i think he's just using the MIDI instruments as an example, just pretending they're audio files that can't be quantized with a click of a button so he can show how its done. but yeah if this wasn't for teaching purposes, Q

FYI... i know the bass is midi...imagine that its audio and you can't easily quantize.
