  • I really like this video. It exposes how amazingly effective corporate PR campaigns can be at furthering their agendas. They know how to appeal to people's egos (patriotism), distract them with conspiracy theories (birthers), pay regular Joe-looking people to become provocateurs of shouting and heckling at town halls and run media ads that demonize any movement that will result in diminishing the momentum of already skyrocketing corporate profits. We now have a nation of Corporatrons!

  • You are the status quo Mitch. "The open-minded reader should bear two clues in mind: monopoly capitalists are the bitter enemies of laissez-faire entrepreneurs; and, given the weaknesses of socialist central planning, the totalitarian socialist state is a perfect captive market for monopoly capitalists..."

  • Over the past year, as families and small business owners have struggled to pay soaring health care costs, and as millions of Americans lost their coverage, the five largest insurers made record profits of over $12 billion.

The American people deserve better than this.

President Obama has invited Democrats and Republicans to a bipartisan health care meeting next week.

Call your Senator and Representative and urge them to attend and work together to find a solution.

    American needs your help.

  • Dont you understand that when you people say "it's a right" that what you are really saying is "I'm a fool and want to hand my money to the jackass's that have the nerve to stand on stage and inform us that due to their "waste and inefficiencies" that if they take the time to clean it up, then they can charge you even more for mediocre care... Are you people that dumb? It builds a bigger mess and gives them job security... Gov was designed NOT to get things done...

    You are dumb ass sheep.

  • Japan presence operative now stay aoyama yokota. Michael schiffer and Wallace gregson[CIA-NOC(sabotage professional staff)]、and michael green[CSIS(shade practice force)]=puppet. CFR use japan tax squeeze after the war 60year. CFR is TRUE TERRORIST. Truth really talk 1995 Sarin gas attack on the tokyo subway affair Sarin gas make CIA.

  • Hey how did those town hall meetings turn out back in August?

And by the way, those crazy tea party people only took Massachusetts away from the Democrats...

  • @slamhogA10 we are just getting started

  • When politicians talk about health care "COSTS." they mean "PRICES." COSTS and PRICES are two different things.

We could control the PRICES (via price controls), but COSTS aren't going to change.

PRICE CONTROL is always a DISASTER.

  • Mitch, when it all goes bad...I can see you crying the loudest. Wait...it has already gone bad....you just are not intelligent enough to realize it. Yet.

  • I am a young American that lost everything due to an injury and becoming real sick. I went through over 400k of money. I never voted till last year because I believed in chnage. I now how formed the OFA Hampton Roads Community Organizing Team in Va and believe we need a change in health care. Remember before you speak negitive on this go around and speak to people that have been affected negitively before u make judgement. thanks David B. OFA Hampton Roads Community Organizing Team

  • It is theft to steal my tax dollars and use them to pay for healthcare for someone else, who is unwilling to work as hard. In fact, the Constitution was written to make sure that our government didn't do exactly what Obama is trying to do with his healthcare "reform". Wake up, America!

  • Who do you think is more corrupt, the insurance companies making outrageous profits off of a basic necessity we will pay anything to have--or the government, corrupt only because it is made up of humans? Are insurance companies really any less corrupt than the government?

"Don't trust anyone in the government" has become a slogan, just like "Don't trust anyone over 30" used to be, and it is equally ridiculous. How about this: Don't trust anyone who stands to profit from misleading you.

  • And you don't think the government does not stand to profit from healthcare reform? We will not only be forced to pay for APPROVED...you know....what the government thinks we should have....and then be told when we cannot have treatment.

  • Google "Fabian Socialism". Look familiar? I'm not a right wing extremist, nor a Republican. I'd like my kid to have a future and not be a debt slave to the Federal Reserve and their lap dogs ,our corrupt politicians. We deserve better than these self serving idiots and their hired propagandists. Your children deserve better. I understand compassion and concern for my fellow man,not the false hope that is history's largest pig trough. You'll only get the scraps that fall from their table.

  • Mitch.. you are indeed a tool.

Your "movement" will continue to lie and manipulate for the scraps given to you by this administration. Get off your knees, use your brain, and walk upright like the American man you claim to be.

Fabian Socialists are committing treason directly in front of us. You sell your soul for a place at his table? Entitlement = SLAVERY!

Quote by Thomas Jefferson: 'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.'

  • People these days in America have started again the personality cult following of the founders, ignoring the faults they had such as owning slaves and being for things that today would be unacceptable. We should honor our founders, while realizing that we need to move on to a future of social justice and progress.

  • The president is talking about eliminating the Medicare Advantage program, which makes sense. That program is basically the private industry stealing from the taxpayers.

  • Nacougar,

Too true! And what of the "almost" 10% unemployed???

They can't pay their bills.... but they'll get free health care?????

    Figure THAT one out!!!! LOL

  • YOU LIE!

  • Right on!

  • "Closer than ever" to socialism.

  • Liar.

  • Marvin the Martian wants you to shut up.

