  • I love how shes conducting people like 20 years older than her or 10 idk but thats soo cute lol and why cant these days tv shows be like this?

  • omg, I love her dress.... I want to make one for myself... But... maby with a slightly longer skirt.... and applgique croshet flowers =D

  • J ADORE JE PLEUR CHAQUE FOIS QUE JE LA REGARDE

  • come and get your talking lisp

  • Young Shirley IS someone who paid a lot of income tax in her day.

  • I love this !! Shirley Temple is so cute & the music & filming is dreamy !!! the Greatest multi talented child actress of all time & very dearly loved screen & radio Legend of the 1930's!!

BRING BACK THE GOOD OLD DAYS:)

  • I was always so drawn to Shirley Temple as a young baby, to a child, and now I'm 15; I realize she was America's perfect child.

  • isnt she rich?.....

  • i like how she saves the little pig and her step dad henry gets whacked with loose wooden board on aunt mirandas walkway

  • lady tip tap

  • Supporting actress Helen Westley, 1875-1942. Mean character actress in several Shirley Temple pictures.

  • she is the embodiment of why I find children to be amazing

  • I love this songs gets better mood

  • She was quite a find, something of a miracle kid in any age, with all her talent, poise & confidence on stage. A very remarkable beautiful child!

  • 0 dislikes, if you disliked Shirley Temple you'd probably be banished to hell.

  • @etillson - One imbecile scored a dislike.

  • oh I love this song ..it´s so sweet :) what a lovely song ..

    really nice

  • 'What's a million more or less...come and get your happiness.' What great lyrics for the Great Depression and for this economy. We need a Shirley Temple to get us through...thanks for sharing this lovely clip! It was funny how she danced with George Murphy and they both ended up in politics. She was a great ambassador...as a child and an adult. We love you, Shirley!

  • a living doll

  • The music is so gay (by the old usage) yet it's not really dated at all. We've just gotten all the more vulgar and violent and we make excuses for our behavior. If you want to solve problems, get informed--read and listen to the real news--and form opinions, and learn to defend them.

  • I'm Proud to Say My Last Name is Shirley :D

  • Such small dimples rare people will have. I only saw one or two people having them.:) So cute. :) But even this cute and good, also not happy in her private marriage life, so, we know, in our life time, the unhappy time will occupy our most times. :) Just take it easy. :)

  • Such small dimples rare people will have. I only saw one or two people having them.:)

  • I always like her amazing little dimples, I have a classmate in little also has a pair of this and also looks as cute as her. It is very rare though. Many people have big ones. :)

  • This is true talent shown here. We just don't see it anymore. The song is reflective of the desparate economic times our country was in at the time thanks to Herbert Hoover and the Republican Party. Gee, we are facing similar problems today. Barack Obama and the Democrats are trying to improve things for the middle class and the unemployed and today, just like then, the Republicans in callously and mean-spiritedness are trying to undermine our President and the Democratic party .

  • her smile. she's breathtaking..

  • She's Priceless!!!

  • this is one of my favorite Shirley Temple movies.

  • Her hair looks so cute, I will make that style when have enough time and mood. She is so intelligent and I wish I will have a daughter like her, or a son like her then. :) The secret to create a children star is : let the children perform , but not limit or critical them even one time, or , put any of them or adult down . :) Always trust and love them, and love can hide a lot mistakes. See how cute and success she is! I was put off a lot times by parents and my teachers, and know the pain .

  • i like how her hair looks

  • I'm always just stunned by the talent this little girl had- nothing like her since. Real, genuine talent, not computer enhanced or stop action video- just hard work, natural ability and a real trouper. And a fine human being for all her life is my understanding.

Was she happy, do you think? As a child? Certainly she's given generations a great deal of enjoyment. I hope she has happy memories of it all. My love to you, Shirley. Then and now, for the great lady that you are.

  • I love the "income debt" part and the little laugh she does <3 so cute!

  • All the child entertainers of today cannot match the talent of Shirley Temple. She was always so happy and cheerful in her films. It gives you a little lift to your mood when you watch her or hear her sing. Today, society forces young girls to grow up much too quickly. They rarely get a chance to just be kids and enjoy themselves without worrying about money or popularity. If only there would be another Shirley Temple to guide them in the right direction...

  • Great job w/remaster/color... fresh new look, you even get to appreciate the costume and set designs.

  • Those back up singers crack me up

  • @rubytuesdaygypsy lmbo why are they so funny

  • @luviindream They're just so perky... I dunno

  • @rubytuesdaygypsy i just find it odd that they are back up singers to a kid, but hey shirley temple was awesome

  • Magnificent! A+++

  • love love her dress and hair!

