Yah this performance of his is ok. I think he laughs to make it seem like he has no control over the puppet. :P Y'know the illusion of it all. The better one of his big dummy acts was at Just For Laughs (Montreal Comedy Fest) a while back. I see it on TV all the time, but no ones uploaded it, same material but much smoother.

dude, i have heard waaaaaaaaay better, with guys who do this, with guys who just get a real puppet, and i've even seen someone do a ventriliquist using THEMSELVES as the puppet! As crappy as that last one actually turned out, they were still better, because the people were actually good and talented. Check out any of the other ventrilisuits on the related videos list here.