  • WHAT A JOKE!!

NOT A SINGLE FACT debunked. They Lie to us then tell us it's the Reds Fault for warning the American Public...

Where are your facts to set the record straight? Again you dodge the FACTS.

The Census Borough puts Illegals in the 47 Million number. You say we are in a crisis because of the 47Million uninsured and you are not going to insure Illegals...

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THEM BARACK? WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE ILLEGALS?

  • No one should go broke because he gets sick, and no one should die because he can not afford health care. If you believe this post it and send it to everyone you know including your Rep. and Sens. i

  • Thats a Bull-Shit slogan full of Fear Mongering.. The Democrats are killing people. Obama knows where waste is right now and instead of using it to help the sick, he spends it to get more power... Your're the brainwashed who cannot add ... If Obama would give us all back our 66.6% (two thirds) over taxation we wouldn't be in a Crisis would we? HIT THE PLAY BUTTON AGAIN and you figure out what FACT did they offer? ZERO

Thats when you know who is la liar... When they cannot defend their "facts"

  • I think health care is a right. I don't want agree with his military spending, but I do agree with him on health care.

  • You think it's a "right," but it isn't.

  • Think if you needed life-saving surgery or treatment and you happen to be an out-spoken critic of the President in power at the time, expect a long delay for your treatment or denial of your treatment under some alleged interpretation of the fine print by government lackeys. Perfect way to assassinate your critics without needing a high-powered rifle and silencer.

  • lies lies lies.you socialist the truth shall set you free

  • This man is right, we need health care reform. The DemPub debate is about retaining the status quo of job-based health care with its corporate socialized medicine and government sponsored profits or moving to government socialized health care. A better solution is to move to individualized medical care where individuals own and pay for their own medical care and medical care insurance. To do this the income-tax incentives that support corporate socialized medicine must be removed.

  • he claims all these outbursts were planned by right wing org. I dont belong to either group and want questions answered..How come ted kennedy intorduced obama to this country ?Did he know he was social communist?Obama was on the woods foundation for 3 years, with Bill Ayers, who formed the weathermen group. Go to your nearest library and get the book Prarie Fire, by Bill Ayers. It tells the organizations and their aim to bring down captilizim..I dont want a commie running this country

  • Watch The Obamadeception

  • This guys sounds like earnie from sesame street. Oh, and it is mostly independent conservatives. Nice try libs, but we got your number for the movement. We aren't goin without a fight. No big Govt programs, no more huge taxes, and um, oh yeah....elect responsible people to represent us.

  • Marvin the Martian actually.

  • I think it's funny that this guy is criticizing protesters when we can all remember those protests and signs against Bush. Somehow it's okay when it's against conservatives, but is totally out of line when someone protests a liberal agenda. What a hypocrite.

  • when the left was protesting the war or Bushs shit in general, when was it "ok" for Hannity or Oreilly?

cuz i remember them calling those protesters "un-american" and "loons"...while they call these protesters "real americans"

    talk about hypocrisy...

and as far as i remember...the protesters on the left werent having their events organized and funded by the Insurance, Pharm and Oil Industries front groups...

  • We already have socialized medicine. Half the people are on a Gov. plan. Government controls the system through laws and regulations that have benifited them and the industry at consumers expense. Gov. sets the prices for 1/2 the healthcare sector directly and indirectly the other have. They have done a lousy job of keep cost down. They have passed the laws that have cut competition that have driven up cost. Why would anyone want to give them more control?

  • hi help to spread the word here click on this to listen to mr obama world best top song 4 the world worst economical crisis

  • ahhh.............the victim thing

I wish I could get around in a private jet

"whenever" go shopping in France simply because I want to fly my jet all over on dates for pictures for shopping on someone elses dime

and then throw a pity party and claim to be a victim

oh, what a world, what a world

  • "18,000 Americans die each year from lack of healthcare"

    prove it.

  • I appreciate you wanting an honest conversation, perhaps you might start by creating an honest message.

  • Obama needs to grow some balls get more and get more tough on the GOP.

  • That is exactly right. Get as tough with the GOP as they were with the Dems when Bush ran the show, they just drove right over the Dems in both houses. The other thing we need to do is get tougher with the 'Bluedog' Dems and keep the Dems on one page, voting as a party just like the Repbulicans do.

  • The ugly side of America is using tactics of distortion, violence e intimidation.

The republicans, supremacist and the enemies of America want chaos, misery, and spread of deceases.

America knows who the ones who ruin the economy and elevated the premium of the health insurance.

  • no one can compete with an entity that has no requirement to be profitable in order to stay in business.

  • Private companies can be non-profit also. In fact, in my opinion, no medical insurance companies (public or private) should be for profit. Making money off of others' suffering is sick and amoral, especially when people left to die in order to protect that profit.

  • So, you want your insurance provider to be broke? I sure hope my insurance company is making a profit (preferrably a huge one). I wouldn't want to find out the company is broke just when I need them to pay on a claim I filed.

