Owsley, Mexico trips to secret surf spots, dumpster diving, abalone big as a plate, running through Blacks Beach Park and down the cliffs on LSD, skydiving, aerobatics on L... God it was great. Sorry you missed it.

  • @whemadre

Sounds like you and I had the same teenage years in San Diego!

  • Music radio WPGC-FM, 95.9, Washington, DC!

  • I was born in 1976, and right now I know that 1976 really is a great year for music, love the art cover of the album by the way

  • This is bedroom music..

  • Awesome memories of a great year and a great time even though I was just 11 years old. These memories will never die. Thanks for posting this.

  • Don't know what I was doing that year but don't remember this! Heard it last year on FM... Loved it... Thought it was a new release ( haha) til I heard who the artist was. It's great; sounds like it could be current. Really nice songz

  • Fast forward to April 2010, now 48, and this reminds me of my BF in New Mexico, he took me there in July and we were bonded by love and our love of 70's music, it was magical, listening to this music in the car ride from CA to NM, listening to this music in his yard, breezes blowing, after that I'd take every vacation day i had to be with him. He has moved on now to my surprise, but I will never forget those magical moments

  • Great Memories from 1976 when I turned 21 - beautiful time then.

  • The late summer of 1976 will never completely go away. This great song is a part of the reason why. Thanks for posting.

  • I never realized I liked so many of their songs. Now I hear them and it takes me back, back to where I'd much rather be. I had a great F%#kin' time and damn it I miss those days."HELPPPPP MR. WIZARDDDDDDDDDDD !!!!

  • Still listen to this song ever chance I get....soooo sweet.

  • Marty Balin did have some magic. Did his feelings for Grace have anything to do with it?

  • Jeff's best :) :)

  • I'm a widower 2X .... This was our wedding song for my first wife .....

  • Marty balin might be the most unserappreciated vocalist of any era...

  • @one4technique Amen to that brother.

  • Absolutely amazing song...favorite song from this band...so much talent

  • I got to know what your doing, doing to me with your love

  • Can't get enough of Marty Balin, and the keyboard work in this song is *beautiful*...

  • 1976, i was 20 yrs old and loving this song.

  • The prettiest and most loving song ever!! Close 2nd - Miracles - love and sex. " I got a taste of the real world...."

  • Awe baabes I love you sioooo much sweeet baby girl, u mine ! You got my heart.

  • I love you

  • Wow! Tears are rolling, it's so so so long since I heard this song... what a truly AWESOME band!

Had the pleasure of seeing them in '89 in Golden Gate Park following the quake... I was a Mohican Punk visiting from London with my similar g/f... we were filmed by a serious crew, but I've never seen any footage of that gig... anyone out there know anything about it?

    All Hail Discordia!

  • Guess Marty has an art gallery in the Pinellas County Florida area these days. Very unique voice, great tunes.

  • 4 peps here have no heart

  • One of the very best of its era.

  • I always like this song!

  • One of those songs I've heard a hundred times at the grocery store, but never knew existed.. until now.

  • Was in OK. city saw Grace on a billboard they're still touring at 72!!!

  • Grace Slick was and is such a beautiful woman!

  • Ahh, the 1970's - my fav decade, hands down!

  • Classic,classic it can't get any better....

  • Love this song, I still have the LP, but that has got to be the height of cheesy 70's album covers!!!

A garish orange color with a dragon, created from some really wacky weed, holding an enormous pearl.

  • This song is soooo badass!!! There is a lot of power in being delicate! On top of that, the arrangement of this song is on point, especially if you're listening to this as a musician.

  • @mleon1958 You're so right! This song was always my favorite Fender-Rhodes song:)

He uses virtually the entire scale in his playing, YET, it still sits tastefully in the mix without dominating.

    Brilliant Musicianship & Engineering!

  • make love to me nowyummmmm

  • ES LA MEJOR MUSICA QUE A EXISTIDO

  • I just love the ethereal feel of this song...

  • Loved the old Jeff starship..I saw them live with Marty in the late 80s in Brooklyn NY near Coney Island

  • Geez...this reminds me of Sunday morning scrambling eggs and watching old re-runs of Abbott & Costello & the Three Stooges with this song playing in the background on the radio in my kitchen-(back when this song was brand-new)

  • "you've gt my heart I dont know what Im gonna do"

  • Just a lovely song- how can you not just mellow out?

  • I love the 70's version of this group....after a cetain point, they got so soft and the music is just relaxing! Also very inspiring!!

  • they should have just named this song miracles 2 haha

  • @GodschildJCE Ha ha, that's what I was thinking. I'm pretty sure they reused Craig Chaquico's guitar noodling.

  • @GodschildJCE Got a point there.

  • I like how they went from acid rock to make out music.

  • This song makes me feel proud knowing I lived through a beautiful era.

  • @kbrc811 me too, kbrc811, i was a teenager, you?

  • @4gnrations07 yup..just a pup!

  • @kbrc811 love '76 music=the best x of my life. Went to Destin, Fl. for 5 days w the most wonderful man, we were 25. Miracles, etc brings back to me the most beautiful memories of my life. Circumstances kept us apart & I've spent the last 35 yrs. regretting & missing him. I contacted him 2 yrs ago feeling that if i ever wanted to tell him all he meant to me, I'd better soon. He died last Nov...ESRD. He told me "I once loved u more than life it's self.".

