  • finally! a video that i understand! Thank you SOOO much for the subtitles and the slow motion, it has definitely helped me to learn how to crochet!

  • I love this! I've gone to my teacher everyday to learn crochet but I can't learn it; until I watched your video!

this helped me a lot :))

  • @PMSumaira I am thrilled that you are learning how to crochet.

  • you are such a good tutor, ive been asked to produce a certain italian toy man and dragon and can only find crochet patterns so am learning for a good cause and you just make it easy to learn thankyou.x

  • @chapt100 Thank you very much.

  • Thankyouthankyouthankyou! I have been trying to learn to crochet for years and just couldn't find the right book/video to make it make sense. Followed this one, and BAM! Loved the explanation and then the slow motion for enough stitches for me to watch and not have to keep rewinding the video over and over.

  • the only video i trust and i very much enjoy

  • Oh finally! I have a couple of excellent books with good pics but couldn't figure out what I was doing differently.....two loops in the top of the chain....makes all the difference! Thanks!!!!

  • I have just started to learn how to crochet and have been looking through many videos on youtube, this one is by far the best. Now I know the basics. Thanks =0)

  • grazie del bellissimo video ho imparato molte cose che non sapevo mi fa molto piacere vedere queste cose molto interessanti .........

  • Thank you so much for making videos!!! My big sister crochets thanks to you!! and now i wanted to learn so she recommended you ^-^ thanks! you just made crochets so much easier :D

  • Thank you SO MUCH for this video! Every book I've found and most of the other YouTube videos are too far away or entirely too vague. Theirs just tell you to push the hook through without telling you where or if you're picking up one loop or two or (heck) twenty... yours is the ONE that actually showed and explained which loop or loops you're going through and how to end a row and turn. Beginners, THIS IS THE VIDEO you're looking for!!!

  • i am 9 years old and i was trying to make a hat but no one could show me how to do it that good thank you

  • awesome i got this part down!

  • Oh...My...Gosh your nail polish is so pretty!!! I just needed a reminder on what to do, and you were very precise and helpful. Thanks :D

  • @1001001011011001 i like your nail polish too

    sssssssssssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooo cute

  • It looks so nice, loose and even on your tutorial, mine is thighter... but - practice makes perfect, right? :D

Will try with bulkier thread and with different hooks.

Thanks for tutorials, they are realy easy to follow!

  • does it matter which side you turn???

  • @taylorswiftfanmay The direction does not make much difference in turning. You will become accustomed to a direction one day and not notice how you turn. Either direction is correct.

  • You are so total Awesome...!!!!! I've been wanting to learn for years I bought a book but was at loss at what they were saying..

Thanks to you I've made my very first scarf with the single stitch...

Thank you Than you again for doing this now I'm off to watch your other Video's can't wait to show my family what I've learned I'm so excited..

    Linda H

  • @angeldreamer599 Thank you Linda! It is great to hear your success.

  • Just started learning how to crochet and I have to say that u are the best tutorial I've found, thank u sooooo much!!!

  • YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU are sooo amazing thank you! after hours of watching videos and reading through books you helped me in 10 minutes!

  • Thanks you are the BEST like many other comments I too can do the stitches without thinking but when I tried making a scarf something was missing and I knew it after watching video after video not one showed or said chain up one before turning chain for next row just made a scarf for my daughter in about 45 minutes ( not bad for a beginner lol) and your chain up was my missing link thank you so very much for those 3 little words "chain up one "

  • @lassieleaguemom1 I am glad you got it figured out.

  • I have watched video after video after video, but this one was the best! You really helped! Also I am a beginner so all the other videos were really confusing! You really helped!!!!!! Thanks :)

  • @brittanyballengee I am thrilled you are learning how to crochet.

  • What size needle do you use? I want to make a scarf but font know what size needle to use

  • @stephebunny I was using a very large crochet hook, size N.

  • What do I do after I'm done??

(Sorry, I have no idea.... xD)

  • Thank you for making this video! You made it very easy to understand and I appreciate you doing it slowly. Your video is one of the few that's very clear to follow. Thanks again :)!

  • these tutorials are aweomse! they're calmed, easy and very clear. Thank you a lot (:

  • Thank you! I'm a fan already! I started a sc baby blanket 5 weeks ago (before I found you) and I almost have it the size I want it, but I have some VERY messed up ends, slanted up in parts, down in parts, and just all together crooked. Is there any way I can fix it without having to start over? And again thanks for your channels, I am amazed!

