Don't like the whispering, overly self-controlled Cavaradossi. German stiffness doesn't help portray Italian passion. CORELLI 1, 000, 000 TIMES BETTER. This guy can't clean his shoes.

There is much discussion about the quality of Mr. Kaufman's voice. There are those who say he is not a Tenor. He is indeed a Tenor. A Dramatic Tenor. He does have a dark baritonal quality to his voice yes but the soaring , lyrical high notes are there and gorgeouslu produced.Kaufman has a most exciting powerful and far ranging instrument that is beautiful to hear. Lay off the guy and enjoy him. He is unique.
