Oganesian was a good little mid-fielder. Too bad he was playing in the 80s during the time of the Soviet Union. He could have made a real impact in Europe. I could totally see him playing for Barcelona. PS Armenia didn't have a team in the 80s.

Armenian soccer, actually, peaked in the 70s when Ararat won a very competitive USSR league championship and the USSR Cup in 1973. Ararat was only average in the 80s, although it still had some very technically gifted players, like Gamlet A. Mkhitaryan