  • u go to fast

  • THANKS! The only clear and easy video I could find that worked for me. Awesome :D

  • @gorditaflo You are welcome. I appreciate the comment.

  • Thank you so much! I was just about to give up on this because every other video went so fast and you could barely see what they were even doing. Your instructions made it so much easier and I am finally getting the hang of it. Thank you :)

  • OK so let's say I chain 12 and start sc back down the chain. The loop that is on the hook counts as 1 chain, and thus the stitch next to it is 2? Do I have that correct? I think I've been counting my chain stiches wrong.

  • @episcored The chain 1 does not count as the first stitch. Make sure you count on each row because it is easy to miss and drop stitches on the edges.

  • Hi, your video saved me from giving up! I love how easy you made it. I will be back to study more of your videos and subscribe!! God Bless you!!

  • EXCELLENT TUTORIAL, THANKS

  • Teresa hun thank you so much this has brought me so much joy!!!

  • @ColorMeAHeart17 You are welcome! :)

  • Hi Teresa, I have a question ... decreases as I could tell me or maybe you already have a video uploaded thanks for the reply greetings from peru bye bye

  • YAY! this helped me out sooo much :D

  • I am a little confused, don't we go to the 2nd chain from hook for the single crochet?

  • @nadaibrahim77 I am working through the second chain from the hook. If you are talking about the actual loops of the chain, you can go below one loop or two loops. It is up to you. I have primarily gone below one loop.

  • You are AWESOME!! I was having sooooo much trouble trying to learn how to crochet and you made it look so easy. I finally can do it!! Thank you :o)

  • @azzianeyezz Yes I do, it is on my other channel. I will send you the link to the video.

  • you are awesome i have totally taught myself how to crochet just from watching your videos. i am really gratefull. i have been practicing practicing and more practicing. hopefully i can learn all the mumbo jumbo and actually make something. thanks

  • @missysilva33 You will learn it all along the way as you practice. Thank you!

  • Hi @crochet

Thank you for you video...I have a question , you said to count ... when do we start counting, is it when we first do the first row or is it when the second single crochet row is done..?? And I don't know if it just me , but I don't understand how to read a pattern , is there a place I can learn all of the abbreviations that they use like the ; Ch 1 , Ss in the first sc, or hdc , dc , sp , Tr3tog , mds..I need some help please..!!!

How do you know witch is the front and the back??

  • @tashabigstar You start counting on the first row and each row there after so you have an accurate count. I do have the crochet abbreviations posted on my crochet blog. You will find a link to my blog in the video details below the video.

  • @crochet Thank you again...I'll go look at your blog in a bit....!! Puting my kids to bed and after it mommy time...this is when I have time to practice crochet :)

  • wow the most comprehensive crochet tutorial I've ever watched! Thank u

  • @LEMONTREE94 You are welcome!

  • nice tutorial but i think i made the single stich or jus a bunch of jumbled crap i followed the steps pefectly ugh so mad

  • @MC64314 Keep practicing and you will get it. I had to practice a lot when I was first learning. My stitches were terrible and uneven. I had big holes. It is part of the learning process.

  • @crochet how do u end it? plz reply back

  • @csanchez24209 You will cut a longer length of yarn, then pull the yarn through the hook.

  • @crochet do you have a video on how to end?

  • i love your videos i will reccommend to my sisters, cousins and everyone i find who's a beginner and wants to learn stress free!!! thanks so much for your patience with us newbies, and the "dumb" mistakes we make not knowing. i finally feel like i know what i'm doing !great post all your vids are in my favorites! thank you so much!

  • Thank you so much for this, I'm literally just learning how to crochet after years of knitting so I find this really difficult, but your tutorials are very easy to follow. :)

  • @Stephrosyne Keep practicing and don't let yourself get frustrated! Thank you for the comment!

  • hello I am in love with you hi top baby booties but as I watched I see you do a decress in the rows and I just noticed that I was not doing it right but I cant tell what hole you are putting the yarn in on the secound part to get it right. I had been putting in the same hole as the half double crochet. Can you help me out? Thanks Sandy

  • @want4onlyone There are two loops at the top of each stitch. You insert your hook below the two loops.

  • it is so nicely explained.......you ecplain really good...

  • @asmaMs20 Thank you very much! :)

  • very nice! mine always has a line going though yours dont

  • @1965blaze By any chance are you going through the front loop or back loop only? Going through only one of the loops will give you a line.

  • @crochet i go through both front and back which are you suppose to go through

  • @crochet i go through both the front and back what is the correct way? cause yours looks very differant then mine lol

  • thank you for doing this

  • @shelley20004 You are welcome.
