@MrBeaumatoo That's not a '52 Chevy. The '51 and '52s had rear fenders that were weld onto the body. The '49 and '50 models look similar but the rear fenders were bolted on. In the picture you can see the chrome fender welting were the fender meets the body. I had a '52 two door, and it was a cool car. I really like the ending of this song too.

I also like the way Ronnie Milsap integrated parts of this song into his 1985 hit, "Lost In The Fifties Tonight (In The Still Of The Night)." It's another 50's gem that's timeless in my mind.
A true classic. There was a DJ on little station outside Pgh. Pa. (Terry Lee with the "TL Sound, Music for Young Lovers." Wow! What memories. Can't tell how many times I heard this one on his show..
I believe the DJ you are referring to was none other than Terry Lee Marolt. I knew him well but not until after he had been a DJ. The station may have originated from Latrobe, Pa. Call letters may have been WTQW. I do know that later in his life he became a local politician but hosted a Saturday morning program called "The Commish and Company" which featured this kind of music. Sadly Terry passed away a little over three or four years ago. Rest in peace Terry.
Terry Lee was the man's name. The station was WMCK in McKeesport Pa. 1360 AM I used to ride the bus with his mother when I worked in Pittsburgh. Sorry I can't remember her name. McKeesport is about 15 miles outside Pgh. on the Yougioheny River.
O K, thank you for the correction. There apparently was another DJ(the one I mentioned) who had the same moniker. Strange they both were DJ'S here in the area.
This song (for you youngsters) is the all-time #1 most popular doowop classic. Was my favorite for so many years, but I think I've played it to death now.
good stuff