"people are left to die in order to protect that profit"?

Please give us proof of this.

  • You just proved that you have no idea what you are talking about. Economics and Accounting 101. The profit is by definition money that is not going to providing you health care. It is money that goes straight into the pockets of the CEO's and the Shareholders in the form of dividends. The bigger their profit , the more money they are taking from you and putting in their pockets. The smaller the profit the more money they are putting towards your care. You should want their profit to be small.

  • I know what profit is and I didn't say profit is used to pay insurance claims. 'Huge' is obviously a relative term. My point remains the same. When I need to file an insurance claim, I want to be confident that my insurance company is strong financially. This requires that the company be turning a solid profit. Larger profits do not necessarily mean money is being diverted from insurance coverage.

  • It doesn't require the company to turn any profit. Profit is wasted money when it comes to actually providing for coverage. The budget is what you want to look at when you are looking at the strength of the company. Do they have a large enough budget to cover the expenditures?

Say a company is taking a 40% profit, but their expenditures are 65% of the premiums coming in. In this system too many companies make up the 5% by cutting benefits, or expensive individuals, to protect their profit.

  • CG

You seem like an expert.. so tell me this....

Why should the American People believe that the government can run ONE SEVENTH of the economy (our health care).... when.. this administration can't even handle the "CASH FOR CLUNKERS" program?

Will doctors under obamer care have to do the same thing as the auto dealers? Take IOU's and hope to get paid one day????

And if a regular business handled their business this way, would they stay in business very long?

  • The Cash for Clunkers program is working better than they thought. Their only problem was not hiring enough people to process the forms. They have increased the workers on that program by 3x since then and it is working much smoother now. The other problem is the dealer's fault. They either fill the paper out wrong or the forms are incomplete. That is the dealer's incompetence not the governments.

  • CG, Nice try, but you're just reporting what Gibbs said! You might need to listen to what the care dealers are saying... they've filled out the forms fine... but wasn't it just days ago.... Gibbs didn't say ANYTHING about the "paperwork wasn't filled out right", did he? The problem was THEY DIDN'T expect or plan for this program!

And.. what a success... now we have MORE people getting into debt!

But I guess if your thinking like obamer.... increasing your debt is a good thing, right?

  • The comparison between the Public Option and the Cash for Clunkers program is an absurd one on the face of it.

For one thing, the government knows what it is getting into as far as hiring administrative staff for the program. For another there is a big difference between a program such as this the Clunkers and an insurance program. The comparison is ridiculous.

  • CG,

NO more "absurd" than when obamer said the Post Office is run so inefficiently!

The basic point, since you don't seem to be getting it..... is that ANYTHING the government runs..... is ALWAYS a failure with a few exceptions.... the Military and..... well, can't think of anymore! LOL

  • Actually the analogy is supposed to be an example of private companies surviving despite a large public competitor, but I do agree that that comparison is absurd as well and I wish he and his people would stop using it.

  • CG,

I agree with you.. the comparison is a bit off. Private companies must rely on profits (bad word! lol) to operate their business and add the costs on to their product/services.

With the government, they can offer the product/service at a wholesale price, but add on the "hidden costs" in the form of taxation or "wealth distribution" from others!

However, the gov can take money from the "piggy bank" to fund other pork projects.. and NO ONE can stop them!

    Social Security a prime example!

  • 40% profit? What insurance company attains anywhere near a 40% profit? And, although there are exceptions, insurance companies in general are not screwing their customers to maintain their profit margins (especially a 40% margin). According to Yahoo Finance, the most recent profit margin figure for the Health Care Plans industry is 3.3%. Show me one insurance company that has had anywhere near a 40% profit margin.

  • Sorry, it runs around 40% with administrative costs plus profit. I thought that 40% sounded a high.

The numbers are wrong, but the point is still the same. Those that have to buy their own insurance don't have the same protections as employer based programs and get dropped or denied if they cost too much in order to protect profits.

For the employee based insurers if they have a large claim they will just raise rates to the point that the company has to change companies or drop coverage

  • If private insurance companies were refusing to pay and kicking customers out on a wide-spread basis, then those insurance companies would be going out of business. As I said before, I'm sure there are exceptions, but as a rule insurance companies are providing the coverage they have promised to their customers (individual or employer-based).

  • No they wouldn't they are kicking them out so they won't go out of business. One someone gets a serious illness, that means that they will lose money on that patient not earn money, so they only keep the people they can make money off of. That is how they stay as profitable as they are.

"a rule insurance companies are providing the coverage they have promised to their customers"

Yeah, but 1 in 100 of individual insurance holders is not rare enough.

  • You make no sense. Insurance coverage is a product. It is sold to consumers in a free market economy. If insurance companies are ripping off customers on a wide-spread basis, customers (individuals or employers) will stop purchasing the product and purchase the product from another company. It's very simple. Therefore, there is no wide-spread problem with insurance companies ripping off customers.

