  • goulash :) always good :) travelers, do not forget to have fishermen soup, bean soup, goose liver and stuffed cabbage if you are in Budapest ..... all are equally good.

  • Csak a lenyeg maradt ki ebbol a videobol...hogy milyen fuszerek mennek bele...nem elhanyagolhato egy kulfoldi szempontjabol!

  • do not put water on it..

  • @RENEDU2 stupid

  • @Compantino

    no need for insults..

  • Looks great!

  • Gulash like some other Hungarian dishes evolved to be prepared by herdsmen or fishermen using very simple technology. What they had was plenty of time, spices, a single kettle, open fire and patience. Actually, cooking was left to the young underdog. Quite amazing that our young species has been so interested in experimenting with such a variety of food everywhre on our planet.

I am Hungarian, I do love Hungarian food, but I am not proud of it, simply imprinted to it :-)

  • Please stop this, this is awful! :D :D

  • I'm italian and I like and respect hungarian food. ungarian is totally different by italian one. The dishes are characterised by strong and intense flavours spiced and sour-vinegary

  • why the world is full of Italian restaurants and not of hungayian ones?

  • cause the italian mafia needed some cover!

  • Commentar is annoying

  • One of the best food in the world. Traditional hungarian dish. I love it. I am a proud hungarian.

    Foreigners! Good appetite for you

  • i have to say something important i am my self a chef in the Belgium Army ,but my mother is hungarienne ,it is very impotant only to use hungarienne prakrika ,my experience i have tired with other praprika from other countrys and its not the same (Szeged praprika or kalochai praprika )

  • Kalocsai is the best in my opinion

  • Easy recipe? I don't think so.

When the video starts the meat is already in the pot with "spices"...we don't know how much meat, what spices, how much, etc...

Nice how the chef licks the same spoon he is stirring the pot with!

  • this is the 3. small film how to cook gulyás.

and nothing will happen if he licks the spoon...

  • Hello bryan,

Your criticisms are right on. This is a cooking video that leaves out mention of ingredients and preparation. This is one of the greatest dishes around, but youtube is in need of a better prepared cooking video on how to make gulyas! Also, I can't stand to hear two voices speaking at the same time.

  • 1. Very easy.

1 kilo beef, 1 big onion chopped, black pepper whole cca. 15-20pcs, salt., Hungarian paprika (red pepper), 1 spf cumin, ?garlic

Heat some sunfl. oil (5 spfl) and stew some chopped onion( 2 min). Put in the cubed meat, stew a little, remove from gas, and stir with paprika powder( 2spfl). Pour water just to cover. Slow cooking! When boiling add salt, cumin, and 1 clv. garlic.

  • 2.

Cook untill meat is cooked. Don't forget to supply water, when vaporized (alw. just to cover) Good try. Serve it with boiled potatoes.

Or you can cook it as a soup, with more amount of water.

  • 3.Yes, important! When salt added , dont forget to put 1-2 carrots cubed, and petersilly root and leaves half a handful and cubed potatoes- if it is the soup version.

  • @777Jubilee153

not cumin!!!!! caraway seed! it is whole different flavor!
