because it is the collective voice of all people

thus after that REFERENDUM Ukraine became as NEUTRAL as Switzerland.

and before dragging Ukraine into the NATO try to drag Switzerland there

The Germans and French are largely motivated by a self-interested desire to keep American influence out of Europe. As far as they are concerned, NATO became obsolete with the collapse of the USSR, and they just want to keep expanding their domination of Europe through their corporations and the EU institutions.

anything is better than US influence. As can be seen American leaders only want allies to pursue their own agendas. They don't really care crap for the well-being of french, germans, or any other ally for that matter. Having 'allies' just keeps their 'enemies' at bay much better (and gives them (false)legistlation to their outrageous actions worldwide.