  • It is not in a free market economy. It is anything but. In many states there is basically a state sponsored monopoly where one company owns 75% of the market. You have never had to look for insurance as an individual have you? There aren't any real options. There is nothing free market about the insurance market.

  • Yes. I have looked for and purchased insurance. The choice was difficult because there were so many options/plans to choose from.

Your previous example (insurance companies kicking people out so they won't go broke) is like saying Walmart is kicking people out of it's stores who only buy clearance items, because they aren't making any money off those customers.

A "state sponsored monopoly" in many states. And you want more government involvement? Again, you make no sense. Show us proof.

  • "A state sponsored monopoly in many states. And you want more government involvement?"

Actually, the national health exchange would break up that state monopoly system and allow people more choice than they have now. The plan they they are pushing is more free market than it is now. Now only usually one or two large companies own the majority of the market in the state and you can't buy across state lines. The NHE would break that system up.

  • This is simply not true, and therefore must be challenged.

According to 2005 statistics from the US Government Accountability Office, the median number of insurance carriers in the small group category per state was 28. The median market share per state was 43%. In only 3 states was the market share of the largest insurance carrier near or over 75% (Alabama, North Dakota, and Vermont).

  • What are you talking about? Most insurance companies rip off their customers. Why you may ask. They just want money. That's all health insurance companies want. No one can just drop all of the companies, then they'd have to pay all medical things out of pocket. It's a lose-lose situation. Pay $14,000 dollars now or in 1 month, its your choice.

  • So, even though "most insurance companies rip off their customers" according to you, the customers still keep coming back to get ripped off time and time again? That's idiotic. This is where you liberals really have a difficult time. You can't handle facts and logic. I just presented facts, which can easily be verified, to which you reply with baseless accusations.

Moderates/independents take note. Turn away from liberalism and embrace Conservatism or end up like MrLiberal123.

  • Your not understanding. It's a lose-lose situation right now. Its like gas was. Instead of lowering gas prices, they raised them. We couldn't do a damn thing about it. Millions of people would still use gas. Then, people started to ride bikes, take public transportation, ect. Thats when gas prices lowered. The Public Option is like, in this hypothetical, the public transportation, the bikes, ect.

  • I understand perfectly. You are correct, the free market system (supply and demand) was responsible for bringing down gas prices. However, the Public Option for health care will not have a free market effect. It will be a government takeover of health care that will result in lower quaity care and higher costs (at least for those of us who pay income taxes). I reject the Public Option because it has failed everywhere it has been tried. Americans deserve better than government-run health care.

  • It isn't a government takeover of healthcare, but I'm not close minded. Instead of just saying, "your wrong, your wrong YOUR WRONG!!!!!!!!" I'm going to listen to why you think this and I'll reply as best I can. Fire away.

  • Very simple.

Page 16 of H.R. 3200 ("Grandfathered Health Insurance Coverage Defined"). If your coverage changes in any way, it is not acceptable under this bill if it becomes law. There is only one option left, the "Public Option". This bill was designed as a back door government takeover of health care. Plain and simple.

Moderates and Independents pay attention. Once the government controls health care, they control every aspect of your life. Is that what you really want?

  • Which line? I have the page open, I'm looking and looking, but I can't find something that says that, but it does say this: "GRANDFATHERED HEALTH INSURANCE COV

ERAGE DEFINED-Subject to the succeeding provisions of this section for purposes of establishing acceptable coverage under this division the term grandfathered health insurance coverage means individual health insurance coverage that is offered and in force and effect before the first day of Y1 if the following conditions are met"

  • It is one of the "following conditions" referred to.

    Lines 21-26.

Here is the quote directly from the bill: "LIMITATION ON CHANGES IN TERMS OR CONDITIONS.—Subject to paragraph (3) and except as required by law, the issuer does not change any of its terms or conditions, including benefits and cost-sharing, from those in effect as of the day before the first day of Y1."

The word "any" at the end of line 23 is very important.

All anyone has to do, unlike Democrat politicians, is read it.

  • You are so right. I moved to Europe, and have lived in 2 countries outside the US, each with a different health insurance systems: one a single payer, the other with insurance companies but mandatory coverage (cheaper in unadjusted $ than the HMO was 20 years ago). Both are better than what I personally experiences in the US, whether uninsured or in a company-plan HMO. I would have lost my house with the accident I had 6 years ago -- if it had been in the US. Keep posting.

  • Thanks for the support, I will.

  • Do you know what recision is? It is when a policy holder has a large medical expense and then the company goes through your medical history and find some BS reason to cancel your insurance so that they don't have to pay your claim. Because they haven't put enough money in their budget to compensate for such an expense.

    cont...

  • Instead of honoring the contract and taking a hit to their profits they kick you out and retroactively cancel your policy and tell the doctors and hospitals to charge you. It is estimated that this happens to 1 in 100 of self insured, it is against the law for employer based insurance.

