I'm not really a big Lenzi fan. I think he abuses the zoom technique. Honestly, I think all italians abuse the zoom, excluding Leone, who was the fucking master of the zoom. I can handle the abuse of the zoom to an extent, I love italian films, but I think Lenzi just goes a little overboard. Plus Cannibal Ferox was nothing but a shitty rip off of Cannibal Holocaust.

@eraserheadtoker Cannibal Holocaust wasn't the first italian cannibal film. All these films copy each other but it doesn't means Cannibal Ferox was a bad cannibal movie. Plus, Lenzi was the creator of that sub-genere, "Il Paese Del Sesso Selvaggio" was the first italian cannibal film and he directed it.

Ma il sig Razorbacco ha visto il film? Oppure si limita a esprimere pareri sul trailer. Quando mai nel film viene ripetuta più volte la parola "spasmo"? Ricordiamo che il "grande" cinema americano di oggi ma anche dell' epoca è fortemente debitore del talento di Umberto lenzi.

Caro mio questi film "han fatto scuola" solo per gli esteti del cinema "trash" (spazzatura) che dopo averli visti magari si fanno due risate alla faccia nostra (chi é Umberto Lenzi?).... Ovvio che con la crisi di idee che che hanno i registi di film horror possono prendere qualche spunto da uno che ripete la parola "spasmo" all'infinito. L'unico spasmo é quello del mio stomaco nel senso che film del genere spesso fanno cagare.

meglio 100 films di Lenzi che un cinepanettone. Tra l'altro, perché bisogna spendere cifre per la solita cazzata di natale invece di utilizzarli per giovani registi con vere idee creative? Lenzi faceva film con 5 lire, come Ed Wood omaggiato da Tim Burton

I finally got to see this just the other day. It wasn't as awesome as the trailer led me to think it might be, it was actually a very tame Giallo.

Assuming you've seen Argento's best stuff...I recommend 'The Black Belly of the Tarantula', 'The House With Laughing Windows', 'What Have You Done to Solange?', 'Short Night of Glass Dolls', 'A Lizard in a Woman's Skin', 'Don't Torture a Duckling', and 'All the Colors of the Dark' for starters. There are a couple of other classic films by Sergio Martino but they're extremely expensive on dvd, so stick to those I've listed ( : ) )
