Many would consider Ghost in the Invisible Bikini (1966) as the last of the AIP Beach Party genre despite the lack of beaches. Some say Fireball 500 (1966) and Thunder Alley (1967) since some of the earlier films had already introduced racing. Each film strayed further away from the themes, the characters and the actors. By 1968 even the copy cat producers stopped making these.
My favorite of all of Donna's songs.

Those guitar riffs were pretty cutting edge for 1965. Donna always sounds great.

I'm so glad you put this up. I've heard about this song from this film, but I have never seen Sgt. Deadhead.
Donna is a lot more mature sounding here than she was in the beach films. This is a great song. It's also the sexiest I've seen from Donna.
From what I've heard, Sgt. Deadhead was a terrible movie, I'll bet this was the best part of it.

Bless you Swingin60s guy! This is one of Donna's best on film. A genuine, all out torch song .... in a beach movie yet! Thanks so much for posting.
