Hey guys.. try downloading FLASH Fire SSD if you don't want to drop $ on the SSD
It's the--->>>vvvv
(SSD accelerator (FlashFire09c)... It will SPEED UP your HP mini's crap 16 GB HD. Of course this is only if you don't want to use the SSD in the video or spend the cash. Obviously the real SSD is a better upgrade. Hope this helped someone...You WILL notice things sped up
how many gigabytes the Runcore 1.8 inch has? my HDD was Toshiba MK6028GAL Hard Disk Drive was damaged, i need to replace it with a new one..my Toshiba has 60 gigabytes of storage, need your thoughts a.s.a.p, and i need to reinstall my OS via bootable USB...thanks
I bought a Runcore 32G-C based on your reviews, JKK, for my HP Mini 1000. It was absolutely one of the best upgrades that could have been made. It is ultra fast. 4k random write is pretty insanely fast. Thanks for the reviews and information. BTW the version I received was a bare circuit board so I didnt need to rip out the proprietary HP USB thingy (though I dont use it anyway). Thanks for the review. Another thing, Win7 boots lightning faster than XP on the 1000 with that Runcore.
I have an Hp mini 1035nr and my hard drive just died. What kind of hard drive do i need? and where can I get it from? very good video guy. learned alot....
I just bought one of these for my Mini 1000. It took me hours to connect until I figured out that the SSD goes in with the Runcore logo facing down, deceptive as the ZIF cable is inserted facing down when connecting to the USB adapter and facing up when connecting to the netbook.
I'm not sure if he mentions the size of the SSD, but the size won't affect the speed. You should get this performance whether you use the 16, the 120, or anything in between.
Can anyone help? When my hp mini boots up, it "chugs" when the windows icon pops up. The screen gradually gets brighter over about 6 seconds until it finally the progress bar runs under it. Any advice?
x2, I'm interested on how much more space you will gain, I'm already sold that it will make it run faster. I have a 1030nr to do this upgrade, 1GB ram, 16GB ssd
If you foolishly manage to snap the small piece of plastic that holds the keyboard ribbon cable in place, you can replace this with a small piece of fishing line :P
(Better than trying to convince shop that i did not break it...)
Now I want one of these! Those graphs on jkkmobiledotcom of this system are awesome! Did you say in this video that you're replacing the original SSD? I thought those Mini 1000's came with standard hard-drives. Please, reply back. Thanks!

Can this be done on a Mini system with a HHD? I'm looking to switch my platter drive with a Solid State, like this here Runcore =-)
digitalcowboy00 2 years ago
Does the SSD Drive need to be ZIF and if so I can only find RunCore that provides these drives are there any alternatives?
FightMyMind 3 years ago
Does anyone know if a standard 1.8in could fit in there and use the same connector? Toshiba has a 250gb+ 1.8in
Installing that in the 60gb or SSD model would be a good thing or wait for the 128gb+ SSD to come down in price.
