@kristinephan1999 If you look closely, you'll see that Nat bears no resemblance to the woman playing her "mum", which means that Nat was almost certainly adopted. She might still be of Vietnamese ancestry, but it's far from certain. She could be Han Chinese or even Filipina, for all we know. In any case, she's a banana...specifically an American banana, despite the weak Aussie accent. She's indeterminate Asian on the outside, pure American pop culture on the inside. It's tragic, really.