  • @apples1950 Now, that is the most powerful life story I've heard in awhile....Good on you to follow your instincts....but very sorry about his ESRD....

  • @apples1950 Life is short.....Sorry for you and to read this. Best wishes.

  • @kbrc811 I will play songs of this era in the bar i go to. the 20 + girls and guys will actually know the lyrics. Whats that tell you my friend.

  • @kbrc811 It was the best!

  • @kbrc811 True! I loved the 70s..... :)

  • Billboard's #84 song of '76. Personally, I like Marty Balin's voice better than Mickey Thomas', right, gang? JS hit #6 AC, #12 pop in Billboard. God bless!

  • this song made me fall in love with someone very true to my heart, and that someone i plan to marry.i love you rosie

  • If it weren't for Jefferson Airplane and/or Starship (depending on when u were born), we would all be working for Lockheed or General Dynamics or General Mortors or under the direction of the sheeple.(interpretation:No critical thinking of your own)

  • lol monk326

  • They don't make music like this anymore.

  • i was wrong about runaway, the BALIN hits are count on me, miracles and with your

love, he was a founding member of Airplane

  • all their 70s hits were written, sung and produced by Marty Balin. Kantner of course

was involved but the songs, Miracles, wITH YOUR lOVE, rUNAWAY ARE BY BALIN

  • Beautiful song...The fabulous 70's A time of some of the best music that ever was and ever will be...They do not and will not ever make music like this any more!

Jefferson Starship is one amazing group. UNTOUCHABLE. All of their songs are great! Now I got to know what you doing to me "WITH YOUR LOVE"! *Sighs*

They certainly do make MIRACLES with their music! Love it all!

Classic with the greatest of memories, Music, People and the BEST of times!

  • @2009Denisem thx 4 this gem!

  • One of my all time favorites. Marty Balin has a wonderful voice. An oldie and a real goodie! Love this old music. You can't beat the classics. The music today ought to take a few notes. This has been around for decades.

  • I have loved this song since it came out. But I never knew it was Balin singing. I always thought it was Kantner. I have never even heard of Marty Balin!

  • @GrinchandMax Check him out singing with Grace on "Today" - a timeless classic from the Surrealistic Pillow album. They had a real chemistry back in the day. He outdid himself with "Miracles," too, & you'd love "Atlanta Lady! Great songwriter & performer.

  • wow

  • This is a song that is like a fine wine. It still holds its tune over 30 years later.

  • @gtekeeper Marty Balin is like fine wine and still sounds wonderful 30 years later. He is even so good looking now, handsome, and his voice is one of the best rock male vocalists in history. I'm shocked and sorry his wife, Karen Deal, died last November, a tragic thing to happen to her, him, and their daughter. I hope Marty is doing well. My heart breaks for him for having lost his wife. His voice makes my heart sing listening to it.

  • I had this album. It was a freaky album cover though.

  • This is what real music used to sound like........love this tune!

  • one of the best songs to get your grove on with soft rock smooth jazz

  • Love this song. All these great Jefferson Starship songs come back.

  • Where's the elevator...?

    But seriously, very polished.

The use of augmented chords is nice.

  • This is a dreamy song like Miracles. Great band.

  • @auroralights100 agree with ya 100% i just got done listening to miracles before listening to this ha

  • thanks.i've found the right song!haha.best wishes.

  • Marty Balin can sing. Wow.

  • This song and 1976 brings back fun memories of youth and innocence, not a care in the world... makes me smile :)))

  • This song and 1976 brings back fun memories of youth and innocence, not a care in the world... makes me smile :)))

  • loving it !!!!! I wish I can go back!!!!

  • Mid 70's was Marty Balin at his best, very under-rated

  • @bretoff and the way he sings now, he's very over-rated so he's even.

  • @tryithere I dont get what you are saying, he is lder now his voice changed of course he wont be as good as he was

  • @tryithere - - yes, from what I've heard him do recently - he needs to give it up

  • Was only five when this came out, but the first few seconds of this song is so memorable that even a five year old remembers this!!

  • love this song

  • LOVE IT!

  • this song resonates with the impulses and blessings of falling in love very beautifully. I got to know.

  • A marvelous song from the days of my youth!!!

  • in all honesty, i sorta wonder what kind of new material jefferson starship would be able to put out without grace, marty or mickey... i bet they're still a good live act but as a recording act, i don't know if they'd have the same level of inspiration they had with those 3.

  • Beautiful song!

  • A time when we had REAL music!!!

  • With a woman as beautiful and talented as Grace Slick it would have been very hard to resist being drawn to the dark side!

  • one of the greatest love songs ever written. who is the lead singer to this song?

  • My dad had a shirt of this album cover when i was a kid, used to scare me.

  • Slick looked like a porn star, effed everyone like one, she was so hott. Sorry, she just friggin was. Even at 70, she's a serious GILF.

  • I like this song; warm and raggedy.

  • ♥ *¨*•♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸♥ one of the most beautiful songs ever perfomed ♥ *¨*•♪♫•*¨•.¸¸♥
