The reason why the reactions of the audience look so dull is that in Korean tradition, girls who are formally dressed are not supposed to show their emotions. That's ridiculous, but Korean women tend to deceive their real feelings especially in formal occasions like movie awards and etc. Korean women are different from Western women. They are educated to look calm, shy... Actually they are all captured by Rain, just not revealing their feelings.
