Fuck the 360 and PS3. All PC games now adays are made for Xbox or PS3 yet they are PC GAMES or started as PC. Any game that starts on PC and gets fixed down the line for Xbox or PS3 turn to shit.
Not saying that there aren't any good games for the consoles, but to leave PC only games as just that PC ONLY
For anyone watching this who never played the game: unlike most P.O.V. games, the object was NOT on blazing your way through levels like a first-person shooter. Initiating combat (or failing to avoid it) was usually ended in a very quick death. The emphasis was on stealth, sneakiness, staying quiet and in the shadows to avoid your enemies. If you haven't played it, you really missed out on something special.
this was released in 97...can you see how well designed the game is? most games in those days were very well designed, graphics were secondary..now its all about graphics and ppl have forgotten all about gameplay, thats why most of todays games suck. very few games were bad when this was released not all of them were great either but most of the games were good entertaining titles, for example compare rainbow6 1,2&3 with R6 vagas1&2 and you will know what I mean to say
@HardWarUK I agree with you friend, thats why i dont enjoy games the way i used to during the P2 , P3 and even the P4 era. newer titles have bad game design and hence they are no fun
God I love the Thief series. 12 years on and I could still happily belt through the whole series. I look forward to the day it gets an enhanced remake.

Most people (myself included) prefer the older games; however, you could argue about whether or not they were "better." The graphics and physics engine to the first two games are completely different from the third, so it's largely a matter of taste. That said, I do think the first two games have bigger levels, creepier baddies, and much more engaging story lines.
you cant buy them anymore they are for all intents and purposes abondon ware now...since looking glass died and ion storm is(as far as i know) also, Eidos now has the rights to the franchise...wich remain to be seen what they do after DS.
so you have to get the original games from one of the old sites or torrents...do a search on google.

i love this game, one of my fvorites. Garret is sic. the chick of the plants is dark and interesting. and the trickster was way crazy for a boss. quite original. 5outa5
The only people who have added any creativity to games in the past five years are the Ukrainians and other mainland asian nationalities that are starting to introduce themselves into the market. So really its to be expected as they have yet even reached industry threshhold yet.

well i actualy gathered all the cutsceans for the thief series and all the missing parts of the story. made up a new intro for every game and a total intro for the series and an outro then i made a movie called THIEF TRILOGY.

Dark Project was way better than Metal age. Zombies, bug-beast, crab-men, ape-men, monkey-men, spiders and fireballs are way better than walking machines!
Actually, Metal Age was the superior game for me- the zombies and the rest of creatures that usually accompany the undead made the first Thief quite frustrating. Also, Metal Age has a far superior story.
the universe in Thief is off the chain but they never capitalized heavily on it
