What Puerto Ricans need to realize is that the USA government never had the intention of giving them full political rights. Puerto rico is part of the unites states and are american citizens, and have fought in every american conflict since the korean war( when we became citizens, simply to be drafted), and countinue to join the army in high numbers for our population which is only about 4 million.

Ok! Puerto Rico is annexed to the U.S. about one century. That's why are American citizen, that's why speak two language and too many things about the U.S.Many years ago P.R. were a colony of Spain about 350 years. Then came United States to conquer the island from Spain for many reasons. That's part of the U.S.& P.R. history and It's not finished, because the status of Puerto Rico is not concluded.