As soon as you get a major illness they don't give a damn about you and will screw you to save money because now you are a financial burden instead of a profitable customer. That is how it works.

  • CG,

And here's another one for ya.

    obamer says there's 47 Million w/o H.C. coverage, right?

But the CBO says that even after 10 years, there'll STILL be 17 Million w/o H.C. coverage!

So, once again... why should the American People support something that only gives us a net gain of 30 Million leaving out 17 Million in coverage?

Would YOU buy into a company that promised to cover 100%...

But before it even starts, it's projected to be ONLY 64% successful?

Sounds like BAD business to me!

  • I am sorry, but I am not going to get in another conversation with you bigtex501. It was evident from our last conversation that you are just an ignorant blowhard that is just eating up and spitting out all the propaganda you get fed by Rush Limbaugh and Faux News. Here's a hint. Turn of the propaganda stations and find a legitimate source of info that doesn't make a living by lying to ignorant conservatives to make them feel good about themselves.

  • CG,

What? You didn't like what obamer's Congressional Budget Office said? You didn't like the fact that there's so much confusion on a simple C4C program obamer started? You don't like the fact that your own party Democrats are turning on obamer?

BTY.. this information was obtained from NBC, ABC, MSNBC, and CBS.... ALL obamer supporters! LOL

  • Actually, I am an Independent. I think that declaring loyalty to one party or another makes people too emotionally invested in that group and impedes critical and independent thinking. It is evident that you on the other hand have no problem with compromising your independence and becoming a mindless goon of a political party.

I could educate you all night about the media and bias, but since you have given up all pretension of independent thought it is not worth my time or energy .

  • CG

I too am with no party at all!

& no, I don't want to compromise my independence under a socialistic dictator like obamer!

An example would be under the obamer plan, should I choose NOT to have ANY insurance at all 4 whatever reason, obamer will increase my taxes!

Page 110 TAXES ON INDIVIDUALS NOT OBTAINING ACCEPTABLE COVERAGE!

    And YOU support this?

Talk about giving up your "independence" & "DICTATING" what I MUST do?

And I doubt you could tell me anything about the media bias! lol

  • I've been listening to Rush for years. What is the propaganda you speak of?

  • There are all kinds of instances were people who have coverage are denied life saving treatment or diagnosis tests that would have saved their lives because the companies don't want to pay for it or they claim that the it was a preexisting condition. All you have to do is see one of the many documentaries on the subject of our health care system and you will know that the insurance companies literally let people die without a second thought.

  • Not all documentaries are reliable. Specific documentary that proves your assertion about insurance companies?

  • Most documentaries are about the uninsured that are denied coverage because they can't afford it or the companies don't think they will be profitable enough. This cherry picking indirectly kills people.

There are a few that directly tackle the problems that the insured face:

    - Sicko is the most famous and sensational, but just because it is sensational doesn't mean the stories of the people in the film are any less real

    continued...

  • ...continued

    - The BBC had a documentary as part of their Panorama series that is pretty good

    - There is also "Sick for Profit" that just came out from Brave New Films

    - PBS had "Sick around the World" and "Sick around America", the reporter in the latter complains about the editing being more pro-industry than he wanted (some blame the recent change to partial corporate funding for this) but it still takes on the unethical practices of the industry.

  • Michael Moore?

    never mind

  • You mean like FedEx and UPS? Dumbass.

  • Then why does our government fund so many private companies?

  • wrong the people did not vote them in to do any such thing. the gop voters stayed home because they became disgusted with the rinos who were acting like democrats. had the gop members in congress practiced fiscal responsibility in any way shape or form, the dems would not have won in 2006 or 2008. you might take a look around and notice that when a true conservative is on the ballot, the conservative most often wins. oh, and conservativism in europe is on the grow.

  • so just because an organization that 308stoner is a part of endorses something there can be no dissent? your ridiculous. it's not like the organization went to their membership for real input any more than unions go to there. newsflash for you: not all union members are democrats. or think obamacare is the wave of the future. or that obama is even a good guy let alone a good president.

  • i have read the constitution and the federalist papers and the anti-federalist papers. have you?

please help me to find the part of the constitution that gives permission to the government to take from one sector and give to another under the guise of helping. or benevolence. or charity. or anything of that sort.

  • i have read all current versions of the bill. the words being used by some on the right are summarizations and not verbatim, but the sentiment is accurate.

  • correct some of the right, the rest are making false claims. Ex. Sarah Palin on euthanasia and death panels :(

  • actually the opposite is true. democrats have long maligned our military, christians and jews, our presidents and our very way of life - all in the name of being good americans. however, let the conservatives voice an opinion and we're told we need to shut up and get out of the way. libs doing=patriotic duty; cons doing=idiots.

  • obama is the Abortion President. This and Gay Marriage will be what he is remembered for. Killing Children and giving perverts rights that do not belong to them. Barack Obama the gay abortion president.

