in 1982 when i was a kid (5yrs) my dad used to run a honky tonk called the hay loft in lubbock, tx. one night he brought home two guys and indroduced them to me as red stegall and johhny gimble. he told me they were going to have to stay for the night and they were going to sleep in my room. i remember being really unhappy about that until mr. gimble took out his fiddle and played me some songs. i had know idea how lucky i was to experience that until years and years later.

Bobby Flores is one of the most complete artist I have ever met in Texas,he produces,plays steel,plays the piano but most of all he has an excellent voice!I loe his cd's and he is very friendly modest man.

I saw Red perform this song last year when he was inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall Of Fame at Carthage Texas. He rocked the house. Trail songs, cowboy poetry or western swing, large hall or small the man really puts on a show.

Red has so many songs that we could not list them here. He is such a nice man also. I met him in Pampa, Texas at a rodeo dance back in 1979 and he was just great to be around. He was smart and funny. I love listening to him on his radio talk show.
