I am thinking of getting a Vespa GTS 300 Super Scooter, but I also want the 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250. This will be my first time with either one as I am a new 2 wheel driver. Good video.
@M1License Don't be nervous about motorcycling or scooting. Take the MSF course. You'll meet lots of people from all ages who are getting into bikes. It's a safe place to build your confidence and learn how to ride. They'll even teach you how to pick up a bike if you drop it. You really don't want to drop a new bike.
Test ride both bikes once you are more comfortable with your motorcycle skills. I learned early on that cruisers aren't for me. I ride a scooter and a standard motorcycle now.
Just bought mine 2 days ago, got 45 miles on it so far (25 miles just in the drive home from the dealership), all city / back road driving home + to and from work every day so far, and after 45 miles i'm only through 1/4 a tank of gas, so I'm guestimating probably going to get around 70mpg city driving.
Nice scooter. Powerful enough for the intersatate too. Classic. That underseat storage is a plastic bucket that lifts out for easy access to the engine. From a Ruckus to a Vespa 300 is a quantum leap. This is a lot of scooter.
Hey kb3gjp123 I had a Honda Ruckus aswell and IDK what's with kids and them. There are alout of fans of them and I don't see why because I had mine for 4 mouths and then sold it to get a buddy and i'm alout happyer.
Not my scooter since it is not 50cc and requires Motorcycle license. If you don't mind a 2 stroke(One that requires 2cycle oli in the gas. like blowers and weed wakers) Aprilia SR50 is known as one of the fastest 50cc. Going just about 50MPH,
That spedometer thing is not technically a "Defect." From what I understand, most scooter and motorcycle manufacturers slightly read higher than your real velocity as standard because they found it greatly decreases motorcycle and scooter accidents. Of course, this fools no one, but just thought i'd throw it out there
Hi, Im looking at the GTS 125 Super over here in the UK,, they look identical in every way, execpt the 300 i hear has a better spec brake system. The 125 though is shorter in length and also in width but the same height from thier spec sheets,, do you know why ????
Hi there - nice review of this really cool bike, just some things.
1.Push your ignition switch in to open the glove box.
2.There are a couple of other differences between the 250 and your 300 that you have not mentioned - the 250 has a small light in the front and the dash has some other differences, it has a temp gauge and trip and is digital.
Thanks for the video mate. I like the fact that you showed everything on the bike, like where the indicators are/ what the lights all meant ect. I'm thinking about getting one myself, would you recommend it now that you've had it for a while? Also have you ridden one without the windscreen?
Very well done , good job

THats the only reason it's over priced.

I feel like it's overpriced because of the styling but i guess looking good has it's price tag.

Full faced helmet will not fit under the seat. 42L topcase is a must. 40MPG with 2 gallon tank.

Can you fit a full face under the seat? MPG?

Highway legal in most states if not all. 280cc. I've only gone 50MPH on one, but I can tell you it was fine at 50MPH.

To open the seat you push in the seat lock button next to the leg sheild. To open the glove box you push in the ignition.
kb3gjp123 1 year ago
to open the glove box i think you push the ignition in just like you pust the button to open the seat.

You can't compare to a fast 500cc or bigger bike, but yea it's much faster then a 50cc and goes up to at least 30 in a few seconds.

barnett682 1 year ago
Immobilizer comes standard. Alarm system is an accessory.
kb3gjp123 1 year ago
Hi, does it have an immobilizer / alarm as standard on this model? I'm looking to buy this model myself. Thanks
starchamberS 1 year ago
If your going by your speedometer it's not accurate. 200CC should go about 70MPH or a little faster.
kb3gjp123 1 year ago
85MPH Top speed?
Pretty lame for a big fuel infected engine.
Same as my GT 200 which makes do with a carby and 198cc.

Since I posted this I figured out how to open the glove box. Also the 250 has a digital speedometer.
kb3gjp123 2 years ago
Correction, the speedometer is analogue, all the other instruments (clock, temp, engine temp, rev counter, petrol gauge, trip/odo are digital.