  • When facts and reality arent on your side just bring up irrelevant garbage to muddy the waters. Bush didnt stop abortions; in fact abortions went up while he was in due to his axing reality based sex ed and social assistance programs. Bush was the post birth abortion President. 100,000 Iraqis were aborted thanks to him.

  • 4000 Abortions Happen EVERYDAY in the USA. 40% of those are Black Americans. 1.5 Million INNOCENT HUMAN LIVES ARE LOST EACH YEAR in the USA due to Abortion. 40% of those are Black. If it was not for abortion we would have already had a Black American President. He/She probably would have been EXCELLENT. Much Like a Frederick Douglass or a Martin Luther King. Those men stood up for innocent life.

  • While I've not verified your numbers, I can agree with you that abortions are horrible. Passing laws that will strip our rights away and not reduce abortions is not the way to go. Bush INCREASED abortions because of his assault on sex ed and social assistance programs. Give me a way to stop abortions without stripping rights away and I'm with you.

  • We need to be thinking about the people rather than corporate interests and lobbyists.

  • Cal, Haven't you heard.... obamer's using 1200 lobbyists to help him draft yet another H.C. bill? And we need to be thinking about the people rather than the corrupt politicians and...... their lobbyists, their special interest groups, their Socialistic destructive aspirations, Corporate interests like G.E., (now) G.M., AIG, numerous Unions, Media Matters, MoveOn org, ACORN, ACLU,3 Etc.....
  • Two things.

    1. Simply because there are conservative idiots at the town hall meetings causing disruption and behaving inappropriately, does NOT mean that all conservatives are this way. That is a broad generalization that is simply not true.

    2. Most Americans do not want government involvement in health care. That is precisely why nothing has passed. If Americans wanted government run health care, it would have passed years ago.

  • Not all of them behave like that - but they all support an absurd agenda that must be crushed.

  • I love my country and I support my president.

  • What I don't like, is a President that "caves" to the GOP. First they lied about death panels, then the public option. Let me know when the man I helped to elect (President Obama) finally shows up to fight what we elected him to do? Until then, I HOPE that he realizes that the GOP is the PARTY OF NO and they have NO interest in ANYTHING he wants to do. Some of our Democratic leaders are trying to follow the GOP (Blue Dogs or just plain Dogs) and they too can be replaced.

  • I don't like a Presedent that send our children to war for oil.

  • I am with you 1000%. I have a niece who just served 2 tours and now her fiancee (in officer training) may get deployed very soon. This needs to END, NOW!

  • The right wing is dead. Let us bury the remains and quickly.

  • Well done Mr. Stewart. It would be nice to have broad healthcare, like most of the industrialized world. No reason they can do it and we can't. Thank you for calling out the fools who are unpaid lobbyists for the insurance companies against their own interests.

It would be nice to have a civil discussion with them about what their concerns are, I'm sure (I hope!) some are legit, but as long as they keep the hysteria up, we'll just have to out vote them, like we did in the last election.

  • Or how about find one person that has it and wants to give it up. Or one person that's eligible who won't collect it when they are old. Every single one of these complainers will line up to collect their Medicare when they get old or disabled.

  • Not to mention, when the entire member pool is the old and the disabled of course it's going to have financial difficulties. If everyone were in the member pool it would be funded just fine and everyone would get health care. Seems like a no-brainer all this arguing and attempting to reinvent the wheel makes no sense. Time for Medicare for all.

  • I don't see people here giving up their Medicare.

  • ...and by "ordinary people coming together", I mean use union sympathizers to give a veneer of advocacy to an unbelievably unrealistic bill that Congress and the unions will not be subject to. Just you little people.

I am Mitch Stewart, and I approve this message.

  • Wow, don't have a debate on their views, CALL THEM LIARS! And then, don't talk about any relevant information, like the fact that 68% of Americans say they receive good/excellent health care.

If you believe one word this clown has said, then you are a dumb, a**.

  • outofmind,

"If you believe one word this clown has said, then you are a dumb, a**."

If there is a dumb ass, it is you right wing nut jobs! LOL

  • I totally agree with you! Those " partisan operatives" this man is referring to, are in fact, AMERICANS, the government can't silence a group's views, but they CAN manipulate people to believe otherwise...DON'T LISTEN TO HIM AMERICA! or rather LISTEN, BUT UNDERSTAND WHAT HE'S SAYING AND WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING BEFORE FORMING AN OPINION.

  • Here in the US people die in hospital waiting rooms because they don't have health insurance.

I need surgery but can't get it here. Why? Because no US health insurance company will help since it's a pre-existing condition.

We soooo need reform!!!! Go OBAMA!!!!!

  • Get the fuck outa my country then! Either get a job or move to England where the fucking government gives you everything.

  • I didn't know that the U.S. was YOUR country outamoney0....

It doesn't matter if you are rich or poor, insurance companies deny pre-existing conditions. Period.

I was born in Texas btw....You are such an idiot.

