But It always irked me when people personify evolution.

Why didn't evolution "give" people wings.

Now I have this guy doing the same to software. I'd like to be more specific than "software" but you can run with his line of logic a long way.

While yes it's helpful by allowing people to easily wrap there heads around a subject.Non of the above are sentient beings. & Alluding to it = sigh!

They are no sentients but neither are they simply "how the world works".

It's different from say "the tornado comes to punish people". The tornado comes no matter what people did. A bot, on the other hand, notify the authority to interrogate you *because* of something you've said.

What difference does sentience make if it's an agent actively collecting data about you and producing consequences on you? It's more dangerous. Give it a gun and you literally get a killing machine.
