  • Hey guys.. try downloading FLASH Fire SSD if you don't want to drop $ on the SSD

    It's the--->>>vvvv

(SSD accelerator (FlashFire09c)... It will SPEED UP your HP mini's crap 16 GB HD. Of course this is only if you don't want to use the SSD in the video or spend the cash. Obviously the real SSD is a better upgrade. Hope this helped someone...You WILL notice things sped up

    thanks for the video jkkmobile

  • Whats a really cheap alternative to the original 1.8 drive inch drive..... And quick and easy mods?

  • how many gigabytes the Runcore 1.8 inch has? my HDD was Toshiba MK6028GAL Hard Disk Drive was damaged, i need to replace it with a new one..my Toshiba has 60 gigabytes of storage, need your thoughts a.s.a.p, and i need to reinstall my OS via bootable USB...thanks

  • what's the cable called, the one from HDD to motherboard please ?

is it an IDE??? i ripped it apart accidentaly, and I need replacement .

can u send a message to my account please :)

    thanks a mill

  • @Aboodyksa it is called zif cable for 1.8 inch hdd

  • I bought a Runcore 32G-C based on your reviews, JKK, for my HP Mini 1000. It was absolutely one of the best upgrades that could have been made. It is ultra fast. 4k random write is pretty insanely fast. Thanks for the reviews and information. BTW the version I received was a bare circuit board so I didnt need to rip out the proprietary HP USB thingy (though I dont use it anyway). Thanks for the review. Another thing, Win7 boots lightning faster than XP on the 1000 with that Runcore.

  • I have an Hp mini 1035nr and my hard drive just died. What kind of hard drive do i need? and where can I get it from? very good video guy. learned alot....

  • @gr8wunz Why can't you just buy a Notebook. instead of a stupid netbook.

  • @YoungMoney835 Cause it cost me 10 bucks, fixed it and sold it for 175.00

  • another stellar review!

  • I just bought one of these for my Mini 1000. It took me hours to connect until I figured out that the SSD goes in with the Runcore logo facing down, deceptive as the ZIF cable is inserted facing down when connecting to the USB adapter and facing up when connecting to the netbook.

  • Sorry, he may have mentioned it, but is he using the 64gb drive?

    Thanks

  • I'm not sure if he mentions the size of the SSD, but the size won't affect the speed. You should get this performance whether you use the 16, the 120, or anything in between.

  • this was a really big help. thank you

  • is there a phone to ethernet converter my grandparents still have dile up so igw2n

  • jkk what size is this SSD you installed? cause im thinking about just going all out and getting the 128GB SSD.

  • solid state disk

  • Can anyone help? When my hp mini boots up, it "chugs" when the windows icon pops up. The screen gradually gets brighter over about 6 seconds until it finally the progress bar runs under it. Any advice?

  • What OS did you installed on this?

  • im not sure if i missed something, but how many gigs is the SSD you installed?

  • x2, I'm interested on how much more space you will gain, I'm already sold that it will make it run faster. I have a 1030nr to do this upgrade, 1GB ram, 16GB ssd

  • does it have an ethernet port?

  • ya i think it's on the left side

  • wireless internet connection

  • Comment removed

  • where can i get this runcore ssd? my stock 16gb ssd is so damn slow.

  • Great upgrade! much faster speeds with this. Can't wait to get my HP Mini 1000.

  • i am just gettin the HP MINI 1000 32GB SSD and maby get more later but the 32GB SSD will serve me well for a while :)

  • can you install a ssd on the hhd version, so you have both drives on the netbook?

  • If you foolishly manage to snap the small piece of plastic that holds the keyboard ribbon cable in place, you can replace this with a small piece of fishing line :P

(Better than trying to convince shop that i did not break it...)

  • Can this be done on a Mini system with a HHD? I'm looking to switch my platter drive with a Solid State, like this here Runcore =-)

  • Does the SSD Drive need to be ZIF and if so I can only find RunCore that provides these drives are there any alternatives?

  • Does anyone know if a standard 1.8in could fit in there and use the same connector? Toshiba has a 250gb+ 1.8in

Installing that in the 60gb or SSD model would be a good thing or wait for the 128gb+ SSD to come down in price.

  • I adore small and beautiful laptops!

  • im on my hp mini 1000 and i love it. its better than my 800 dollar toshiba. its so good and fast and the way it looks is just amazing

  • Now I want one of these! Those graphs on jkkmobiledotcom of this system are awesome! Did you say in this video that you're replacing the original SSD? I thought those Mini 1000's came with standard hard-drives. Please, reply back. Thanks!

  • Can you post the physical dimensions of the 1.8 drive. Thx!

  • you speak english like us =) (finns) =)

  • I'm pretty sure he is Finnish..

  • =) maybe

  • i think hes eastern european...

    cool dude :)

  • i think i remember that he really is finnish^^ i think he once told me in a comment

  • Really, holy crap, it boots up faster than my T7500/4GB laptop comes out of the stand-by (and it has a 7.200RPM HDD) o_0

And I'm not even talking about the RunCore SDD...

  • You're back!!!

  • damn it jkk, you make me want to get a umpc or netbook. Even though I don't need one, maybe I need one.....

  • go, go go, buy one! ;)

  • Where can you get the 1.8 inch runcore SSD? I'm sold. Thats awesome.

  • He already made me buy an EEE. I'm now trying to find ways to use it, becase I didn't really have any when I bought it. xD