  • Damn right its my country! I was born here, I pay taxes here, and I'm gonna fucking die here.

"deny pre-existing conditions" Ill repeat, Move to fucking England then!

"I was born in Texas" You want your health care given to you, you shame the lone star.

"You are such an idiot" Why!? Because I got health care before I got sick?! FUCK YOU!

  • I feel exactly the same way friend. I own a construction business, have busted my ass my entire life, paid my taxes, served this country for 4 years in a bad time and I get these snotty nosed punk liberals telling me that I've been part of the problem? For 10 years I have had several employees, hard working fit people who are about ready to get laid off under Obama and his liberal plan. FAT??? FU!

The fact is, its these people who float this shitball and now they are gone,

    Now what!

  • Im glad some people still get it.

  • Jesus wouldn't be on the side of the Republicans or the Democrats sorry. The religions of Christedom who use icons in their worship (like the cross) are false Christians. Because if this were a Christian nation and Jesus was on the side of these protestors they wouldn't behave like this, shout lies, a disparging remarks.

  • bigtex501,

You may want to reread the bible.

    Please check Luke 20:25

And they weren't tax collectors whose tables were turned. They were gamblers and conmen. Most know different than the TV evangelist we have today.

Jesus wasnt against taxes, he preached that the wealth of this world was nothing, but its the wealth of the spirit that matters.

  • Felt, Oh, my BAD! (thanks for the help!)

Jesus turned over the tables of those selling animals for sacrifices that were with "blemish" instead of without "blemish".... According to the laws for "sacrifices" they were required to be w/o blemish. These "con-men" as you call them, were taking money from the poor and ripping them off by risking their sacrifice to not be accepted by God.

And I think Jesus did say "give unto Ceasar (or the Government) what Ceasar is due"?

  • Jesus could also perform miracles so he didn't really need health care did he? I openly invite him to come down and perform some more miracles anytime. Until then - we need to take care of each other. Health Care is the best way. "Love one another" not "get what's yours and let the rest suffer".

  • YES! YES! YES!

  • Ok that is true and I am not going to disagree with that. I don't believe Jesus would want the government to go to war under false pretenses either!

  • Followers of Jesus are putting their hope into the Kingdom of God not in the governments and politcal establishments of mankind. Daniel 2:44 refers to the kingdom (God's government ruled by Jesus Christ) that will not be brought to ruin. Just because people claim and call themselves Christian doesn't mean that they are according to the teachings of Christ. Christ was neutral in political affairs and his true followers would not take any side in this healthcare debate.

  • Get a different soapbox, you friggen Pentecostal nut job! Your Holy Ghost, or your Holy Spirit is a load of shit and you know it! You teach people to babble in tongues, and no unseen spirit has anything to do with it! How does it feel to be such a lying, phony bastard?

Religion is the biggest scam ever ran on Mankind!

  • Please pass the bill already so Fox viewers can get mad about something else. Lets go back to debating Barack Obama's citizenship....that stuff is funny to me.

  • While all of you are bussy about health care Obama has appointed to Devout Moselems to top posts in the Dept. of Homeland Secutity. Is that not like havinfg The Fox Guarding the Hen House.

  • all i can say is think for your self if anything dont listen to the media find the the facts for yourself and spread the word P.S. do not wacth anything fox news puts out there they are nothing but ignorant fools a joke and they shold leave the U.S. if they think their President is not trying to create a greater good

  • Thank you.. Someone with INTELLIGENT & COMMON SENSE!

  • Sk8, I've got even a better idea!

    READ THE BILL!

And..... if Fox thinks the Pestilence is not trying to create a greater good... then there's millions of Americans you're saying should leave as well!

    Rasmussen

52% disapprove of obamer with only 48% approving!

57% OPPOSE single payer proposal with 32% FAVOR!

51% FEAR the Gov more than Private Insurers & 41% dont

It's the PEOPLE saying obamer is NOT trying to "create a greater good"!

Looks like it's obamer that should leave the U.S.!

  • bigtex,

Let me take a wild, fly by my pants guess here; you are from the same village that puked out Bush! LOL Shove off, peckerwood, your time is done!

  • Wiska

Ahhh... don't like the fact that you Democrats and obamer are going down the tube?

    Rasmussen.......

44% favor the GOP on Health Care issues over 41% for Democrats

51% disapprove of obamer with only 48% approving!

57% OPPOSE single payer proposal with 32% FAVOR!

51% FEAR the Gov more than Private Insurers & 41% dont!

And your lame comments say nothing at all of your support or substance of obamer care!

Another blind obamer love affair! LOL

  • BigTexIdiot,

You think a few tea bagging peckerwoods are going to screw health care for the rest of the country? News flash, the American people are smarter than that!

And YOU are just a Glen Beck wannabe. LOL

  • Wiska, Now, now... temper temper! You really need to lighten up!

Once you calm down and start thinking for yourself in a rational fashion, you'll see that it's good for the American people to voice their concerns and opinions!