  • @ihgrayful ikr i love her dress i would totally wear it

  • Thumb up my comment if you agree that you'll listen to this instead of Justin Bieber.

  • @blakegriplingph I'd rather listen to paint dry than listen to Justin Bieber. . .X-(

  • @CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN I know that's right! Justin Bieber is the worst child singer I have ever heard in my life! He sounds like a little pansy. I get a kick out of that- listening to paint dry :D. Too funny!

  • @CxHxRxIxSxTxIxAxN LMBO listen to paint dry??

  • @blakegriplingph Even if you diss him, you're still saying his name. Just quit saying it and people won't pay him any mind

  • @blakegriplingph Just made my day. :')

  • @blakegriplingph I'll vomit on jb's face if i need to. I'm gonna watch this nomatter what!

  • This is one of my favourite costumes featured in a Shirley Temple film. That and Curly Top.

  • This track just played on my CD player almost at the exact moment I opened this delightful clip. How peculiar.

  • great song too

  • Besides kids today at 6 years old sound more like theyre trying to be older and have a pagent-y kind of voice... but shirley's was natural and cute instead of forced (no offense to anyone in beauty pagents or anything)

  • kids these days are growing up faster than they should unlike in the 30s. i blame it on the 90s.

  • And also Bratz as well as Hannah *cough* Montana.

  • I totally agree

  • @littlemissshirleyluv Don't blame it on the 90s. I LOVED Shirley Temple back in the day. Blame it on the 2000's that's where the shit happened.

  • If we are to ever clone a human , it should be Shirley at around 6 years of age so that a new generation can share the joy she has brought to so many.

  • @gihigugmataka: if there were to be Shirley Temple among today's music and such, she would never be the same. you can't expect the same wonderful performance with something like today's music coming from that TV

  • Isn't that the truth!. The holesomeness and innocence of yesteryear is gone forever.

  • @gihigugmataka Oh gosh - re: a clone of Shirley - can you imagine the movies they'd make today though --look at the films popular kid stars are making. I guess the closest thing in the past 10 or 12 years was Dakota Fanning--and most of her stuff was horror & suspense even as a very young child....and stuff like Hound Dog.... Shirley was born for her generation; for that I'm grateful! And grateful we have such decent, clean cute movies that still survive today!

  • I liked the fact that Legend Films did an ace job at remastering Shirley's songs. The audio's fixed in a way that it was as if Shirley recorded it fairly recently.

  • I wonder if I was Shirley herself who saw about the remastering of her videos or if it was 20th Century Fox. I think I heard somewhere that Shirley was responsible for the VHS release, but I'm not sure about the DVD's.

  • Hi Sarah, great channel! Shirley worked closely with Legend Films on the re-release of her films on DVD. I'm not usually a fan of colorization, but I have to admit, Legend did an AMAZING job!

  • @TheManhattanThrush Thank you! How do you know Shirley worked with Legend Films? How did they get cooperation from 20th Century Fox?

  • @TheManhattanThrush Thank you! How do you know Shirley worked with Legend Films? How did they get cooperation from 20th Century Fox? Would love to hear back from you regarding this. :)

  • @sarahluvsshirley Hi! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you! On both Shirley's official site, and on the Legend Films site, they mention working with Shirley. Keep up the great work!

  • @sarahluvsshirley - I heard that she did, AFAIK.

  • @blakegriplingph MY GOODNESS SHE WAS PRETTY

  • I love this!..i want this movie so bad:), i just wanna know every single shirley song. I love this so much :)

    <3 Shirley Temple <3

  • God gave her an amazing talent to share with the world! and she did just that!

so much talent even when she was young!

  • This is my favorite song by Shirley Temple

  • I think this is my favorite song by Shirley Temple

  • the actresses from the past are much much better than actresses now...(in my own opinion)

    NO OFFENSE.

  • @16iloveit I agree! The actresses of today are nowhere near as glamorous or majestic as those of yesteryear. For one thing, they cover their bodies in piercings and tattoos, and another thing, they seem as if they tried a lot harder to entertain their audience. Most of all, they are just so much more ladylike and sophistocated than those of today.

  • @16iloveit I agree! The actresses of today are just not memorable or glamorous like those of the past. Today, they make themselves ugly by way of tattoos and piercings. They are just not very ladylike or sophisticated like the ones of yesteryear. If nothing else, they are pretty depressing.

  • i grew up watching her, i will never grow out of loving and admiring her work. She is so adorable.

  • she is good

  • this is good a lot of people forgot about her but she is god

  • shes awsome

  • mhh...how could it be that his song always makes me happy?! ;-) lol. love you shirley =)
