the truth is this, Yes David was the voice,BUT Dennis was and still isn't no slouch!! And Ron was playing percussion and writing for the Temptations when they got signed to Atlantic records. Now Ron was no Eddie, but then he's not supposed to be. Ron, just like Damon Harris and Glen Leonard held their own. So it's all good. Each Temptation played their part. So we will always see Otis, Melvin, David (who replaced Al), Paul, and Eddie as the Best Temptations.

Actually, Ball of Confusion came out in 1970 when the group consisted of four of the original members and Dennis Edwards who replaced David Ruffin. Ruffin wasn't an original member either though.