Now I know your love affair with obamer is strong... but the honeymoon's over and you should start seeing obamer for who he really is.... a Socialist trying to take over ONE SEVENTH of America's economy!

Have you even read the bill?

  • Another tool parroting it's statistics from FOX news.

  • It's actually the opposite. Fox spreads lies, and this guy is clearing them up.

  • Health care is not a need by everyone. And it should not be forced upon those who do not want it. Comparing a murderer to someone standing up for the right to claim their body as their own and not government property is a poor comparison. I agree with the Bible and helping others. I don't believe that pharmaceutical lobbyists have the right to make laws concerning my body. If this is allowed we are nothing more than cattle just like the Bible warned for us to not make the same mistakes.

  • I just can't stop pondering this video. It's just so blatantly disgusting. I just wanted to comment on what you label as an "extremist". An old man that probably fought in at least one war for this nation. Holding a teddy bear and showing up at a town hall meeting. Wow. You are pathetic if this is what you believe as extremist behavior. You have no right to label AMERICANS as being anything!

  • If a person act in any way that portray extremism or like some individuals at these town hall meetings then I sorry but that is Un-American. Just like if you murder someone, then it's fair to say that you are a murderer according to the Bible. I'm not saying we shouldn't get the facts I have health insurance, but I know people who don't and it isn't fair for insurance companies to the uninsured like that. The Bible says if thy brother or sister is in need help them, health care is a need.

  • Murdering someone and expressing your opinion are two very different things!

  • Courtney, Under your "Un-American" theory.. then you'll have to condemn all your liberal Democrat buddies that did the same thing during the Bush years when they were protesting his policies!

And how about the people obamer sent in to disrupt the town hall meetings themselves?

How about the "million" man march not too long ago?

And how about obamer himself.... his extremism and misinformation about something he knows very little about since he's admittedly NOT read the bill himself?

  • I;d label you an asshole.

  • Read the bill for yourselves!!!! Then you will understand why so many people are standing against it. Your body will become nothing more than government property for the real "drug lords", pharmaceutical and biotech corporations to conduct any experimental drug on you without your consent, even by arresting you and forcing immunizations upon you and your children. Forcing abortions of full term pregnacies and even terminating the life of your baby up to a month old. Sounds ludicrous? Read it!

  • To condemn Americans for speaking out there own local town meetings is morally wrong. It saddens me to see so many so called intelligent people allowing themselves to be sheep following a wolf in sheep's skin. What happened to thinking for yourself? Forming your own opinions based on your own research instead of being led by the lies mass media and propoganda videos like this one. We are AMERICANS! Not democrats or republicans. Don't fall for this divide and conquer BS. Read the health bill!

  • The more I hear your words, the more enraged I become at the hypocrisy of your words. The only rumors being spread are by people like you, working for Obama, creating propoganda videos. You probably haven't even read the bill for yourself. It is disgusting how quickly people shun their own human rights for a little security. In the words of a TRUE American, Benjamin Franklin, "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and will lose both".

  • Obama's science czar (John P. Holdren) believes in population control. He wrote a book called Ecoscience that talked about putting sterilization chemicals in public water supplies among other atrocities. He was laughed out of the scientific community. He never denounced his views. Now he is Obama's advisor and in control without congress or us controlling him. Just Obama. Do you have a mother or grandmother? If you believe the BS this man is feeding then you need to consider this.

  • You are part of the problem which is turning this great nation into a Fascist nation. To discredit senior citizens, who have served the system for the past 30-50 years of their lives for standing up for their health care rights, is shameful. YOU should be ashamed. This new health care does not mean free health care. If anyone is being run by the "drug companies" it is you and Obama supporters for this bill that will only serve the "legal" drug cartle, aka pharmaceutical/ bitoech companies.

  • Hi Mitch Stewart...I'm really sorry to see you so misguided and brainwashed. All these elderly sure look like shoe-ins for the insurance companies. I know that I'm extremely angry that the government is no longer listening to us. And I have absolutely nothing to do with Insurannce, drug companies, doctors, lawyers, politicans. I'm an AMERICAN and I for one am fed up with your propaganda BS!

  • Listen idiots, all of you!!! When Congress accepts the SAME coverage that they want to shove down our ASS, then we can talk. Until then Congree is going to exclude themselfs from the plan they say is good for us, but not good enough for them. Fuck anyone and everyone that supports reform that excludes the RICH! FUCK OBAMA and his health plan!

  • Damn straight. It's time all of us got medicare and medicare be properly funded.

  • Right on

  • America is being played by special interest groups! How come so much money is wasted in the military and no one bats an eye, yet sensible healthcare reform is such a no-no?

  • I don't want to pay for someone else's abortion.

I don't want to see the hard-working Americans' tax dollars go to pay for the free health insurance of people who don't work.

I don't want to see my government become a gravy train for the masses.

I'm sick and tired of this culture of entitlements.
